Yolanda Greenwood thought for a long ti before concluding, "I don’t understand."
She elaborated, "In the Coldson Family, Christopher has always been regarded as the most unreliable and least ambitious person, but I always feel... he’s not like that."
Lola Gold nodded thoughtfully, "Indeed, it’s hard to understand."
"Hmm?" Yolanda felt puzzled. Lola had hardly any interaction with Christopher Coldson, so why would she say she couldn’t understand?
"What I an," Lola started her sharp critique, "this man obviously isn’t anything good, but he still takes care of you, which really is puzzling."
Yolanda smiled, "So, do you think it’s feasible for him to deliver the painting to Grandpa?"
"It shouldn’t be a problem." Lola nodded in agreent, then couldn’t help but complain, "It’s definitely better than giving it to that blind and foolish Cooper."
"Alright, I got it." Yolanda imdiately contacted Christopher Coldson, and they arranged a ti and place.
The next day, Yolanda asked Lola to go with her, but Lola declined, so she had to go alone.
Upon reaching the eting point, she saw Christopher Coldson had already arrived.
"Did you co alone?"
As a bona fide wealthy second-generation who was also idle, Christopher Coldson exuded a casual charm.
Today, he was wearing a champagne-colored sweater, which made him look even more noble.
"Hmm?" Yolanda sat across from him, feeling that Christopher Coldson might have had more to say, "Otherwise?"
Christopher Coldson chuckled lightly, "I thought your inseparable best friend would co with you."
"Lola?" Yolanda explained, "She’s really busy."
Although, she didn’t know exactly what was keeping Lola so busy; she probably just didn’t like Christopher Coldson.
Yolanda then inquired about Old Master Coldson’s condition, and was deeply happy to hear that the old man had been discharged from the hospital.
She took out the painting and handed it over, "Uncle, this is the dream sequence Grandpa asked to paint. I’ve finished it, can you deliver it to him for ?"
"Can you paint with your left hand now?" Christopher Coldson did not take it.
"Yes, although it’s a bit slower, the quality is almost the sa." Yolanda was happy for herself, "These days, I’ve decided to go back to work."
"Good for you." Christopher Coldson nodded, "Is this the only reason you wanted to see ?"
"Yes." Yolanda pushed the painting forward again, "Uncle, please just deliver it for ."
"Why not ask Cooper?"
Yolanda hesitated for a mont, "It’s not really convenient."
Christopher Coldson stood up, "It’s inconvenient for as well."
He walked away with long strides, "You should find your own opportunity to go back and deliver it; I don’t have ti to go back to the old house recently."
"Uncle," Yolanda hurried after him, "please help out. I’m about to divorce Cooper, it really isn’t convenient for to go to the old house."
Christopher Coldson utterly ignored her. Clearly, the man was capricious—when he said he wouldn’t help, he ant it.
Yolanda watched as he got into the car and left.
"Ah!" she sighed and sent a ssage to Lola.
[Uncle won’t help, this man is really strange! Never mind, I’ll take it there myself in a few days!]
Yolanda took a taxi and left, planning to go back to Baruy.
She didn’t notice that after she and Christopher Coldson had left, lissa Greenwood also ca out of the café.
lissa didn’t expect that a coffee outing would turn out to be so fruitful.
She looked at the photo of Yolanda chasing after Christopher Coldson on her phone, a smirk erging on her face.
It had been a month since Yolanda left Baruy.
Sophie Taylor and Roman Rogers, among others, were very happy to see her back, peppering her with questions.
"Left hand painting?" Sophie was astonished, "Yolanda, you’re truly amazing."
Yolanda sighed softly, "Necessity made ."
Roman Rogers clicked his tongue twice, "Even if life crushed , I couldn’t do it."
Sophie imdiately nodded, "I second that."
After chatting with them for a while, Yolanda went to the CEO’s office and t with Ken.
Ken vividly rembered Yolanda’s performance at Baruy’s annual grand show, "Welco back."
"Thank you." Yolanda didn’t expect it to go so smoothly.
"How about starting as a manager?" Ken seed to have been waiting for this day, "The position of Jenny Reyes, Manager Reyes, is yours."
"Really?" This was an unexpected gain, and Yolanda thanked him profusely.
Sophie and the others were also happy for her. Yolanda was their new boss, finally freeing them from being bossed around by lissa.
Later that evening, they called Jenny out to celebrate properly.
When it was ti to part, Jenny handed Yolanda an invitation, "I’m getting married."
"Congratulations, Sister Reyes!" Yolanda opened the invitation and saw the groom’s na was Ryan Sterling, "Is it Dr. Sterling?"
Jenny nodded, "Be sure to co."
"Absolutely." Yolanda knew, Jenny considered her a friend. Jenny had only invited her from this group; she certainly had to attend.
That night, Yolanda and Lola greatly marveled together.
"I really didn’t expect it; they t through matchmaking. It seems Sister Reyes is really happy."
She noticed Lola was silent, and proactively asked, "What about you? When are you planning to have your happy event with your significant other?"
"Not planning any ti soon." Lola’s voice was muffled, seemingly in a bad mood.
"What’s wrong?" Yolanda pulled her closer, "Did you have a fight with your boyfriend?"
"No." Lola pulled a smile, embraced Yolanda, "I’m not getting married ever; I’ll just stick with you, and we’ll stay away from those heartless creatures for life."
Yolanda laughed, "Okay, but rember, you said it. Whoever gets married first is a little dog."
Lola lowered her eyelids. Christopher Coldson would never marry her, and after being a mistress, how could she have the face to get married?
At the entrance to the hospital, Cooper Coldson was seeing lissa off, "Go ahead."
"Cooper," lissa hesitated, wanting to say more, "Can you walk a little more, please?"
Cooper nodded.
They slowly strolled through the small garden at the hospital.
"Cooper," lissa suddenly asked, "Why doesn’t Uncle get married?"
"I don’t know." Cooper wasn’t interested.
lissa hesitated for a mont, "Could it be that Uncle likes a woman who is already married to soone else?"
Cooper frowned, "Why think about this stuff?"
"I just..." lissa handed her phone with the photo to Cooper, "Cooper, Uncle and Yolanda... they seem very close."
Cooper’s face darkened. He recalled what Christopher Coldson had said that Yolanda’s youth was just a few years, suggesting Cooper hurry up and divorce her.
Could Uncle have feelings for Yolanda?
Cooper felt disgusted, yet the photo seed to show Yolanda clinging to Uncle.
Why would this woman insist on entangling with the Coldson Family?
"Cooper," lissa added fuel to the fire, "Maybe they are nothing, and I’m just being too sensitive. I just feel... Uncle has always been quite nice to Yolanda..."
"Enough!" Cooper cut off lissa.
