lissa Greenwood silently watched Gemma Morgan.

Gemma hesitated before speaking, "lissa, do you think there’s a chance that Yolanda isn’t your Uncle’s child?"

Gemma had indeed beco suspicious.

"How could that be possible?" lissa said with a look of disbelief, "Mom, stop making wild guesses. My uncle and aunt have always been unreliable. Besides, Yolanda is always getting into trouble, so it’s sowhat understandable that they don’t treat her well."

"Wait until you beco a mother, then you’ll understand," Gemma sighed softly, "Even if a child makes the biggest mistake, a mother would only think about making ands with her."

"But..." she shook her head again, "Maybe I’m really just overthinking it. Eliana gave birth the sa day as , how could Yolanda not be Eliana’s child?"

lissa’s heart raced up to her throat, but as Gemma did not continue, she quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

The entanglent between her and Yolanda Greenwood must end soon, or else it would easily lead to further complications.

After parting from Jenny Reyes, Yolanda Greenwood returned to the Coldson Family.

"Ma’am?" Jasmine King saw her, elated, "Have you and sir reconciled?"

Yolanda Greenwood gave a wry smile and shook her head, "Has sir returned?"

"Not yet. But these past few days, sir has been staying here." Jasmine noticed Yolanda’s wrist, "Ma’am, you... are injured?"

"It’s nothing." Yolanda sat on the sofa and called Cooper Coldson.

She needed to clarify what exactly Cooper ant by what he said two years ago.

Her sixth sense told herself that she must have been sched against by lissa Greenwood more than once.

There must have been sothing before.

The call was quickly connected.

"When are you coming to handle the paperwork?"

Cooper’s voice ca through devoid of warmth, as if there was nothing left between them but that one matter.

"I’m at ho, co back for a bit."

"What new tricks are you trying to play?"

"If you’re not back in half an hour, I’ll disappear."

Yolanda hung up after speaking.

Sure enough, not even half an hour had passed when Cooper Coldson appeared in the Coldson Family’s living room, standing coldly in front of Yolanda.

He threw the "Divorce Agreent" on the table.

"Sign quickly, we’ll handle the procedures tomorrow."

Yolanda picked up the agreent and started flipping through it page by page.

"Do you know? I had already decided to agree to the divorce. You all just needed to wait patiently one more night, and you would have received this good news."

Cooper sat silently opposite her.

Yolanda saw the part about the division of assets; she was allotted a billion.

"That night, I went to celebrate with Sister Reyes and a bunch of colleagues, not just for my Baruy debut but also to welco a new life free from you..."

Cooper’s eyes darkened a bit.

"But now?"

Yolanda put down the agreent and lifted her gaze to Cooper, "It’s all over."

She lifted her right hand numbly, "The doctor said I’ll never be able to paint again."

Cooper’s expression remained unchanged; when he spoke, his voice was dripping with sarcasm.

"So? You have another reason not to divorce?"

Yolanda barely held back tears, "Cooper, in your eyes, is there nothing but divorce? "

"Besides that, what else is there between us?"

"Yes." Yolanda struggled to keep her tears from falling, "You never care whether I live or die, or what my future will be like!"

Cooper remained silent, watching Yolanda look utterly heartbroken, recalling that he had already heard this news from the doctor that morning.

He scoffed, "Yolanda, would soone like you care about the future?"

"Sobody like ?"

Yolanda stood up.

"In your eyes, Cooper, I am soone who would cut her wrists to keep you, ruin her bright future, and so undeserving to talk about the future, right?"

"You can’t keep !" Cooper adjusted his long legs, crossing them, "All you can keep is that billion."

"Sign it!" He had lost all patience, "If you keep causing trouble, it won’t end well."

"I don’t want the money!"

Yolanda wiped her eyes forcefully.

Cooper pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling a headache, "Yolanda, enough is enough!"

"Two years ago," Yolanda seized the chance to ask, "I just need you to tell , what exactly happened two years ago that you ntioned in the hospital?"

Cooper was astounded.

He didn’t expect Yolanda to be so shaless to repeatedly bring up the incident from two years ago.

And to act as if she was completely unaware.

"Yolanda, do you really take for a fool?"

Ignoring Cooper’s words, she shot back, "How did you know about my wrist-cutting incident two years ago?"

Cooper almost laughed out of anger, "If I didn’t know, would your act have gone to waste?"

Yolanda imdiately understood that her guess was right.

Two years ago, she went out drinking with friends and got drunk; the next morning, she woke up in the hospital.

Eliana Reed told her she had attempted suicide by cutting her wrists and nearly died.

She had no recollection of her own, and could only believe Eliana’s words.

But, throughout that period, she was staying in the hospital and never once saw Cooper.

Yet, Cooper knew.

They told Cooper.

Why?

Yolanda couldn’t figure it out.

"Did they say that I tried to kill myself because we broke up?"

Cooper curled his lips, "Isn’t that what you forced them to say?"

Yolanda was even more confused, "Then why did you still want to break up with ? And since then, you’ve completely cut off contact with ?"

"Yolanda!" Filled with rage, Cooper felt he had been made a fool of.

He stood up, towering over her, "It’s because heaven is watching, and let hear what your mother said."

Yolanda quickly understood, "My mother said I hadn’t attempted suicide but faked it to scare you?"

Cooper’s face was icy.

"Haha..." Yolanda clapped her hands in mock applause; no wonder Cooper had been calling her a manipulator for all these years.

Faking a suicide was such a stunt she could pull off; wasn’t she indeed a manipulator?

She looked at Cooper sympathetically, "This ti, perhaps heaven was watching again, letting you hear sothing similar?"

She laughed until the tears flowed, "Cooper, you and I are the sa, thinking that person was my mother, thinking she would never hurt , but what was the result?"

At this point, Cooper began to sense sothing was wrong as well.

"Cooper, you can check at the hospital. Two years ago, I almost died; this ti, my hand is ruined."

Yolanda’s words were emphatic, "If this is an act, do I need to go this far?"

Cooper took out his phone imdiately and sent a ssage to Richard Reyes.

[I need Yolanda’s hospital records for the past five years.]

A mont of silence fell between them.

Yolanda knew, this ti Cooper would learn the truth that the real manipulator was never her.

She glanced at the "Divorce Agreent" on the table, then looked at Cooper.

"If... if what I’ve said is true, and it’s always been lissa Greenwood and Eliana Reed plotting against , then will you still divorce and marry her?"
