Chi Yue watched them enter in a daze, not understanding why they would appear here.
By the ti she thought to look for Fu Rongyin’s expression, Fu Rongyin had already approached them, speaking discontentedly, "Why are you here?"
Ari smiled and said, "It’s ti for your follow-up check-up, and since you didn’t look for , I had to co find you myself."
After speaking, Ari turned her head to look at Chi Yue, "Are you ill? How do you feel?"
Chi Yue nodded slowly, a beat too late, her gaze falling on the woman next to Ari.
Ari noticed her look and nudged the person next to her forward, "Let introduce you, this is my sister, Ah Rou."
Ah Rou smiled at her shyly, "Hello, Chi Yue, I’ve heard my sister ntion you."
Ah Rou did indeed look a lot like Ari, which would be normal if they were sisters.
Chi Yue couldn’t manage a smile, offering only a faint greeting before closing her eyes wearily.
She heard Fu Rongyin lower his voice and say, "Let’s talk outside."
Imdiately after, footsteps resounded.
The sound of the door closing ca, and Chi Yue opened her eyes to find the room empty.
She stared blankly at the ceiling, listening to the not so clear voices outside the door; for a mont, her mood was surprisingly calm.
She didn’t know how much ti had passed when the door to the hospital room opened, and Fu Rongyin walked in.
Seeing Chi Yue with her eyes open, he frowned slightly, "Did I wake you?"
Chi Yue turned her head to et his concerned gaze, and she finally asked the question, "Did you call them here?"
Fu Rongyin’s frown deepened, "I didn’t know they would co, nor did I know how they found this place..."
Chi Yue cut him off, "Then what were you discussing outside for so long? What did you talk about?"
Even if Fu Rongyin was slow to realize, he now sensed that sothing was wrong with Chi Yue’s emotions. After a long silence, he asked, "Are you still mad at about the picture?"
"I don’t want to be angry, Fu Rongyin. In fact, I convinced myself last night that I had no right to be mad at you; after all, I had completely forgotten about you for those ten years, and in the end, I even got together with Fu Rao. But what about you? Knowing that I mind, you still called them here. What were you thinking?"
"That’s not what I ant. I didn’t know they would suddenly show up..." Fu Rongyin’s brow was tightly knit, as if he had thought of sothing, "I’ll go find out the truth and tell you later."
Chi Yue wanted to say sothing, but Fu Rongyin had already left.
Her expression was taut, and she seed lost in thought.
When Fu Rongyin returned to the hospital room, it was already late.
He looked slightly tired, the fatigue apparent in his eyes.
"Feeling any better?" he extended his hand to touch her forehead, but she turned her head away, avoiding his hand.
Fu Rongyin’s hand hung in the air for a long ti before he withdrew it.
He spoke with an awkward expression, "It’s true, just like Ari said, it’s ti for my follow-up."
Chi Yue laughed lightly, "For your check-up, she could’ve co to find you directly. Why bring soone else who’s unrelated?"
Fu Rongyin didn’t speak, seemingly searching for the right words.
In that mont, Chi Yue suddenly felt it was all so pointless.
She thought that after everything they had been through together, he at least wouldn’t hide anything from her, but his hesitation and reluctance shattered her belief in an instant.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, "You should go, I want to rest."
After waiting a long ti without hearing footsteps, she soon heard the sound of typing on a keyboard, knowing he didn’t intend to leave.
But it didn’t matter anymore.
