Over the next few days, Yolanda cooperated fully with the treatnt, and her wound healed quite well.
Ivy Hall brought good news that day. "Yolanda, let tell you—this ti, your daughter did much better than you."
"Huh?" Yolanda looked over in confusion. From the ti the baby was born until now, she had only seen photos and videos and hadn’t held her properly.
Ivy Hall chuckled. "Today, the little one can leave the incubator."
"Really?" Lola Gold quickly asked.
At that mont, not just Yolanda but also Noah Coldson, Lola, and others were elated. They had all been looking forward to holding the little one.
Ivy Hall nodded, turning to Yolanda. "If you want, I can bring her here now. Going forward, she can stay with you in the sa room."
In an instant, Yolanda almost cried tears of joy. While wiping her eyes, she nodded frantically.
"Alright, I’ll go get her." Ivy Hall turned to instruct Noah, "Raise the bed up."
Noah imdiately adjusted the bed’s incline. Four pairs of eyes eagerly stared at the door.
"I’ll wait in the hallway." Lola’s impatience made it impossible for her to stay put, so she opened the door and rushed out.
Yolanda felt her heart racing, overwheld at eting her baby soon. She worried her daughter might not like her.
She asked Noah to bring her a mirror.
Noah looked puzzled. "A mirror? What do you need it for?"
Adam Sterling shook his head helplessly. "You’re such a blockhead."
He got up, grabbed a mirror, and handed it to Yolanda, quipping, "Don’t worry. You look beautiful now. And babies—especially daughters—I guarantee she’ll love you more than anyone else in the world."
Noah finally caught on. Yolanda was worried about not looking good enough. Smiling, he added, "Adam’s right. You’re lovely, and the baby will definitely adore you."
"She’s here! She’s here!" Lola excitedly flung open the door, cheering.
Everyone imdiately turned their gaze to the door.
Soon, Ivy Hall ca in holding a tiny pink Dumpling.
Lola and Noah instantly gathered around to gaze at the baby, staring intently without daring to touch.
"She’s adorable; she looks just like Yolanda when she was little," Lola said happily.
Noah wholeheartedly agreed. "Adorable. Her eyes, her mouth—they’re all like Yolanda’s. Especially that little mouth; this girl will grow up to be a real beauty."
Ivy Hall carefully placed the little one next to Yolanda and smiled at the two observers. "With genes like these, how could the baby not be gorgeous?"
Though Ivy Hall spoke casually, Noah and Lola imdiately thought of Cooper Coldson. They had to admit the baby’s nose resembled his.
"See for yourself," Ivy Hall said to Yolanda with a smile.
As soon as Yolanda saw her baby, her eyes brimd with tears. The baby was so small, with big, curious eyes scanning the room, seemingly unafraid of her surroundings.
Her tiny hands wriggled out of the small blanket, flailing around aimlessly. After a mont of looking around, the big eyes swiftly locked onto Yolanda.
"Yolanda, the baby recognizes you," Lola said in astonishnt.
Yolanda glanced at Ivy Hall, nervously asking, "Can I touch her little hand?"
Ivy Hall chuckled. "Of course. Don’t worry; the baby is doing just fine. If you were fully recovered, you’d be able to hold her."
Even Ivy Hall’s eyes turned red, witnessing the reunion between mother and daughter.
As soone who had seen this process unfold, Ivy Hall felt imnse happiness—this was the greatest sense of fulfillnt at the Won’s and Children’s Hospital.
With permission, Yolanda imdiately extended a finger to gently touch the baby’s hand. To her surprise, the baby grasped her finger tightly and even squinted her eyes while smiling—it was an expression full of joy.
"She’s smiling! Look, she’s smiling," Lola shouted excitedly. Overco with emotion, she hid behind Adam and began sobbing. "What’s wrong with ? This is such a good thing, but I just keep wanting to cry. I’m so hopeless."
Adam understood. Pregnancy hormones were likely playing a role, but at this mont, even he couldn’t hold back his feelings. anwhile, the stoic soldier nearby already had reddened eyes.
He said earnestly, "Crying is another way of expressing happiness. If you feel like crying, then cry."
"Really?" Hearing Dr. Sterling’s words, Lola instantly let it all out. Leaning on Adam’s arm, she wailed openly, "Waaah, this baby is so cute. From now on, I’ll have two people I love the most—the baby and Yolanda. Waaah, she even smiled at Yolanda..."
The room fell silent, filled only with Lola’s cries.
Her sobbing grew louder. "Yolanda has a baby now, too. The baby will always love her—so much love. This is so wonderful, so, so wonderful... Waaah! Soone help ; I can’t stop crying."
Ivy Hall sniffled and prepared to leave. "Alright, you all celebrate on your own. I’ll head out for now. Call if you need anything."
Yolanda’s gaze never left her daughter, and her daughter never stopped looking back at her. Their eyes locked in a way that seed like they’d waited for this mont forever.
Once Lola cald down a little, she spoke in a tearful tone. "I heard all babies live in the sky, choosing their mothers personally..."
She reached out gently to touch the baby’s cheek. "I wonder how long this little girl waited for our Yolanda. Look at how happy she is."
"Really? Did you wait a long ti for Mommy?" Yolanda playfully shook the baby’s tiny hand. "Thank you for choosing as your mom. I promise to protect you and give you the best of everything."
"By the way, have you decided on nas for the baby?" Adam suddenly asked.
Yolanda nodded. "I have. One will be Gabriel, the other Ella. I hope both children can be safe and sound."
"The boy is Gabriel, and the girl is Ella. Their nicknas will be Gabe and Ella," Lola comnted enthusiastically. "Such good nas—simple and aningful. I love them."
Noah and Adam agreed, saying the nas were lovely. However, when it ca to the surna... all of them tactfully avoided the topic.
Yolanda, however, spoke up without hesitation. "I want to wait until I’ve divorced Cooper Coldson before registering them. I..."
She looked at Noah. "I want the kids to take my last na, Greenwood."
"Sounds great," Noah imdiately agreed. "Sure, Cooper might be their father, but honestly, he’s done nothing for them. It’s your decision what surna they should have."
Lola nodded. "Exactly. Greenwood it is. Even if they were to share Cooper’s last na, it would only be because of you—no one else."
"Greenwood sounds perfect. When the ti cos, I’ll go with you to register them," Noah said casually.
Yolanda let out a sigh of relief, her eyes returning to her daughter. She then thought of her son. "I wonder how Gabriel’s doing. Has he left the incubator yet?"
