Chapter 446: Chapter 446 She Thought the Child Was Already Dead

When Chu Shuo arrived at the hospital, Fu Rongyin still hadn’t woken up.

Chu Shuo’s face was drawn long with concern, “What exactly happened?”

Chi Yue told him everything the doctor had said to her earlier, as well as what Fu Mianmian had said.

Chu Shuo’s face turned dark, “Well, trying to die in secret, huh? Didn’t even think about the child. If he ends up without a father and a mother, what’s going to happen to him in the future?”

Chi Yue said, “If he undergoes surgery, there will be no one to take care of the child either.”

A wave of irritation passed over Chu Shuo, and he suddenly turned to her with a probing look.

Chi Yue’s scalp tingled under his gaze, “What are you looking at?”

“Chi Yue, you didn’t take in a word I said to you before, did you?”

“What are you talking about?”

Chu Shuo didn’t continue, but instead said, “When you have ti, go see your old colleagues.”

Fu Rongyin didn’t wake up until the afternoon, and only Chu Shuo was by his side.

With a smile that was not quite a smile, Chu Shuo said, “Well done, you’re truly devoted to your self-sacrifice act.”

Fu Rongyin glanced around at his surroundings and his face suddenly fell, “Why am I here?”

“You’ll have to ask Chi Yue about that.”

Fu Rongyin’s expression stiffened slightly, “Where is she?”

“She left with the child.”

Chu Shuo shifted his position slightly, his handso face taking on a serious air, “What do you plan to do? Have the surgery or not?”

Without thinking, Fu Rongyin said, “Not having it.”

Chu Shuo was equally straightforward, “Okay, then I’ll start arranging contact with the orphanage. If she ends up orphaned, the orphanage is the only place she can stay.”

“Chu Shuo.”

“Do you want to take her in? If it’s really not possible, then tell Chi Yue the truth. Let her know the child is hers.”

After pondering for a while, Fu Rongyin said, “She can’t find out, she thinks the child is already dead.”

Chu Shuo was taken aback, “What did you say?”

“After she went to prison, she developed a severe psychological illness; she has episodes upon seeing the child. So, Nan Yuan told her that the child was dead, and only then her condition gradually stabilized.”

“Absurd!” Chu Shuo found it all too absurd.

The child was born to Chi Yue; he did not believe the child would beco her psychological demon.

Besides, isn’t she getting along quite well with Fu Mianmian now?

However, Fu Rongyin stated, “If you don’t believe it, you can go ask Nan Yuan.”

Nan Yuan’s visit the previous night had been unexpected for him.

What Nan Yuan said later was also unknown to him.

He hadn’t slept all night, which had caused him to faint that morning.

Chu Shuo still thought it was absurd.

Chi Yue looked so much more normal than Fu Rongyin, far from soone with a psychological illness.

He glanced at the ti, “I’ve got other things to do, I’ll co to see you tomorrow. Oh, and you should fire Lu Nanxi, she’s crossed the line.”

The ntion of Lu Nanxi brought an unmistakable disgust to Chu Shuo’s eyes.

That woman’s motives were far too strong. Apart from an employer-employee relationship, she had nothing to do with Fu Rongyin, yet the way she ca over to speak with him earlier, she acted as if she was the owner herself.

However, Fu Rongyin countered, “Is she bothering you?”

“Not at all, it’s just that I find her disagreeable. My advice to you, if you want to accumulate so rit for Mianmian, you’d better fire her sooner rather than later. She’s going to cause trouble.”

After he finished speaking, he left, and before exiting he glanced at his phone as if he had an appointnt.

For the following day, neither Chi Yue nor Fu Mianmian ca to visit. Instead, Lu Nanxi stopped by twice.

Fu Rongyin handed her the prepared wages, “The hoschooling period has ended, and Mianmian will be going back to school.”

Lu Nanxi received the wages, “Okay.”

After Lu Nanxi reported on Fu Mianmian’s learning progress, she took her leave.

Chi Yue and Fu Mianmian encountered Lu Nanxi at the door. Fu Mianmian greeted her, but Lu Nanxi walked past them as if she hadn’t seen her, without a sideways glance.

The first thing Fu Mianmian did upon entering the hospital room was to climb onto the bed and tattle.

“Daddy, Teacher Lu just ignored . Does she not like anymore?”

“Hmm, I’ll get you a new teacher tomorrow.”

Fu Mianmian nodded, feeling that Teacher Lu was sotis very strange.

Chi Yue waited for them to finish talking, preparing to say sothing, but then a woman walked into the room from outside.

Chi Yue recognized her as the middle-aged woman who had spoken to Fu Rong at the restaurant that day.
