The only non-sale item at Heart Island Design is a heritage necklace, a perfect collision of gold and jewels. Just one glance is enough to captivate anyone.
What moved Richard Reyes even more is that the necklace was nad "Serenity" by the designer. Without needing to guess, Richard knew that if his boss ca, he would surely insist on acquiring this necklace at all costs.
He imdiately approached Sunny Skies, the person in charge of Heart Island Design’s exhibition area, "Hello, I’m very interested in the Serenity necklace from Heart Island Design. Could you sell it to ?"
"I’m really sorry, sir. To be honest, you’re not the first to inquire about that necklace, but we have clearly stated that items marked as non-sale pieces are designer’s personal keepsakes and are not for sale. I apologize for the inconvenience." Sunny nodded slightly to express her apology.
"Price isn’t an issue. I genuinely like this necklace," Richard pleaded, "Miss, could you arrange a eting with the designer for ? I sincerely wish to purchase this necklace, please. I’ll pay whatever it takes."
"Well..." Sunny was a little troubled, but she could see that the gentleman truly loved the Serenity necklace. "How about this: I’ll make a phone call and inquire for you."
"Thank you, thank you very much." Richard expressed his gratitude repeatedly.
Sunny walked to the side and dialed Yolanda Greenwood’s number, "Hello, Designer Greenwood, I’m really sorry to disturb you. A gentleman said he is very fond of the necklace nad Serenity and wishes to et you to request that you sell it to him."
"Sunny, I’m no longer at the venue." Yolanda was worried about Little Ella, and seeing her exhibits being sold indicated the event was a success, so she headed back early.
"Please help thank the gentleman, but I really can’t sell that necklace," she chuckled lightly, "It’s one of the dowries I’ve prepared for my daughter, so no matter the price, it’s not for sale. Help express my gratitude to him for his appreciation."
"I see, Designer Greenwood’s daughter is indeed fortunate, that necklace is practically the star of today’s exhibition," Sunny felt a bit envious, "Alright then, Designer Greenwood, carry on with your work. I’ll convey your gratitude."
She hung up the phone and went back to explain the reason to Richard directly, "The necklace is a dowry prepared by the designer for her daughter, so it’s really not for sale. Plus, Designer Greenwood has already left the venue. I apologize sincerely."
"Alright then." Richard felt sowhat disappointed and left without looking at the other exhibits.
Elsewhere, Cooper Coldson took a cab back to the old house and imdiately saw Isabella Ross and Elsie Adams chatting in the living room.
"Where’s Anan?" he asked anxiously.
"Upstairs," Isabella answered helplessly.
Elsie imdiately stood up respectfully and greeted him, "Mr. Coldson."
"Thank you for today, Teacher Adams. I’ll head upstairs to check on Anan first." Cooper nodded to Elsie and quickly headed upstairs.
"Please sit, Teacher Adams," Isabella smiled warmly and invited her, "By the way, you said your father works in the forestry bureau?"
"Yes, for over ten years now. He should be getting promoted to director either this year or next," Elsie replied with a slight smile.
"That’s a good place. And your mother?" Isabella asked again.
"My mother is a professor at Gray City University. Now that she’s older, she doesn’t teach much anymore and mostly enjoys her retirent at ho by tending to flowers," Elsie answered patiently.
Isabella nodded again, "No wonder Teacher Adams has such an outstanding deanor. You indeed co from a notable family, surely raised with proper manners from a young age."
"Aunt, you’re flattering . I was quite a handful as a child, often causing trouble for my parents. They scolded a lot," Elsie expressed a happy deanor. "But since I’m their only daughter, they took care of wholeheartedly, although..."
She shyly glanced at Isabella, "But I always worry them. Nowadays, they’re always fussing about my marriage, afraid I’ll never get married and they’ll have to take care of forever."
She finished her sentence and covered her mouth with a giggle.
"Teacher Adams is pretty, has a good job, and cos from a good family. It’s unlikely no one is pursuing you. Are your own standards perhaps too high?" Isabella probed further about Elsie’s background and, seeing Elsie’s positive attitude, continued.
Of course, she was hoping to find a stepmother for Little Gabriel, soone who wouldn’t be as wicked and unruly as lissa Greenwood, but instead, soone who could be molded by the Coldson Family.
"Actually, there are quite a few pursuing , but marriage is a lifelong matter. I care about the connection," Elsie’s eyes eagerly looked at Isabella, "There are very few who can truly move my heart."
Isabella ignored the hint and took a sip of tea from the table, "In the end, it’s just that Teacher Adams is too picky. But I believe fate will eventually co."
She then continued to chat with Elsie about kindergarten matters, seemingly not fully satisfied with Elsie.
Elsie felt increasingly anxious.
Upstairs, when Cooper Coldson entered, he saw Little Gabriel hugging sothing, his face stained with tears, looking deeply wronged.
On the way to the jewelry exhibition, Cooper had received a call from the old house, saying that Isabella Ross had gone to the kindergarten today and found Little Gabriel involved in a fight. Fortunately, Elsie Adams had cald him down and urged Cooper to return imdiately.
Cooper quickly approached and, instead of scolding Little Gabriel, gently patted the little one’s head.
"Are you hurt anywhere?" he asked with concern.
Little Gabriel’s large eyes imdiately reddened further, looking even more aggrieved at Cooper.
In fact, Cooper was aware that Little Gabriel had congenital insensitivity to pain, so he wouldn’t be upset due to injury. Also, because he didn’t feel pain, he often didn’t lose fights; rather, it was the other party who suffered...
He sat beside Little Gabriel, "Anan, tell daddy, where do you feel uncomfortable?"
Unexpectedly, Little Gabriel burst into sobs, crying out, "Baby Bunny, sister’s Baby Bunny is dead!"
Only then did Cooper notice that Little Gabriel was clutching the bunny folded by Ella, which had been torn.
"Bad person, I don’t want to go to kindergarten anymore. The bad person killed my Baby Bunny." Little Gabriel cried very sadly, reasoning that since his sister wouldn’t go to kindergarten, he didn’t want to either.
"It’s okay, Baby Bunny isn’t dead," Cooper felt extrely distressed by the child’s cries, "Co, daddy will help you stick it back together, Baby Bunny can still co back to life."
Little Gabriel held back his tears and looked pitifully at Cooper, "Really?"
"Really, and daddy promises," Cooper vowed confidently, "If Baby Bunny can’t co back to life, I’ll ask sister Ella to fold another one for Anan, okay?"
The little one’s eyes brightened imdiately, happily nodding, "Okay."
