Yolanda wandered around aimlessly, perhaps it was Dr. Sterling’s words, she kept thinking of Cooper Coldson, and each ti it brought more sadness.
She soon wanted to leave, as she couldn’t find any connection here related to Adam Sterling.
This place wasn’t their secret sanctuary.
"Yolanda?" suddenly soone called her.
Yolanda turned around to see one of the people who had just welcod her, but she couldn’t rember his na, "You are..."
"Alex Johnson!" the other person bead and walked over with a hint of regret, "You actually don’t rember ."
"I’m sorry." Yolanda apologized with a smile.
"It’s alright, I never thought I’d see you again." Alex looked at Yolanda intently, "And you look much better now."
Clearly, this person also knew about her past.
Yolanda smiled slightly, "The old was really terrible, wasn’t I?"
"Not at all, you were very strong." Alex was evidently a chatterbox, "Back then, it was the first ti the captain brought soone over, and it was a woman, it scared us all..."
"Captain?" Yolanda was a bit surprised, Coldson was the one who brought her here back then? What was her relationship with Adam Sterling at that ti?
"Yes," Alex scratched his head, "I always thought you would marry our captain, but unexpectedly..."
He looked visibly puzzled, "You ended up with Dr. Sterling."
Yolanda frowned slightly, "Was I really close with Noah Coldson at the ti? What about Adam Sterling?"
"If the captain hadn’t brought you over, you wouldn’t have known Dr. Sterling, right," Alex chuckled awkwardly, "At first, Dr. Sterling didn’t even want to deal with you, it was our captain..."
He realized he was talking too much, "That’s all in the past. Plus, you’re married to Dr. Sterling now, so I’ll stop talking."
Yolanda tugged at the corners of her mouth, looking at Alex’s deanor. Could it be that Coldson had feelings for her back then... but Coldson never expressed it, he was just always there for her, never saying anything else.
"Yolanda!" Adam Sterling’s voice ca echoing.
Both Yolanda and Alex turned to see Adam Sterling approaching quickly.
Adam Sterling, with a swollen lip, looked at Alex with hostility, "What are you doing here?"
"..." Alex was stunned for a mont before explaining, "Yolanda... we’re kind of friends."
Adam Sterling snorted, turning to Yolanda, "He didn’t say anything random, did he?"
Yolanda shook her head, "Just so casual chat."
"Whatever he said, don’t take it to heart, he’s known for speaking nonsense." Adam Sterling was ready to leave, "Let’s go, it’s ti to head back."
"That urgent?" Yolanda pondered, "And what about Noah Coldson?"
Adam Sterling shot her a displeased look, "Why are you looking for Coldson?"
"Ah? Nothing, it’s just that without him today, we wouldn’t have entered this place, shouldn’t we at least say thanks when leaving?" Yolanda could tell Adam Sterling was unhappy again.
"No need." Adam Sterling, without any explanation, grabbed Yolanda’s arm and strode out with her.
"Slow down, slow down." Yolanda had to almost jog to keep up.
Not far behind, Alex heard the commotion and turned to see Noah Coldson, "Captain, why do I feel Brother Sterling is acting strange? Like he’s a different person."
"Don’t talk nonsense." Though Noah Coldson felt the sa way, he thought it best not to speak recklessly.
He thought perhaps Adam Sterling had truly fallen for Yolanda, hence the change in his deanor.
On the way back, both Adam Sterling and Yolanda were silent, each lost in their own thoughts, neither initiating a conversation.
Once ho, Yolanda suggested, "Adam Sterling, let’s visit other places tomorrow..."
She paused, adding, "Just places for the two of us, how about it?"
"Yolanda..." Adam Sterling had made up his mind, since he couldn’t stop Yolanda from regaining her mories, he might as well shorten the process; once Yolanda recovered her mories, he would have countless reasons to explain his lies, but Cooper Coldson... he would only beco the person Yolanda despises the most.
He looked at Yolanda affectionately, "Yolanda, after you jumped into the sea, we left Gray City, and it was only after leaving that we fell in love, so there are no places here belonging to just the two of us."
"I see." Yolanda was clearly disappointed because, since setting foot on this land, she felt a bond as if she was deeply connected to this place, was it her imagination?
Currently, Adam Sterling and Little Ella were the most important people to her, but there were no mories of her and Adam Sterling here, which surprised her.
"Yolanda, contact Cooper Coldson." Adam Sterling spoke again, "If you want to retrieve your mories in Gray City, I think he’s the right person."
Yolanda was more surprised, widening her eyes at Adam Sterling.
"Of course, maybe he won’t help, who knows? He’s probably the last person who wants you to regain your mory." Adam Sterling sneered, "Anyway, give it a try."
"Alright, thank you, Adam Sterling, thank you for supporting ." Yolanda was very sincere.
"Silly girl, one day you’ll realize that everything I’ve done is for you." Adam Sterling spoke with deep emotion.
That evening, Yolanda called Cooper Coldson, and recalling Adam Sterling’s words during the day, her tone involuntarily turned cold.
"Mr. Coldson, I have sothing I’d like to ask for your help with."
"Go ahead, as long as it’s within my ability." Cooper Coldson replied without hesitation.
"I want to recover my lost mories," Yolanda paused, but seeing Cooper Coldson not responding, she continued, "If it’s convenient, could you take to places we used to visit?"
"Huh?" Cooper Coldson was obviously surprised, "Tomorrow?"
Yolanda nodded, speaking into the phone, "Yes, tomorrow, is that possible?"
She was becoming increasingly curious about what had happened between herself and Cooper Coldson.
But unexpectedly, Cooper Coldson refused, "Tomorrow won’t do, my schedule is full, I really apologize."
Yolanda furrowed her brows, detecting Cooper Coldson’s reluctance.
Her expression turned colder, recalling Adam Sterling’s claim that Cooper Coldson forced her to jump into the sea; she couldn’t hold back, "Cooper Coldson, whether you want to help or not, I will definitely regain my mory."
With that, she hung up before Cooper Coldson could say another word.
Listening to the beeping in his ear, Cooper Coldson sighed helplessly, knowing how excessive he had been, and once Yolanda regained her mory, they might beco enemies again.
Yet, recalling Yolanda’s angry tone just now, he couldn’t help feeling reluctant to let her be this way.
He’s already made enough mistakes, should he continue down this path?
"Daddy?" Little Gabriel’s voice suddenly sounded, "Was that call from Mommy? What did she say? Why do you look so upset?"
