Chapter 551: Chapter 551: Got It?
Chu Shuo, seeing the situation, decided to cut his losses and sat on the other side of Chi Yue, then addressed everyone, “This is Chairman Chi’s first ti attending such a gathering, please be patient if anything seems amiss.”
Because of the conversation between Chu Shuo and Lu Nanxi, those present had sensed so unusual issues, and so knew that Chi Yue and Fu Rongyin were a married couple. However, now that they had shown up with mbers of the opposite sex by their side, it inevitably led to so speculation.
However, since Chu Shuo had spoken, everyone implicitly agreed to turn a blind eye.
Halfway through the al, Chi Yue suddenly could not eat anymore. Her expression changed, and she suddenly covered her mouth and ran out.
Chu Shuo stared for a mont before realizing sothing and got up to follow her.
Chi Yue retched in the restroom for a long ti but couldn’t vomit anything. After washing her face and taking a long while to recover, she finally left the restroom.
Chu Shuo leaned against the hallway wall watching her, “Are you pregnant?”
Chi Yue glared at him, “What do you think?”
“I’m not you; how would I know?”
Chi Yue wanted to say sothing, but a wave of nausea hit her, and she ran back into the restroom.
After she managed to get herself together and ca out of the restroom, Chu Shuo grabbed her and they left.
“Is it okay for us to leave like this now?” Chi Yue couldn’t help but ask as they headed toward the main entrance.
“Is there anything more important than a human life?”
Chu Shuo drove Chi Yue to the hospital, speeding all the way.
When registering, Chu Shuo wanted to go to the gynecology departnt, but Chi Yue stopped him, “Just go to the ergency room.”
Chu Shuo, unfamiliar with these matters, let her decide.
When Chi Yue ca out from the ergency room, she saw Leng Siling, who gave her a slight smile, “Chu Shuo told you were feeling unwell and asked to accompany you for the examination.”
Chu Shuo was nowhere to be seen by then, and Chi Yue smiled, “He sure ran faster than anyone.”
Leng Siling didn’t ask anything but accompanied her to get blood drawn and then to have an abdominal ultrasound.
After that, Leng Siling gave Chi Yue a complex look, “How did it go?”
“We have to wait for the blood test results.”
Leng Siling instinctively looked at her abdon.
When Chu Shuo had called her earlier to say that Chi Yue was vomiting, he asked her to co over. Of course, she trusted Chu Shuo, but, if not, she trusted Chi Yue.
She was just very curious, if Chi Yue was indeed pregnant, what would happen with Fu Rongyin?
Soon, Chi Yue’s results ca out.
She wasn’t pregnant; she had eaten sothing wrong.
For so reason, Leng Siling felt sowhat disappointed after hearing this.
Chi Yue, with a hint of amusent, asked, “What did Chu Shuo tell you? It seems like the results didn’t et your expectations?”
“I’m not that disappointed, just felt it lacked a bit of excitent.”
Chi Yue tugged at the corner of her mouth, “Co on, take ho, please.”
“Do you have soone to take care of you at ho now?”
“Yes, the housekeeper is there.”
Leng Siling didn’t say anything else.
Suddenly, she stopped.
“Why aren’t you walking?” Chi Yue asked her.
Leng Siling looked ahead, and Chi Yue followed her gaze, only to see Fu Rongyin’s car parked at the roadside, with the tall man standing next to it, looking in their direction.
Chi Yue withdrew her gaze and, pulling Leng Siling, walked around the car and got in.
Leng Siling glanced outside the window, asking her, “You’re just going to leave like this?”
“Otherwise? Should I go up and catch up on old tis?”
Leng Siling pouted, after all, they used to be husband and wife, how heartless.
Chi Yue, unaware of what Leng Siling was thinking, pursed her lips, staring ahead, reflecting on everything that had happened these days.
Things were supposed to be as ordinary as ever, but sohow, they had beco strangers.
“Chi Yue, he’s following us.”
