Chi Yue didn’t try to upstage the host, but let Fu Mianmian entertain Lu Nanxi.
Yet Lu Nanxi took the initiative to strike up a conversation with her.
"Miss Chi, Mianmian is a child who knows nothing, please don’t mislead her."
Chi Yue raised an eyebrow, "What have I misled her about?"

"Chi Yue," Lu Nanxi lowered her voice, "they say you really are my dad’s daughter from outside?"

When Lu Nanxi left, Chi Yue had no idea, she just knew that Lu Nanxi was furious when she left, tossing all the snacks she had made into the trash can.
At night, Chi Yue stayed with Fu Mianmian in her room, and while Mianmian slept, Fu Rongyin had not returned.
Chi Yue simply lay down beside her, and it wasn’t long before she fell asleep too.
She was awakened by Fu Rongyin’s noise.
Half asleep, she was picked up and carried to the master bedroom.
The mont Chi Yue was placed on the bed, she was fully awake, warily watching the man in front of her.
"What are you looking at for? Surely you haven’t forgotten, you have duties to fulfill," the man said, as he took off his shirt and entered the bathroom.
Chi Yue listened to the water running in the bathroom and felt panicked inside.
She hadn’t forgotten his illness; he was like this now, how could he still pretend as if everything was normal and have his way with her?
Since the last discharge from the hospital, she hadn’t heard any more news about his condition. Thinking this over, she sent a ssage to Chu Shuo.
Chu Shuo’s response ca quickly: [What’s up, he didn’t tell you?]
Chi Yue: [If I knew I wouldn’t be asking you.]
Chu Shuo: [Embarrassed to ask him directly? Okay, I’ll help you.]
Just as Chi Yue finished reading the ssage, Fu Rongyin’s phone rang.
His phone was casually placed on the nightstand next to him, with the incoming call showing Chu Shuo’s na.
Chi Yue’s eyelids twitched, ready to reach out and end the call, but just as she was about to do so, Fu Rongyin opened the bathroom door.
