She was about to get in the car while holding Fu Mianmian, when Fu Rongyin extended his hand to take Fu Mianmian from her, inevitably causing their hands to touch.
Whether intentional or not, Fu Rongyin’s hand squeezed hers, his fingers tracing a path in the center of her palm.
Chi Yue’s heart skipped a beat, the images of him tornting her the previous night flooding her mind, and a flush of heat rose to her face.
She got into the car, cheeks warm, and sat next to him while Fu Mianmian talked to her from the other side.
As they talked, the hand Chi Yue had resting near him was suddenly grasped.

Upon arriving at Nan Bingyu’s place, Chi Yue was surprised to find Xi Yihang there as well.
Nan Bingyu pulled her aside and whispered, "I have no idea who told him, but he ca with a gift, saying it was for Xiao Bao’s birthday."
Chi Yue was sowhat anxious, "What does he an by this?"
"I just found out; he doesn’t know anything. He simply wanted to ingratiate himself with the two kids."
Chi Yue still frowned, "Both the Gu Family and the Fu Family are in deep trouble right now; how can he still be in the mood to co here?"
Nan Bingyu shrugged, "Who knows. But you and Fu Rongyin seem to be doing alright?"
She abruptly changed the subject.
Chi Yue narrowed her eyes slightly, "It’s just like that."
Though their relationship had ward, if they couldn’t improve it further, they were still bound to part ways.
"Tsk, what do you an ’just like that’? Didn’t you look in the mirror this morning?"
"What?" Chi Yue didn’t understand.
Nan Bingyu tugged at her collar, teasing, "Look at this, how rich is your nightlife, could you really bear to leave?"
Chi Yue suddenly rembered sothing and quickly covered her collar as she stepped back, her face turning extrely red.
Chi Yue cleared her throat and averted her gaze.

Chi Yue hurried forward to cover Nan Bingyu’s mouth, "Enough, if you keep it up the whole world will know."
Seeing Nan Yuan and Fu Hanyan approaching the front yard with the three kids, Nan Bingyu stopped teasing her.
"Fu Hanyan ntioned she intended to find you a few days ago, go ask her what it is about."

As Chi Yue approached Fu Hanyan, Fu Hanyan already walked toward her.
"Sister-in-law, I have sothing to discuss with you; let’s talk over there," Fu Hanyan said, glancing in Fu Rongyin’s direction before pulling Chi Yue to the back yard.
"A few days ago, I saw Lady Fan eting with Fu Xingchuan, and they seed to have struck so sort of deal. Since you’ve been quite close with Fu Xingchuan lately, you should be more vigilant."
Chi Yue frowned, "Are you sure it was them?"
"There’s no mistaking it, I’m afraid they might be plotting against you."
Although Fu Hanyan didn’t contact Chi Yue often, with the Fu Family and Gu Family’s profound influence on her interests, she also kept an eye on these two families.
Given that Fu Xingchuan had recently shown a deliberate interest in Chi Yue, she worried that those people might have so ulterior motives.
Chi Yue felt a warm concern and explained the situation with Fu Xingchuan to her, then added, "There’s no possibility between and Fu Xingchuan, I made that very clear last ti."
