"Sure, when our Ella grows up, she can beco a star!" Yolanda lovingly patted the little one’s head.
"Huh?" Little Ella looked slightly disappointed and turned to ask Little Gabriel beside her, "Brother, when can I grow up?"
Little Gabriel thought about it very seriously, "In ten days."
"In ten days?" Little Ella’s eyes lit up, and she eagerly looked at Yolanda, "Mom, can I really grow up in ten days?"
"Yes, our Ella can grow up in ten days." Yolanda replied with a helpless smile.
Little Ella imdiately boasted to Cooper Coldson in front of her, "Uncle, did you hear? I can grow up in ten days, and then I can beco a star."
"Really? Then I’ll congratulate Ella in advance! When the ti cos, you’re welco to co to Uncle’s company to beco a star, okay?" Cooper Coldson replied with a smile, but he clearly sensed that Yolanda didn’t want Little Ella to beco a star.
The four of them chatted and laughed all the way and soon arrived at the amusent park.
This is the largest amusent park in Gray City, capable of accommodating thousands of people simultaneously. It offers a variety of attractions and is bustling every day.
But as they got out of the car, Yolanda found that the amusent park seed quite empty today. Were they so lucky?
She rushed to buy tickets, only to find that Cooper Coldson had already bought them, and they were VIP mber tickets, free for a lifeti, with exclusive access to every ride.
"Mr. Coldson, I can’t let you spend so much." Yolanda felt very embarrassed, "How much are these tickets? I’ll transfer the money to you now."
"No need, it didn’t cost anything." Cooper Coldson smiled, "Actually, this amusent park is also an asset of Coldson Group. You don’t have to be so formal with , Ella’s mom."
Though he didn’t say that acquiring this amusent park was a decision made just yesterday, so their family could enjoy themselves today.
"Aunt Greenwood, let’s go quickly." Little Gabriel held Cooper Coldson’s hand with one hand and Yolanda’s with the other, looking a bit anxious.
"Right, Mom, let’s go in quickly. I want to ride the carousel." Little Ella was also a bit impatient.
"Alright." Yolanda forced a smile and then said to Cooper Coldson, "Thank you, but once we’re inside, all the food, drinks, and lunch are on ."
Cooper Coldson looked at the person in front of him, who was eager to keep a distance from him, feeling a pang of bitterness, and reluctantly smiled, "Alright, as you say."
Soon, Yolanda was pulled forward by the two little ones.
"Slow down, slow down." Yolanda reminded with a smile, "Don’t fall."
Once inside the amusent park, the two little ones beca even more excited, completely letting go of Cooper Coldson and Yolanda’s hands, wandering around eagerly. Fortunately, the park wasn’t crowded, so Yolanda could easily keep an eye on them.
She and Cooper Coldson followed behind, all her attention on the two kids.
However, Cooper Coldson’s gaze occasionally fell on the woman beside her. He walked slightly behind her side, a position usually reserved for Assistant Reyes.
This position symbolized being ready and willing to protect, belonging to a subordinate.
From this position, he could unabashedly gaze at Yolanda, letting his longing overflow. Three years without seeing her had felt like a century to him. Yet, upon eting again, it seed as though a century still separated them.
When the two kids went to find a clown to make balloon animals, Cooper Coldson finally spoke, "I heard you returned to Gray City with the kids alone?"
"Yes, my husband is abroad, he’s quite busy with work." Yolanda kept her eyes on the kids, "But it’s just for a few days; he’ll co back to join us soon."
Reunion, that word felt like a dagger, piercing deep into Cooper Coldson’s heart, making him gasp in pain.
"What kind of person is your husband? Is he... good to you?"
Only then did Yolanda co back to her senses and rember the man beside her was her forr husband.
She continued watching the kids, and when she answered again, it was with intention, "My husband is outstanding, gentle, and considerate. He is the greatest support for both and the kids. He’s really good to ; marrying him has been my greatest fortune in life."
Cooper Coldson’s head buzzed, each word from Yolanda felt like a knife, a deadly knife.
He looked at Yolanda’s profile and murmured, "Yolanda..."
"Mr. Coldson," Yolanda turned with a stern look, reminding him, "or Gabriel’s dad. I hope that today, we’re out here as guardians of the two kids. We’re not friends, not even acquaintances; you should just call Ella’s mom or Ms. Greenwood."
Cooper Coldson looked at her unfamiliar and indifferent expression, feeling his whole being faltering. But he had no choice, so he said, "Alright, I’m sorry, I was presumptuous earlier."
Yolanda refocused her attention on the kids.
At lunch, Yolanda found a spot for them to sit and carefully asked, "What do you want to eat? I’ll go buy it."
Cooper Coldson stood up, "I’ll go..."
"Mr. Coldson, we agreed on this, are you going back on your word?" Yolanda’s tone had beco sowhat sharp.
"I’m fine with anything." Cooper Coldson sat down, feeling utterly uncomfortable.
Yolanda quickly left to order for everyone. She knew her attitude was excessive, but she had no choice; the warning from Isabella Ross was still ringing in her ears. She had to draw a clear boundary with Cooper Coldson.
"Uncle, are you feeling unwell?" Little Ella looked at Cooper Coldson’s expression and felt a bit troubled.
"No, uncle’s fine, thank you for your concern, Ella." Cooper Coldson smiled and patted the little one’s head.
"That’s good." Little Ella whispered with a cheeky smile, "I thought maybe Mom upset you. She’s not usually like this; she’s a bit strange today."
"Is that so?" Cooper Coldson was a bit surprised. Could it be that Yolanda was behaving this way on purpose? Did soone else talk to her?
He felt a bit puzzled, recalling the things Yolanda had said earlier. Could those also have been deliberate?
At this ti, Yolanda returned with the food, serving Cooper Coldson and Little Gabriel first.
"I’ll go get it." Cooper Coldson stood up again.
"No need, I’ll do it myself." Yolanda went over again, and when she returned, she took a call.
"I brought your daughter to the amusent park," It was obvious that the call was from Ella’s dad, and Yolanda spoke with a smile, "Who told you not to co earlier? We could only sneak out to play without you."
She laughed brightly, "Okay, okay, when you co, we’ll bring you along. It’s a deal."
"Alright, not going to chat more now, we need to eat; we’ll video call tonight. I know, take lots of pictures," Yolanda chuckled, "I’ve taken so too, will send them to you. Work hard and good luck!"
"Daddy, keep it up!" Little Ella turned and shouted towards the phone.
