Half an hour later, Richard Reyes parked the car downstairs at Yolanda Greenwood’s apartnt complex and tentatively asked, "President Coldson, should I go up with you?"
"No need, I can go up by myself. You head back first," Cooper Coldson went up alone.
Yolanda and Little Ella were at ho. Little Ella was sleeping, and Yolanda opened the door to see Cooper, subconsciously furrowing her brows, "Why are you here?"
"Don’t misunderstand." Cooper was afraid of being turned away, "Today, I’m here as the president of Coldson Group to apologize to you and Ella."
Yolanda was shocked and widened her eyes.
Cooper continued, "I know about the incident at Children’s Wear Group. I’m truly sorry, I’ve already dismissed the personnel involved."
"Co in and talk." Yolanda gathered herself and invited him inside the house, "Sit down, would you like sothing to drink?"
"No need to trouble yourself, I’m not thirsty." Cooper was clearly a bit uneasy, "Is Adam Sterling not here?"
"Um, he went out." Still, Yolanda poured Cooper a glass of water and sat across from him. She hadn’t expected Cooper to co; was there a misunderstanding regarding what Daisy Dawson said yesterday?
Cooper pulled at the corner of his mouth, not daring to look Yolanda in the eyes, tentatively asking, "How do you want to handle this matter? Do you know who’s involved?"
"I think there’s a Vice President involved, a subordinate called Isaac King." Yolanda shared what she knew, "I don’t intend anything drastic, just not to let it slide and aid the wrong."
Cooper understood. Yolanda didn’t know the instigator was Caleb Sullivan; otherwise, she would be caught between Lola Gold and Caleb Sullivan, surely feeling troubled.
He thought for a mont and continued, "Those involved will definitely be dismissed by Coldson Group. Either today or tomorrow, soone from Children’s Wear Group will surely co. At that ti, you can directly tell them what you need, including compensation or anything else."
Afraid Yolanda might feel shy, he emphasized again, "This matter is entirely our fault, and it was outrageous. I hope you won’t hold back and give them a harsh lesson."
"But... you already knew about this, didn’t you? Why co over suddenly today?" Yolanda finally voiced her doubts, "Did soone say sothing to you again?"
Cooper didn’t want Yolanda to misunderstand, so he imdiately explained, "Actually, I only found out today. I ca over as soon as I learned."
Yolanda gazed at him with suspicion.
Cooper promptly promised, "Yolanda, even if there’s no chance for us to be together again, as long as it’s your and Ella’s matters, I’ll never ignore them, I guarantee."
Yolanda lightly laughed and shifted her gaze, "What matters could I have? Honestly, we can handle things on our own."
Thinking of sothing, she looked curiously at Cooper, "I want to ask, if you didn’t get involved, how would Coldson handle this matter?"
Cooper was silent for a while before answering decisively, "Coldson won’t shield anyone."
A glimr appeared in Yolanda’s eyes, touching her heart slightly. At this mont, she felt as if she had found soone who thinks alike.
"Ella is probably waking up soon, would you like to go see her?" she offered.
"Alright." Cooper imdiately stood up, "Thank you."
Yolanda felt a bit embarrassed instantly, thinking of her indifference last night, she apologized softly, "The ssage you sent last night..."
"It’s alright." Cooper now understood that Yolanda ignored him because she was angry. Strangely, he felt a bit happy, as if he finally could affect her emotions, feeling a bit cared for.
He said cheerfully, "Really, it’s nothing. This was also my oversight. I’ll handle it well, and it won’t happen again."
Yolanda looked over unexpectedly, this man... he really seed to attract her.
anwhile, after her call was hung up, Elsie Adams quickly guessed it must be about Ella and Cooper finding out.
"It must be Yolanda; she definitely went to Cooper herself, that bitch." She cursed while angrily packing up her things, leaving the company and heading directly to the Coldson Family’s old mansion.
Isabella Ross was a bit surprised to see her coming, "Shouldn’t you be working at Coldson Group at this ti? Why are you here?"
"Aunt Ross, please help ," Elsie started crying instantly, "Aunt Ross, I’ve been fired."
"What?" Isabella was shocked, imdiately thinking Elsie was as dumb as a pig, "What have you done? Didn’t I remind you to work well and cherish this opportunity?"
"Aunt Ross, it’s not my fault. It’s all Yolanda’s doing; she’s trying to find a chance to cling to Cooper, and I couldn’t stand it..." Elsie stamred out the story to Isabella, "Aunt Ross, I know Ella is your granddaughter. I didn’t plan on ignoring it, I intended to go myself to find Vice President Sullivan..."
Isabella couldn’t help interrupting, "Vice President Sullivan? Are you saying this Vice President Sullivan is Cooper’s relative?"
"Yes, that’s what everyone at the company says. Aunt Ross, don’t you know him?" Elsie wiped her tears, sensing there might be more to this.
Isabella frowned and turned to call Richard Reyes.
Soon, she learned that the so-called Coldson’s relative, Caleb Sullivan, was actually Lola Gold’s husband.
She laughed sarcastically, "Well, that’s just great."
Clearly, Caleb dared to co because he saw Yolanda and Cooper’s relationship, even possibly Yolanda had instructed Caleb to find Cooper.
This Yolanda really speaks one way and acts another, saying she doesn’t want to be involved with Cooper yet unable to resist trying to gain from the Coldson Family. This is utterly detestable.
"Aunt Ross, what about this Vice President Sullivan..." Elsie tried to probe for information.
"It’s nothing." Isabella looked at her helplessly, "You, compared to lissa Greenwood, are far behind. These little tricks, once you do them, shouldn’t leave traces. Now that you’re fired, I can’t help you."
"Aunt Ross, this ti I was careless. Please help once more, next ti I’ll make sure there’s no trace." Elsie feared losing Isabella as a supporter the most.
Isabella sighed gently, "Alright, head back now. It’s impossible to return to Coldson, but I’ll think of sothing."
"Okay, Aunt Ross, please help . I’ll head back first." No matter how unwilling Elsie felt, she knew she’d caused trouble this ti, and she could only leave obediently.
anwhile, Caleb Sullivan, who was also fired, imdiately ran to Coldson Group’s building but didn’t encounter Cooper, only finding Richard Reyes.
"Where’s President Coldson?" Spotting Richard, Caleb still carried a proud deanor.
Richard looked sympathetically at the guy, certain Caleb didn’t know the relationship between Ella and Cooper; otherwise, he wouldn’t have done such a foolish thing.
Yet knowing the relationship between Lola Gold and Yolanda, he still acted like this, proving the person was both foolish and vicious, deserving no pity at all.
Richard strode forward, "If I were you, I’d just disappear obediently."
