Noah Coldson watched Cooper Coldson climb the stairs, sighed deeply, and then also prepared to head to his room to rest.
Just then, Christopher Coldson unexpectedly returned from outside.
"Uncle!" Noah greeted him and got up to et him, thinking about Lola Gold’s unusual behavior today, he felt he should say sothing.
As he approached, Noah realized sothing was off. Christopher looked exhausted, sporting dark circles under his eyes as if he hadn’t slept for several nights.
"Uncle, are you alright?" he asked concernedly, "Didn’t you sleep last night?"
"No," Christopher dragged his feet, seeming utterly tired, "I’m dead tired, I’m going to sleep first, you should rest early too."
After climbing the stairs, he rembered sothing and stopped to say, "By the way, I heard you were promoted to lieutenant colonel, congratulations."
"Thank you, Uncle." Suddenly hearing soone congratulate him, Noah felt a bit happy, "Uncle, you... I saw Lola when I ca back, she seed unwell, you should spend more ti with her when you can."
Christopher paused in his steps upstairs, after a long mont, he replied, "Alright."
Noah frowned slightly, sensing that sothing might be wrong between Christopher and Lola Gold.
After going back to his room and taking a shower, he saw a ssage from Yolanda Greenwood.
"Big brother, thank you so much for today, the dal is beautiful, congratulations Lieutenant Colonel, good night!"
Noah read the ssage several tis before he quickly replied, "Yolanda, good night!"
Even though it was just a simple ssage, Noah felt as sweet as if he had eaten honey, and he fell asleep with a smile on his lips.
The next day, Lola Gold’s morning sickness was still severe, so Yolanda Greenwood accompanied her to the Won’s and Children’s Hospital.
"Dr. Hall, is there anything that can alleviate this?" Yolanda asked, feeling pained, "She can’t eat anything right now."
"Well, I’ll prescribe so dicine, try taking this and see," Ivy Hall suggested further, "If she can’t eat als, try so bananas, apples—stick to a light diet."
"Okay, thank you, Sister Hall." Yolanda took the prescription and indicated that Lola could leave.
Lola didn’t move, hesitating for a while before she spoke, "Doctor, if I want to terminate the pregnancy, when would be a good ti for the surgery?"
Ivy Hall instinctively glanced at Yolanda before she answered Lola’s question, "Under normal circumstances, six to seven weeks is the least harmful to the mother, but it should definitely not exceed within three months."
She frowned slightly, "However, your uterus has probably been damaged before, and if terminated, you may not be able to conceive again."
"I understand, thank you, Doctor." Lola Gold stood up and left with Yolanda Greenwood.
On the way back, neither spoke.
After arriving ho, Yolanda reminded Lola to rember to take her dicine before she left.
She had arranged to et Sunny Coldson at a coffee shop today.
When Yolanda arrived, Sunny was already there.
"Yolanda, is there sothing you wanted to talk about?" Sunny asked with a puzzled expression as soon as they t.
Yolanda’s deanor was frosty, "What do you think, Aunt?"
Sunny frowned, realizing Yolanda was not here with good intentions, and her smile faded, "We don’t seem to have much in common."
"Why would you think that?" Yolanda chuckled lightly, "Aunt and lissa Greenwood are friends, and I am friends with Lola, we can’t possibly have no intersections."
Sunny’s face turned cold, "What exactly do you want?"
"I’m a bit curious, how much did your sister ddle in the affairs between Cooper Coldson, lissa Greenwood, and in the past?"
Sunny Coldson responded coldly, "I don’t understand what you’re talking about."
"I’ve t the fertility expert and know you lied to him, covering up lissa Greenwood’s fertility issues." Yolanda Greenwood was straightforward, her gaze oppressively fixed on Sunny Coldson.
Sunny Coldson shifted her stance, arms crossed, "I didn’t expect you to be a bit smarter than I thought."
"Is this about being smart?" Yolanda found it laughable, changing the topic, "Or do you think Cooper was kept in the dark because he’s stupid?"
Sunny shifted her position again but didn’t answer Yolanda’s question.
Yolanda pressed on, "Or what about if one day Cooper finds out about your sister’s deeds, what do you think she would feel then?"
"Are you threatening ?" Sunny Coldson scoffed, "Aren’t you already with Noah Coldson now? I helped lissa Greenwood and that was helping you, or are you saying... you don’t want a divorce anymore?"
She shook her head, "Do the Coldson brothers know you’re hopping between them?"
"You’re mistaken, I have no intentions of getting back with Cooper Coldson." Yolanda stated firmly, "I ca here today for Lola."
Sunny Coldson narrowed her eyes, waiting for her to continue.
"I know lissa Greenwood too well. Since you’ve helped her, what has she traded with you in return?" Yolanda spoke with conviction, "Does Randy Carter’s matter involve her?"
"Heh heh..." Sunny Coldson laughed and shook her head, "Is Lola Gold the one who sent you?"
"No, she doesn’t even know." Yolanda asked discontentedly, "What are you laughing at?"
"Yolanda, I’m laughing at you." Sunny Coldson clicked her tongue twice, "After everything you’ve been through with Cooper Coldson, don’t you understand?"
Yolanda didn’t quite understand, "Understand what?"
"You ask if Randy Carter’s matter is related to lissa Greenwood, don’t you find that funny?" Sunny Coldson expressed an incredulous look, "If Christopher Coldson hadn’t done anything and had firmly chosen Lola Gold, what could lissa Greenwood possibly do?"
She spread her palms, "Think about it for yourself, is it really lissa Greenwood who has tied Christopher Coldson to this Carter situation?"
"Sister," Yolanda spoke slowly, "you’re even more terrifying than I envisaged."
"What do you an?"
Yolanda stood up but didn’t directly answer her question, instead she smiled, "You’re right, nothing lissa Greenwood has done can change anything."
She had gotten the answer she wanted, and as for what lissa Greenwood did exactly, she preferred not to know.
One thing Yolanda was certain of, Christopher Coldson’s current reaction was definitely the combined work of both lissa Greenwood and Sunny Coldson, and clearly Sunny Coldson understood Christopher Coldson better than Lola Gold.
Yolanda thought back to seeing Christopher Coldson by the Won’s and Children’s Hospital, sothing felt off.
Even if the Coldson Family really cared about the Coldson lineage, the Christopher Coldson she’d seen didn’t seem to fit the mold.
So why exactly was Christopher Coldson so concerned if Randy Carter was pregnant with his child?
Yolanda felt that Sunny Coldson wouldn’t disclose it, maybe... she could ask Old Master Coldson.
Luckily, Dr. Hall ntioned the best ti for an abortion is around six to seven weeks into pregnancy, she still had ti – she needed to investigate this matter thoroughly to avoid Lola Gold having an abortion haphazardly.
When she got ho, Yolanda directly told Lola Gold, "I t with Sunny Coldson today."
"What?" Lola Gold was obviously surprised.
"Randy Carter’s matter, it must be Sunny Coldson and lissa Greenwood’s doing." Yolanda took Lola Gold’s hand, "Lola, there must be more to this."
