Yolanda Greenwood had just arrived back at the villa when Jasmine King finished setting the lunch.

"Is Madam back?" Jasmine was delighted, "Did Madam have lunch? Do you want to eat with Mister?"

"I’ve already eaten." Yolanda struggled to divert her gaze, looking at Cooper Coldson, "I’ll wait for you in the living room."

"Sit down and eat," Cooper commanded.

"Oh." Yolanda was indeed hungry, and Aunt Jasmine’s cooking was particularly good; she’d actually missed it a bit.

She put down her stuff and sat opposite Cooper, quickly beginning to wolf down the food.

She was indeed starving.

"Eat slowly, what kind of behavior is this?" Cooper was displeased again.

Yolanda puffed her cheeks and glared at him, Cooper really was like an emotionless robot, showing no signs of normal human desires.

Completely unlike Christopher Coldson.

Christopher was the type of person who cared only about his own desires, never regarding others as human.

Yolanda couldn’t help but think, for such a cold-blooded person like Cooper to be determined to marry lissa Greenwood was indeed rare.

Thinking of this, the food in her mouth suddenly lost its flavor.

She sniffled and put down her chopsticks.

"Can I borrow so money?"

"Let’s talk after you’ve finished eating."

"I’ve finished eating."

"I haven’t finished yet."

Yolanda rolled her eyes, the small half-bowl of rice in front of Cooper, he could eat for a year.

Annoyed, she asked Aunt Jasmine for another bowl of rice: it’s free, and who knew if there would be a next al?

Now it was Cooper’s turn to wait for her.

Cooper looked disgusted, "Why are you eating so much now? Doesn’t Lola Gold feed you?"

Yolanda swallowed the last bite of rice, indeed feeling a bit stuffed.

She couldn’t bother to respond to Cooper’s questions and asked again, "Can you lend the money? Two million, I’ll pay you back later."

"What for?" Cooper raised an eyebrow, "To buy Lola’s freedom?"

"You!" Yolanda stood up abruptly, "Will you lend it or not?"

Cooper shook his head, "Do you think my uncle would miss those two million? Not just two million, even twenty million, he wouldn’t change his mind."

Yolanda’s eyes reddened with anger, why were their joys and sorrows so cheap? Just because they had no money?

She knew Cooper was right, "You really are all family!"

She grabbed her things and stord off.

Cooper frowned, looking at Jasmine King, "Why do I feel like she was scolding just now?"

"..." Jasmine tugged at the corner of her mouth, quickly finding sothing else to do.

Still, Cooper had Richard Reyes send Yolanda money, five million, but soon after, Richard said that the money had been rejected.

Cooper nodded in relief, "Good, she’s not beyond saving."

After leaving the Coldson Family, Yolanda returned to work; she was now a manager, with relatively free ti.

As soon as she entered the office, she saw lissa Greenwood there too.

"Manager Greenwood," lissa greeted her with a smile, "Co have afternoon tea with us, my treat."

"No need." Yolanda headed to her own office, "I ate too much at lunch, not hungry."

lissa chased after her, "Manager Greenwood really isn’t giving face, this is a little token from before I leave, everyone has a share."

Leave?

Yolanda looked puzzled.

lissa nodded, "I’ve resigned."

"Congratulations." Yolanda wasn’t surprised, a person who joined through plagiarism was bound to leave sooner or later.

"It’s Aunt Ross’s suggestion, after all, I’m going to marry Cooper, and she wants to be a full-ti housewife to take good care of Cooper."

lissa was satisfied to see Yolanda’s figure stiffen.

Yolanda shut the door of her office and then slowly exhaled.

Her weak nose tingled, and she quickly busied herself with work, not allowing herself any ti to ponder.

lissa, having achieved her objective, happily returned to the hospital.

As soon as she reached the hospital ward, she saw Gemma Morgan’s attending physician, Easton Watson, there.

Easton was clearly waiting for her, and as soon as she returned, he pulled her aside, "Your mother is about to wake up."

"No!" lissa’s face changed imdiately, "She can’t wake up now."

Easton looked helpless, "There’s nothing I can do about it; I’ve only managed to delay for so long, you’ll have to figure out sothing else."

After speaking, he turned to leave.

"Stop!" lissa took out her phone, found a recording, and sent it to Easton, "Dr. Watson, listen to this when you get back; maybe you’ll change your mind."

Easton was shocked, turning the phone volu to its lowest before listening by his ear.

Just as he heard the first sentence, he shut it off.

"Are you scheming against ?"

It turned out, on the day lissa made the deal with him, she secretly recorded it.

lissa pursed her lips, "Dr. Watson, my request isn’t unreasonable, I just hope my mom can rest more, thank you for your effort."

"You!" Easton was furious.

"Dr. Watson, I’ll be heading back," lissa turned and left.

Easton, alone, returned to his office and thought it over; now, there was only one thing he could do.

He would tamper with Gemma’s dication.

Thinking this, he went alone to the pharmacy and took Gemma’s dication for the evening in advance.

Lynn Gage, Nurse Gage, was responsible for changing Gemma’s dication daily; she went to the pharmacy in the evening to get the dications, only to be told they had been taken by Easton already.

"Taken already?" Lynn found this strange.

First, as the attending physician, Easton wasn’t responsible for getting dication or giving injections to patients; second, it was not yet ti to change dication, so why did Easton take it so early?

She went to Easton’s office with doubts.

"Dr. Watson, the pharmacy said you took Aunt Morgan’s dication early."

"Yes." Easton pointed with his chin, "There it is, take it away."

Lynn checked out the prepared dication and felt even stranger.

"Dr. Watson, did you prepare this dication?"

"Yeah." Easton, his back drenched in cold sweat, answered with his head low, "I was thinking whether to change it or not, ended up not changing it, and just prepared it directly."

He couldn’t dare to look at Lynn, "Just take it and give it to the patient."

Lynn hesitated and didn’t move, "Dr. Watson, this seems not quite according to the rules, I’d better go get a new one."

"What’s not according to the rules?" Easton got angry, "I just prepared the dication in advance, just use it, stop dawdling, hurry up."

"Oh." Lynn, carrying the tray of dication, left.

She reached the ward where Jaxon Greenwood and lissa were.

"Uncle Greenwood, Miss Greenwood," Lynn, weighed down with thoughts, announced, "I’m here to administer the dication to Aunt Morgan."

"Thank you." Jaxon was in a good mood; earlier that day, he had seen Gemma’s finger move again, it seed she would wake up soon.

He smiled warmly at Lynn, "Nurse Gage, you’ve really been a great help these days."

"Uncle Greenwood overpraises , it’s my duty." Lynn hesitated for a mont, then switched the dications, "Done, I’ll go get busy now."
