"Miss Greenwood, you’re here to see your Eldest Aunt again?"

The nurse’s look towards Yolanda Greenwood clearly held so unease.

Yolanda nodded and then let out a bitter laugh, "But I probably won’t be coming anymore."

"Why?" The young nurse’s eyes widened.

Yolanda shook her head, preferring not to elaborate, "It’s nothing, just... please keep taking good care of things here, Nurse."

"..." The young nurse looked at Yolanda, her expression one of soone wanting to say more yet holding back.

Lately, she had been losing sleep over the affairs between Gemma Morgan and Yolanda.

Intuitively, she felt there was a likeness between them, not just in appearance but also in temperant—surely, their relationship was more than just niece and aunt.

So, she had done sothing behind everyone’s back and secretly arranged for a DNA test between the two.

She had just received the results today, and as expected, they were mother and daughter.

Now, the nurse was even more troubled. Clearly, neither of them knew about this, nor did she know what exactly had happened between the two families. If she were to rashly reveal this, could it destroy both families?

The nurse had called Yolanda over because she wanted to test the waters and then decide whether or not to speak out.

But Yolanda’s earlier words made her hesitate even more.

"Nurse, did you have sothing else to say?" Yolanda asked with a puzzled look.

"No, no," the nurse laughed it off, deciding to observe a while longer before making a decision.

She sent Yolanda off with a smile and reminded her to take good care of herself.

Yolanda didn’t head straight back to the Coldson Family. She guessed that lissa Greenwood would certainly stay for dinner at the Coldson ho before leaving, so she casually strolled around outside instead.

Cooper Coldson finished his day exceptionally early, but when he arrived at the old residence, he found lissa there again.

"Cooper," lissa cautiously observed Cooper’s expression, "you’re back."

Cooper’s forehead knitted slightly. For so reason, he no longer liked lissa having too much interaction with the Coldson Family.

He noticed that dinner was being prepared but didn’t see Yolanda’s figure anywhere.

"Little Cooper is back!" Isabella Ross ca out smiling, "Quick, go upstairs and change your clothes. Dinner is ready."

She noticed lissa’s expression and took her hand, "lissa dear, you’re so thoughtful, coming specially to see Grandpa and bringing so many gifts."

Hearing that lissa was here for Grandpa, Cooper’s countenance grew even darker.

"Aunt Ross," lissa quickly reacted, "I have so things to take care of, so I won’t be staying for dinner."

Secretly, she hoped Cooper would ask her to stay.

However, Cooper indifferently said, "That’s fine, I will take you ho now."

"Little Cooper!" As a woman herself, Isabella Ross could not help but understand lissa’s tactics and felt sowhat frustrated by her son’s lack of subtlety.

Cooper had already turned to leave.

"Aunt, I’ll co visit again when I have ti." lissa quickly said her goodbyes to Isabella and hurried after Cooper.

After getting in the car, Cooper didn’t say a word, and the atmosphere was tense.

"Cooper," lissa spoke cautiously, "are you angry?"

Cooper implicitly acknowledged.

"Cooper, I only ca here hoping to make Grandpa like , accept , after all, I am the one marrying you..."

lissa looked aggrieved, "I just want to be a good granddaughter-in-law, is that wrong?"

Cooper parked the car by the roadside, "My grandfather is a very stubborn man. Once he’s set his mind on sothing, no one can change it."

He turned to look at lissa, "You don’t need to bother with this anymore."

lissa imdiately burst into tears.

"What should I do? Cooper, what should I do?"

"After my mother finds out I can’t have children, she certainly won’t like ."

"Your Grandpa doesn’t like either. If I marry into the Coldson Family, I’ll probably have a worse ti than Yolanda."

Cooper frowned, a thought flashing through his mind: he could find a more suitable family for lissa.

lissa Greenwood didn’t give him a chance to speak.

"No man would sincerely want to be with a woman who can’t bear children, besides you who were willing to marry ."

Tearfully, she clutched Cooper Coldson’s arm, "Cooper, you’re all I have left."

"Alright, don’t cry." Cooper finally couldn’t bear it, "I didn’t say anything, you just need to wait peacefully, don’t waste your efforts on unnecessary things."

lissa wisely nodded her head.

She knew this matter was Cooper’s weak spot and her lifeline.

"Cooper, I’m hungry." lissa wiped away her tears and looked at Cooper with a pleading gaze.

"Okay, let’s go eat." Cooper exhaled a barely perceptible sigh and drove lissa to dinner.

Actually, it didn’t really matter who he dined with, but today, he just felt particularly irritable.

Yolanda Greenwood guessed it was past dinner ti, so she returned to the ancestral ho, sure enough, lissa wasn’t there.

Isabella Ross saw her return and deliberately raised her voice, "Why are you only just getting back? Little Cooper took lissa out to eat. Have you eaten?"

"Yup." Yolanda felt a heaviness in her chest and headed upstairs with her head down.

She got ready for bed early, said goodnight to her grandfather, and then lay down.

Cooper returned with lissa after dinner and first went to see Old Master Coldson.

"Did you dine out with another woman?"

Old Master Coldson started with an accusation.

"Yes." Cooper carefully covered Old Master Coldson with a blanket, "Grandpa, you should rest early."

"Do you even have a conscience?" Old Master Coldson sat up angrily.

Helplessly, Cooper replied, "Grandpa, please, don’t make a fuss, go to sleep."

"Has Yolanda done anything to wrong you in the year and more she’s been married to you?"

Old Master Coldson was relentless.

Cooper didn’t speak.

"I’m telling you, your wife’s been feeling down today. She didn’t even have dinner, it’s up to you to deal with this."

Old Master Coldson turned over angrily to lie down, "If you’re just waiting for to die quickly, then pretend I didn’t say anything."

"Alright, I understand." Cooper clearly got the ssage, "I’ll go get her so supper from the kitchen."

"Get so?" Old Master Coldson sat up again, "Don’t you have hands? Can’t you make it yourself?"

"Alright, alright, I’ll personally make her a bowl of noodles." Cooper admitted defeat.

Seeing Old Master Coldson finally lie down obediently, Cooper went downstairs to the kitchen.

"What are you doing, Little Cooper?"

Isabella Ross looked on skeptically, her son had never set foot in the kitchen before.

"..." Cooper paused before replying, "I didn’t eat enough and wanted to make so noodles."

Isabella found this baffling, "Call Nanny Bennett to do it."

"No need, Mom, you should also rest early. I can handle it myself."

Cooper was busy in the kitchen for a good while before he finally brought up a bowl of egg noodles.

Entering the bedroom, he saw Yolanda on the bed with her phone.

Their eyes t, each filled with an indescribable awkwardness.

Yolanda’s gaze shifted to the bowl of noodles, and her belly grumbled with hunger.

Of course, she didn’t dare to hope that Young Master Coldson would personally bring her a bowl of noodles; it was just that, in her eyes, Cooper had many odd rules for his conduct.

One of which was, he never ate food in the bedroom.

Cooper felt uncomfortable all over as he set the noodles down, his eyes drifting towards the door.

"Co over and eat."
