"Who? What’s wrong?"
Eliana was startled awake, feeling like she had lost half her soul.
She cursed at Yolanda, "What kind of madness are you on now?"
Yolanda looked indifferent, sowhat terrifying, "Shouldn’t you explain?"
"Explain what?"
Eliana guiltily averted her eyes.
"You drank too much last night, kept saying you didn’t want a divorce, I took you upstairs to rest, and I never expected you to do sothing so foolish."
Almost the sa excuse as years ago.
But at that ti, she truly was heartbroken and went out to drink with classmates... But this ti, she was sober when she was brought back to the Greenwood Family.
"I didn’t drink too much last night."
Yolanda coldly watched Eliana, "I rember clearly, it was you, conspiring with two n to drug ."
"What nonsense are you spouting?" Eliana started shouting again, "I think you’re not awake yet."
Seeing Eliana still adamantly in denial, Yolanda couldn’t be bothered to waste more words.
She cautiously got out of bed, and just as her feet touched the floor, she felt dizzy.
"Where do you think you’re going?" Eliana asked, her face full of suspicion.
"Calling the police!" Yolanda moved step by step towards the door.
If she didn’t take action now, next ti, Eliana might truly try to take her life.
Indeed, Eliana panicked.
She grabbed Yolanda’s arm, "What fit are you throwing? Get back and lie down."
"Let go of !" There was a blade in Yolanda’s gaze.
Eliana shrank back, "You’re calling the police? You have evidence?"
Yolanda slowly lifted her wrist, "This is the evidence. Evidence of attempted murder."
Eliana turned pale.
She dared not admit it, nor could she let Yolanda leave, so she just clung to her desperately.
The struggle between them was inevitable, and Yolanda was pushed to the ground.
Eliana fled in a guilt-induced panic, hurrying to find lissa Greenwood, who was also at the hospital.
"What should I do? That damned girl is going to the police!" She was so frightened she was close to tears.
"Calling the police?" lissa frowned in annoyance, "For what? To say her own mother tried to kill her?"
Eliana nodded rapidly, "What should I do? I really don’t want to go to jail."
"Don’t worry," lissa scoffed, "Who would believe a person who just failed to kill themselves when they say their own mother wants to murder them?"
Eliana gradually ca to her senses, thinking that lissa had a point.
She breathed a sigh of relief, "Okay, let her make a fuss, it’d be best if she just did herself in."
In the hospital room, Yolanda struggled greatly to finally stand.
She moved step by step out of the room, intending on going straight to the police.
But she didn’t get far before her body swayed, and she collapsed, weakened.
Gemma Morgan heard about Yolanda’s suicide attempt from lissa and happened to be going up to see her when she saw her faint.
"Yolanda!" Her heart tightened, and she quickly went to support Yolanda, "Yolanda, wake up!"
But the person was already unconscious.
Gemma imdiately called for doctors and nurses and had her taken back to the room.
"What happened?" she asked anxiously.
The doctor frowned disdainfully, "Too much blood loss, what else? What’s with kids nowadays not valuing their own lives at all."
Gemma noticed that Yolanda indeed looked pale, her lips nearly transparent.
"Doctor, give her a blood transfusion."
"Don’t you as parents know what blood type your child has?"
The doctor clearly mistook Gemma Morgan for Yolanda Greenwood’s mother.
Gemma Morgan pulled apologetically at the corner of her mouth, yet inexplicably she wasn’t in a hurry to explain.
"Do you know what ’panda blood’ is?" the doctor’s attitude beca even more dissatisfied, "This blood type is extrely rare, and recently all the hospitals in the city are in desperate need of it, there’s no blood available for her transfusion."
Gemma Morgan stood there stunned, shocked to find out that Yolanda was of the panda blood type.
"Sister-in-law?" At that mont, Eliana Reed had gone out to grab a bite to eat and slowly made her return, "Why are you standing here?"
Gemma Morgan quickly stepped forward to pull Eliana over, "Doctor, this is the patient’s mother, they should have the sa blood type; use her blood."
Before the doctor could respond, Eliana resisted.
"How is that possible?"
Both the doctor and Gemma Morgan looked at her in surprise.
"What I an is, I haven’t been well recently, I’ve taken quite a few dications, my blood might be problematic."
Gemma Morgan awkwardly tugged at the corner of her mouth again.
"Are you B-type RH negative blood?" asked the doctor directly.
"No," Eliana shook her head.
"I am," Gemma Morgan suddenly spoke up next to them, "Use my blood."
"No way!" Unexpectedly, lissa Greenwood also arrived.
She rushed forward to grab Gemma Morgan’s arm, "Mom, you can’t use yours, aren’t you aware of your own health lately?"
"lissa, saving lives is what matters," Gemma Morgan was very determined, "Doctor, take mine."
"Mom, Yolanda doesn’t take care of herself, why should we suffer because of her?"
lissa’s eyes reddened, "Haven’t we filled in enough holes for her usually? Spending so money is one thing, but now they want your blood, absolutely not."
The doctor, listening in, ford a rough idea of the situation and felt an even stronger dislike for Eliana Reed and Yolanda Greenwood.
He looked at Gemma Morgan and lissa Greenwood, "Don’t worry, the patient isn’t in great danger right now, without a transfusion, she’ll just need to lie down a while longer, she won’t die."
"Then that’s fine, that’s fine," Eliana was the first to say.
lissa gave her a glare.
Sure enough, seeing Eliana’s attitude as the biological mother made Gemma Morgan feel even more sympathetic towards Yolanda.
"It’s okay, use my blood."
Gemma Morgan didn’t let lissa speak any further and left with the doctor.
In the blood donation room, as Gemma Morgan was having her blood drawn, she asked the doctor, "Doctor, I don’t understand much about your genetics, but if the child has panda blood, is it possible that the parents are not?"
After seeing Eliana’s attitude just before, who wouldn’t have so doubts?
The doctor nodded helplessly, "The inheritance of panda blood is quite complicated, it could be inherited from the parents or it could be from the grandparents, so it’s possible for both parents to have RH positive blood."
So that was the case.
Gemma Morgan felt she had been sowhat over-concerned.
When Yolanda Greenwood awoke again, it was the next morning.
The hospital room was empty, Eliana Reed was nowhere to be seen, whether she had gone back or out.
Feeling much better, Yolanda got up and went out.
Approaching the service center, Yolanda slowly said, "Nurse, I would like to use the phone."
"Of course," the nurse pushed the phone over.
Yolanda imdiately dialed 110, "Hello, I want to report an attempted murder."
She told them the hospital address and her room number before hanging up.
When Yolanda returned to her hospital room, she saw Eliana Reed had returned, and breakfast was set on the table.
"Gallivanting around again? Do you want to faint?" Eliana said irritably.
Yolanda lay back down on the bed, closed her eyes, and slowly said, "I’ve already called the police, they’ll be here soon."
Eliana jumped up from her chair in alarm.
"You ungrateful little thing, if it wasn’t for my blood transfusion yesterday, do you think you’d be awake now? Able to walk around?"
