Chi Yue finally understood his purpose.
He rely wanted to prove whether or not she was Lu Xuhui’s daughter.
“I can’t,” Chi Yue refused.
Lu Cheng showed a look of surprise. “What do you an?”
“It’s normal for my mother to have kept a photo with friends from her youth, regardless of their gender. Just based on this photo, you want to do a paternity test with you? What would Mr. Lu think if he knew?”
“Well spoken! You’re right, and I can’t argue with that. But my father doesn’t have many days left, and I don’t want him to pass with regrets.”
Chi Yue shook her head. “Doing this will only put the old gentleman in a difficult position. Instead of spending ti looking for this unlikely scenario, it’s better to spend more ti with him.”

With that, she stood up and left.
Lu Cheng watched her departing figure and smiled. “What if I told Nan Yuan about your affair with Fu Rongyin? I wonder if your wedding could still go on as planned?”
Chi Yue stopped in her tracks, a hint of anger visible in her eyes.
But soon, she continued walking out. “Thank you for letting know. If anything goes wrong with my wedding, I’ll bla it all on you.”
“Really? Then I’ll wait till your wedding day to tell him, and see how he handles it.”
It was unclear whether Chi Yue heard him, but she disappeared in a mont.
When she returned to the hotel, the secretary had already completed the tasks.
The two were now waiting for the contract from Boss Huang. Once the contract arrived, she could leave this gloomy place.
Chi Yue did not want to stay here for a mont longer.

Fu Rongyin was preparing to rest when he heard a knock at the door. The mont he saw Chi Yue, his eyes narrowed dangerously.

Chi Yue knew nothing; she had co to him instinctively.
Subconsciously, she felt soothed only by being near him.
Fu Rongyin had always had little resistance to her. Sounds of clothes rustling filled the room, and soon, there were also so suppressed sobs…
Chi Yue woke up at noon.
Turning over, the touch of skin against skin was too noticeable, causing her to freeze in place, daring not to move.
