The bathroom was filled with only the sound of water, and as ti stretched on, Nan Bingyu’s heart began to grow restless.
Fu Rongyin sensed his barely contained irritation and swiftly stripped off his clothes, taking his place behind her.
By the ti Chi Yue realized his intentions, it was too late, and she was already enveloped in his embrace.
eting his wolf-like gaze, Chi Yue shivered, "What are you doing?"
"Is this okay?"
No sooner had he spoken than he lifted her face, planting tender kisses on her brow, eyes, and lips.
Chi Yue clenched her fists, not wanting to give in to him, "Not today, I’m not in the mood, I don’t want to."
He remained silent, continuing his movents with such gentleness it was almost unseemly, as if he were handling a rare treasure.
Chi Yue closed her eyes.
If this made him feel slightly better, she wasn’t entirely averse to it.

Chi Yue was carried out of the bathroom, and the mont she hit the bed, she turned over, not wanting to lift her eyelids even slightly.
In her drowsiness, she felt him drying her hair.

Ah Rou hadn’t shown up again since that day, and it was as if nothing had happened between Chi Yue and Fu Rongyin.
That day, the family of three visited the Bai family, and just before leaving, Mrs. Bai Senior pulled Fu Rongyin aside for a talk.

Mrs. Bai Senior frowned, "What do you an it might not happen this year?"
"I want to discuss it with Yueyue before making any plans."
Mrs. Bai Senior had grown quite fond of him these past days, but his statent nearly reverted her opinion back to square one.
"The wedding is sothing you give to her, not sothing she begs for. You... never mind, if you don’t want to do it, then talk to her about it in advance. No girl doesn’t dream of a grand wedding, and Miss Yue is looking forward to one."
Fu Rongyin lowered his gaze, "I will."
After returning from the Bai family, Chi Yue put Fu Mianmian to bed before grabbing her bag and heading towards the entryway.
She happened upon Fu Rong coming out of the kitchen.
He furrowed his brow, "You’re going out this late?"
"Hmm, Xiao Yu is feeling a little unwell, so I’m going over to check on her."
Knowing the relationship between Chi Yue and Nan Bingyu, Fu Rongyin offered, "I’ll drive you."
"No need, you stay ho and take care of Mianmian. I’ll drive myself over," she said.
Chi Yue didn’t give Fu Rongyin a chance to respond and left after opening the door.
Nan Bingyu had already been discharged from the hospital and was recovering at ho while Nan Yuan seldom returned, leaving Fu Hanyan to keep her company.
Though Nan Bingyu’s opinion of Fu Hanyan had improved, they weren’t close enough to share everything, so she often called for Chi Yue.
Chi Yue expected Nan Bingyu to be feeling quite ill, but instead, she found her holding a waterlon and munching on it on the couch.
Nan Bingyu waved her over, "I saved half for you, co here."
Chi Yue: "..."
Sitting beside her, Chi Yue asked, "Where’s Fu Hanyan?"
"Oh, she’s out on a date with my brother."
Chi Yue was silent.
But Nan Bingyu seed at ease, "They’re too inconvenient with at ho, and they can’t just kick out, so they had to go out instead."
Chi Yue rested her forehead in her hand, "You really are taking it easy."
