The next morning, Yolanda Greenwood went to the hospital early and unexpectedly ran into lissa Greenwood on the first floor.
"Yolanda, you’ve got so nerve showing up here," lissa said with disbelief.
"I’m here to see Grandpa," Yolanda said, ignoring her and heading for the elevator.
Unexpectedly, lissa grabbed her, "Yolanda, you almost killed Grandpa, you’re not welco here."
"Grandpa asked to co," Yolanda shouted angrily, "and I didn’t take the wrong dicine yesterday, nor would I ever harm Grandpa."
"You still want to deny it?" lissa pulled out her phone, "I’ll call Cooper right now, if he agrees, I’ll let you go up."
Yolanda’s heart began to pound violently.
"Are you Yolanda?" Suddenly, a deep and pleasant voice sounded.
Yolanda looked in the direction of the voice and saw a man in military uniform approaching. He resembled Cooper Coldson to so extent but with harsher features and an aura of authority.
She didn’t recognize him.
"Big brother," lissa spoke up ingratiatingly on the side, "what are you doing here?"
It was Cooper’s older brother, Noah Coldson.
Noah glanced at lissa indifferently, then turned to Yolanda, "Are you Yolanda?"
Yolanda nodded.
"Then co up with ," Noah said as he turned and entered the elevator.
"Big brother," lissa continued to hold onto Yolanda, "you don’t know, it was her who got the wrong dicine yesterday, Grandpa had to be taken to the ergency room, and now you’re taking her up with you..."
Noah slightly frowned, interrupting lissa, "All I know is that Grandpa said this morning that he wanted to see her."
His voice was deep, and his presence was commanding; lissa was unable to fight back.
She had no choice but to let go.
"Let’s go," Noah said to Yolanda.
"Oh," Yolanda was a bit afraid of him, but since he had helped her, she obediently followed him into the elevator.
She kept her head down the entire ti, not daring to breathe loudly.
Noah stood behind her, looked down at her, and suddenly spoke, "Your na is Yolanda Greenwood?"
"Ah?" Startled, Yolanda replied, "Yes."
"You’re Cooper’s wife?"
Yolanda nodded, "Yes, but that will soon change."
"Hm?" Noah seed surprised.
"You might not be clear on the details since you’ve been abroad," a hint of sadness appeared in Yolanda’s eyes, "the lissa you just saw is the one Cooper is going to marry. I... I’m about to get a divorce from him."
The elevator doors opened upon reaching the floor.
Noah stood still, clearly waiting for Yolanda to go out first.
Yolanda forced a smile at him and stepped out of the elevator first.
She didn’t get far before she felt Noah following closely behind, maintaining a respectful distance.
It must be said, having a soldier behind you brings not only a sense of pressure but also an inexplicable feeling of security.
At the door of the hospital room, Yolanda still felt timid.
While she was ntally preparing herself, Noah reached out and pushed the door open.
Cooper was not there, but Isabella Ross was, and Old Master Coldson had his eyes closed, resting.
Isabella saw Yolanda and imdiately moved to eject her, "How could you..."
"I brought her up," Noah’s deep voice ca from behind Yolanda.
"Noah, do you realize..." Isabella looked anxious.
"Ever since Grandpa woke up, he’s been asking for her." Noah’s stance was undeniable, "Mom, why don’t you head back first?"
Isabella Ross looked at Noah Coldson, her mouth opened slightly but in the end, she didn’t say anything. Instead, she glared at Yolanda Greenwood fiercely before pushing the door open and leaving.
Noah Coldson slightly bowed his head, "Do you need to co in with you?"
"No, thank you," Yolanda Greenwood genuinely sighed with relief. She was especially afraid of getting into a fight with Isabella Ross at the entrance of the hospital room, which would have just saddened Old Master Coldson.
She gratefully pulled the corner of her mouth towards Noah Coldson.
"Don’t be scared, I’ll be right outside the door, not going anywhere." Noah Coldson nodded, closed the door properly, and stood guard outside.
Yolanda Greenwood was touched once again.
"Yolanda?" Old Master Coldson woke up, "Have you co?"
"Grandpa!" Yolanda Greenwood turned her head, already in tears, "Grandpa, are you alright?"
"Silly child, why are you crying? Grandpa is just fine." Old Master Coldson struggled to raise his hand, wanting to touch Yolanda Greenwood’s head.
Yolanda Greenwood imdiately leaned in closer, "Grandpa, about yesterday’s dicine..."
"Grandpa knows, Yolanda couldn’t have made a mistake." Old Master Coldson gently touched the top of Yolanda Greenwood’s head, "Nurse Howard has already resigned and left, it was probably just an accident on her part."
"Grandpa, thank you for believing in ." Yolanda Greenwood wept like rain; it was such a pity she wouldn’t be able to continue taking care of such a wonderful grandfather.
"Silly girl," Old Master Coldson’s eyes also beca moist, "you’ve been wronged."
"It’s ok, as long as Grandpa is doing well, whatever happens to Yolanda doesn’t matter." Yolanda Greenwood shook her head.
"My child," Old Master Coldson let out a deep sigh, "you should go tomorrow and get the divorce with Cooper settled. This old man really can’t face asking you to give him another chance."
"Grandpa..." Yolanda Greenwood knew the old man felt sorry for her.
"I apologize to you; the Coldson Family owes you an apology." Old Master Coldson looked out the window, "I apologize to you on their behalf, it’s us who do not deserve this fortune."
"Grandpa," Yolanda Greenwood saw the tears fall from the old man’s eyes, "you will always be Yolanda’s grandpa. Whenever you call for , I’ll co and see you."
"Good, good child, good child."
Outside the hospital room, Cooper Coldson ca up with lissa Greenwood.
"Big brother," Cooper approached Noah Coldson, "did you bring Yolanda Greenwood up?"
Noah Coldson glanced at lissa Greenwood, then towards Cooper, "Grandpa wanted to see her."
"Grandpa is just too nice to her, she doesn’t weigh the consequences properly, and almost caused harm to Grandpa." Cooper Coldson looked annoyed.
Noah Coldson did not respond.
Soon, the hospital room door opened, and just as Cooper was about to say sothing, his line of sight was blocked by Noah Coldson.
Noah Coldson stood between Cooper and Yolanda Greenwood, looking down at Yolanda Greenwood, "I’ll take you downstairs."
"Thank you, big brother." Yolanda Greenwood wiped her tears and tried to muster a smile.
The two took the elevator down together.
At the mont of parting, Noah Coldson suddenly asked, "Yolanda, do you want to divorce Cooper?"
"..." Yolanda Greenwood looked puzzled.
She didn’t understand what Noah Coldson ant; her marriage with Cooper had never been about what she wanted.
It started that way, and it would end that way.
"Leave your contact information." Noah Coldson didn’t press further, taking out his phone, "If you want to call Grandpa, use my number."
"Really?" Yolanda Greenwood thanked him repeatedly for a good while, watching as Noah Coldson went back.
She looked towards the hospital room above, only hoping that the old man would recover soon.
Yolanda Greenwood sighed softly; tomorrow, she would have to divorce Cooper Coldson. Old Master Coldson would likely tell Cooper as well.
Well, she was finally going to be free.
Yolanda Greenwood was ready to leave when she suddenly spotted a familiar figure entering the hospital.
"Lola?" She ran up a few steps, but was startled when the person turned around.
