The Coldson Group’s charity gala had always been a highlight among Gray City’s circle of the wealthy, and almost every year, it would raise hundreds of millions for charitable causes.

This year’s gala the was "The Sound of Blooming Flowers," aid at raising funds for impoverished girls to build schools and buy books.

The goal was to let every girl receive compulsory education, to hear the sound of flowers blooming, and to chase the light in their hearts.

The gala was set on the top floor of the Empire Grand Hotel, attended by the most powerful and privileged of the circle.

Old Master Coldson wasn’t originally supposed to attend, but he insisted on going to protect his Little Yolanda.

Thus, except for Noah Coldson, who was still abroad, the entire Coldson Family made an appearance.

Yolanda Greenwood noticed that Christopher Coldson had brought a female companion, though it was neither Randy Carter nor anyone of significance.

As they exited the car, their arrival caused quite a stir.

Old Master Coldson was in a wheelchair today, and had specifically asked Yolanda Greenwood to stay close by, clearly intending to support her.

"Wait a minute," Isabella Ross suddenly called out at the hotel entrance, "soone else is coming, they’ll be here soon."

Christopher Coldson chuckled, "Don’t tell , the big nephew is back?"

He couldn’t think of anyone else who would make the Coldson Family wait other than Noah Coldson.

But it was clear that it couldn’t be Noah Coldson.

Just then, Yolanda Greenwood saw lissa Greenwood approaching from not too far away, and sure enough, Isabella Ross gestured to her.

"lissa, over here."

"Yo, sister-in-law, what’s all this about?" Christopher glanced between Cooper Coldson and Yolanda Greenwood, then turned to Isabella Ross, "Planning to take lissa Greenwood in as the Coldson Family’s adopted daughter?"

lissa Greenwood had arrived just in ti to hear this remark, imdiately pulling an awkward smile.

"If you keep quiet, no one will take you for mute."

Isabella Ross glared at Christopher Coldson, then turned to look at Old Master Coldson, who looked displeased.

"Dad, lissa’s mother is sick, and she wanted to donate so money, so I let her co with us."

"When a mother is sick, you’re supposed to be at the hospital," Old Master Coldson huffed, "Yolanda, let’s go."

Christopher Coldson, with his companion in tow, followed suit, sharing jokes with Yolanda Greenwood.

lissa Greenwood timidly glanced at Cooper Coldson, only to see him walk away without a word.

"Aunt Ross, should I not have co?"

lissa Greenwood let out a bitter smile.

"Let’s go inside."

Isabella Ross was unimpressed by lissa Greenwood’s strategic retreat and led the way.

lissa Greenwood gritted her teeth and followed, "Cooper seems upset now; later, will he listen to your arrangents?"

Isabella Ross retorted with a question, "Are you prepared?"

"Yes," lissa nodded.

"Then just wait with ease."

As soon as the Coldson Family appeared at the venue, a variety of people imdiately ca forward to greet them.

"Old Master, didn’t expect to see you here. It really is rare, how’s your health?"

"Good as ever," Old Master Coldson patted Yolanda Greenwood’s hand, "Thanks to my granddaughter-in-law’s excellent care."

All eyes imdiately turned their way.

Yolanda Greenwood smiled wryly, lowering her head.

Although the scandal from years past had long since settled, as an unprecedented event in the history of Gray City’s wealthy, it was hard for people to forget.

Isabella Ross led Cooper Coldson and lissa Greenwood in as well.

Their arrival made the crowd’s expressions even more intriguing.

After the pleasantries, the Coldson Family went to a private room to rest, waiting for the gala dinner to start.

Isabella Ross called Cooper Coldson and lissa Greenwood out separately.

"The two of you will do the opening dance later."

"Mom!" Cooper clearly felt it was inappropriate.

In front of lissa Greenwood, Isabella Ross asked, "Little Cooper, Mom just wants to ask you one question—are you going to marry lissa?"

lissa Greenwood looked pitifully at Cooper Coldson.

Cooper Coldson frowned for a mont, "Of course."

"Then don’t drag your feet. How much longer do you plan to hang around with Yolanda Greenwood?"

Isabella Ross’s face turned cold, "Since you’ve decided to marry lissa, today is a good opportunity to let everyone ntally prepare."

"But Grandpa..." Cooper Coldson clearly was still reluctant.

"Grandpa is not a child. Taking care of your own business is the best way to show him respect."

Isabella Ross showed her tyrannical side and, without waiting for Cooper Coldson to speak again, turned and left.

"Cooper..." lissa Greenwood hesitated before speaking and carefully reached to pull on Cooper Coldson’s sleeve.

Cooper Coldson avoided her, his gaze turning faintly angry.

"Cooper, it was really your mother who approached this ti, not scheming."

lissa almost burst into tears, "If you’re unwilling, I’ll go and talk to your mother again."

"No need." Cooper Coldson said coldly, "It doesn’t matter who I dance with."

Soon, the auspicious ti arrived.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, the host invited Isabella Ross to take the stage as the chairwoman of the Coldson Group Charity Foundation.

"Hello, everyone, I am..." Her grand opening had the audience clapping enthusiastically.

Isabella Ross quickly got to the point, "Next, I would like to invite the head of the Coldson Family, my son Cooper Coldson, to choose his dance partner and present the opening dance to everyone."

The atmosphere of the venue instantly reached a climax, with non-stop applause and cheers.

Old Master Coldson pulled Yolanda Greenwood from behind his wheelchair, giving her an encouraging wink.

Yolanda Greenwood shyly cast her eyes downward.

She had never danced with Cooper Coldson since they had t.

For today, Old Master Coldson had practiced with her several tis—she hoped...

After a mont of silence, the venue once again erupted with applause.

Yolanda Greenwood looked up to see Cooper Coldson leading lissa Greenwood towards the center of the stage.

They danced with such harmony and beauty, as if they had prepared for this mont countless days and nights.

Folks occasionally looked at Yolanda Greenwood with either sympathy or disdain.

Yolanda Greenwood quickly lowered her head, her fists clenched tightly at her sides.

She hadn’t expected Cooper Coldson to humiliate her like this.

"Yolanda?" Old Master Coldson’s hoarse voice sounded, he looked apologetically at Yolanda Greenwood.

"Grandpa!" Yolanda Greenwood forced a smile.

Old Master Coldson really couldn’t bear to watch any longer, "Yolanda, would you take Grandpa to rest?"

"Sure." Yolanda Greenwood didn’t glance again at the couple on the dance floor and led Old Master Coldson away from the crowd.

Cooper Coldson had obviously seen them, his grip on lissa Greenwood’s hand suddenly tightened.

"Ouch!" lissa Greenwood gasped in pain, "Cooper, you’re hurting ."

Yolanda Greenwood took Old Master Coldson to the resting room. When she stood up to leave,

"Yolanda," the old man called her, "If you’re not going far away, stay here with Grandpa. Don’t go looking at those unpleasant things."

Yolanda Greenwood shook her head. It’s them who should be ashad.

It was Cooper Coldson and lissa Greenwood who ignored the existence of her, the legitimate Mrs. Coldson. Why should she hide?

"It’s fine. Grandpa, call anyti if you need anything."

"You go." Old Master Coldson heaved a deep sigh, "It’s Grandpa who has wronged you. I’m fine, I just don’t want to see that scoundrel anymore."

Yolanda Greenwood returned to the venue once more. The dance wasn’t over yet, everyone was surrounding them.

She turned to go to the restroom; when she ca out at the sink, she encountered soone familiar.
