Yolanda Greenwood waited in the living room for quite a while, and it wasn’t until nearly nine o’clock that she heard the door open.
Adam Sterling changed his shoes and was startled the mont he turned on the light, "You... why aren’t you asleep yet?"
"Waiting for you. Adam Sterling, we need to have a serious talk." Yolanda opened solemnly.
"There’s nothing to talk about, I’m very tired and need to rest quickly, I have to get up early tomorrow." Adam Sterling was adamant.
Yolanda stood up to follow him, "Is Adrian Sterling really your father?"
"No!"
"Then why does he have photos of you? And so many childhood pictures?"
"I don’t know!" Adam Sterling was completely uncooperative.
Yolanda blocked his room door, not letting him open it, "Adam Sterling, how long are you going to hide this?"
"I don’t know what you’re talking about." Adam Sterling forcefully pushed her aside.
Yolanda refused to give up, "Adam Sterling, avoidance is not the answer, he’s here now, and Cooper Coldson has temporarily settled him, but the person he’s looking for is you, you can’t hide anymore!"
"Since Cooper Coldson can handle it, why are you still coming to ?" Adam Sterling sneered, pushing Yolanda forcefully again, "Yolanda, enough! I don’t want to hear anything about Cooper Coldson or Adrian Sterling! Don’t bother !"
He directly opened the door and went inside, ignoring Yolanda’s knocking.
Yolanda felt a headache but feared waking Little Ella, so she had to temporarily give up.
She sat in the living room for a while and sent a ssage to Cooper Coldson, [Is it convenient to make a call?]
Soon, Cooper Coldson called back.
"Sorry for disturbing you so late." Yolanda spoke with an apologetic tone.
"It’s okay, I wasn’t resting at this ti anyway," Cooper Coldson sat in his living room, "Did you talk to Adam Sterling?"
"No, he is very resistant to this matter and completely refuses to communicate." Yolanda couldn’t help but sigh.
"I see, it’s alright, take your ti." Cooper Coldson didn’t seem to mind, "Don’t worry about Adrian Sterling, I can handle him; he probably just wants so money and won’t bother you for a while."
Yolanda was mildly moved, "Thank you, Cooper Coldson, for always helping ti and again, I really..."
"Yolanda, I’ve told you, no need to be polite with ." Cooper Coldson didn’t want to hear her thanks; he willingly did all this and was happy to help Yolanda in any way he could.
"Cooper Coldson, tell how much you’ve given Adrian Sterling, I’ll repay you." Yolanda still didn’t want to owe too much.
"Yolanda..." Cooper Coldson thought for a mont, respecting Yolanda’s wish, "Alright, after things are settled, you can give it to ; don’t feel any ntal burden."
"Thank you." At the mont, Yolanda didn’t know what else to say besides thank you, "I’ll find a way to resolve this quickly."
The next morning, when Yolanda and Little Ella woke up, Adam Sterling was already gone, leaving breakfast prepared and a note on the table.
—The thermos has hot soy milk, porridge, and buns are in the kitchen, I’m off to the consultation room, Ella, Daddy loves you!
"Has Daddy already gone to work?" Little Ella asked curiously, looking at the note, "What does it say?"
"Yes, Daddy has gone to work." Yolanda picked up the note, "Daddy said there’s porridge and buns in the kitchen, what does Ella want to eat?"
She didn’t translate Adam Sterling’s last words of affection to Little Ella; given the situation, she didn’t want Little Ella to form more attachnts to Adam Sterling.
"I’ll eat buns." Little Ella squinted her eyes, looking in a pretty good mood.
In the following days, Adam Sterling left early and ca ho late almost every day, and if Yolanda didn’t specifically wait for him, she wouldn’t see him at all.
But even when they did et, Adam Sterling completely refused to discuss anything related to Adrian Sterling or to et Adrian Sterling.
Yolanda was deeply troubled; she took Adam Sterling’s hair while he was away to get a DNA test done with Adrian Sterling, and the results confird they were indeed father and son.
On the night the results ca out, Yolanda decided to let Little Ella stay at Cooper Coldson’s house for a while.
"Mom, do I really have to go to Uncle Coldson’s house?" The little one seed to sense sothing.
"Ella, be good, Mom needs to talk seriously with Dad, it might be inconvenient if Ella is around." Yolanda gently kissed her daughter’s forehead and then looked at Cooper Coldson, "Please take care of her these days."
"Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of her." Cooper Coldson seed a bit concerned, "Adam Sterling’s side... do you really not need my help?"
Yolanda shook her head, "If you’re there, he’ll only get angrier; rest assured, he has never physically hurt ."
"That’s good, if you need anything at any ti, you can call ." Cooper Coldson was still worried, "My phone is on 24/7."
"Yes, there won’t be any issues." Yolanda waved goodbye to Little Gabriel and Little Ella.
"Go, Mommy, you can do it!" Little Gabriel couldn’t help but cheer for his mom.
"Good!" Yolanda watched them get into the car, and then she turned to catch a cab ho.
"Uncle Coldson," On the way back to Coldson’s house, Little Ella asked sowhat dejectedly, "Are my mom and dad going to get a divorce?"
Cooper Coldson furrowed his brow, instinctively feeling a little heartache, yet didn’t know how to explain to the child.
"Sister," at this mont, Little Gabriel took the initiative to speak, "He isn’t your dad, he’s a bad guy."
"He’s not a bad guy!" Little Ella puffed her cheeks indignantly, "He... he’s just sick."
"Sick?" Cooper Coldson was a bit puzzled, "Ella, how do you know Dad is sick?"
Little Ella turned her head towards the window, "I just know, he’s just sick, he’s not a bad guy."
Little Gabriel spoke again, "But he’s not your dad either!"
This ti, Little Ella didn’t refute; she bowed her head instead, and gradually her small body shook, then she started crying loudly.
"Ella, don’t cry, don’t cry!" Cooper Coldson hurriedly picked her up onto his knee, helplessly looking at Little Gabriel, "Alright, stop talking now."
"Sister, I’m sorry, please don’t cry." Little Gabriel quickly apologized, "I was wrong, he’s your dad."
"He’s not!" Little Ella cried even louder!
Cooper Coldson and Little Gabriel exchanged glances, could it be that the little girl already knew that Adam Sterling wasn’t her dad?
But afterward, when Cooper Coldson and Little Gabriel asked again, Little Ella refused to say anything.
When Yolanda returned ho, she imdiately texted Adam Sterling, [Co back early today, we need to talk!]
However, it wasn’t until eleven p.m. that Adam Sterling slowly ca back.
Yolanda took out the DNA test report and handed it to Adam Sterling, "Speak, what’s going on?"
Adam Sterling glanced at the report and instantly his face turned very ugly, he glared viciously at Yolanda, "Who allowed you to test this thing?"
