After hanging up the phone, Yolanda Greenwood seed utterly distracted.

"What’s wrong?" Cooper Coldson noticed her uneasy expression, "What happened?"

Yolanda glanced at him and shook her head, "It’s nothing."

She didn’t have the ti to worry about the divorce now; after all, she wasn’t the one eager to get married.

"Can we go see Edmund now? I’m returning to the States tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" Cooper furrowed his brows, "So soon? Are Tala pushing you that hard? You’re not even their official employee, there’s no need to let them boss you around with your belly like that."

"It’s not that, there’s sothing else." Yolanda was sowhat irritated, "Just stop asking."

"..." Cooper bit his teeth and self-mockingly muttered, "Right, I’m the one who talks too much, not like I’m the one suffering."

"Can we go or not?" Yolanda was really annoyed.

"Let’s go, let’s go, we’ll leave now." Cooper led the way.

Isabella Ross watched the two leaving together, thinking they were off to get their divorce certificate.

Throughout the ride, Yolanda just stared out the window without a word, looking quite downcast.

"I remind you, Edmund has started a new life now, don’t greet him with a mournful face," Cooper said coldly.

Yolanda ignored him.

Soon, the car entered a luxurious neighborhood and stopped in front of a villa. Cooper got ready to disembark.

"What? Isn’t this a visit to see Edmund? What are you playing at..." Yolanda hadn’t finished speaking when she saw Edmund’s face reflected in the car window, looking puzzled at Cooper.

"Edmund has been adopted; this is his new ho."

"Couldn’t you have said so earlier?" Yolanda got out of the car, at a loss for words.

Cooper, full of resentnt, felt that Yolanda was just looking for reasons to be displeased with him, and angrily stood aside.

"Sister Yolanda, Brother Cooper," Edmund had grown quite a bit and cheerfully greeted them, "You really ca to see ."

A gentle woman followed behind him, smiling, "Hello, I’m Edmund’s mom, you can just call Sister Bennett."

"Sister Bennett, hello, thank you," Yolanda was truly grateful.

"We’re very fond of Edmund and we thank Cooper too," Sister Bennett unexpectedly had adopted Edmund through Cooper, "Now you all catch up; I’ll go fetch so fruits and pastries for you."

Yolanda quietly asked Edmund, "Are you settling in okay here?"

"No," Edmund adorably shook his head, "It’s too big here. At the orphanage, Little Maria and I squeezed into one bed, but here..."

The boy’s eyes brightened, "There’s enough room here for Little Maria, Sister Yolanda, and Brother Cooper all to sleep without any problem."

Yolanda smiled, "Do they treat you well?"

"Very well." Edmund looked back at Cooper, "I’m really thankful for Brother Cooper."

Cooper stood with his hands in his pockets, silent.

Yolanda and Edmund chatted for quite a while, and Edmund truly seed strong. He had promised Little Maria that he would live well, living a life for both of them.

As they were about to part, Edmund looked at Yolanda’s belly and asked, "Sister Yolanda, are you not getting a divorce now?"

"..." Yolanda felt grateful, "How did you know..."

"The director told you were separating," Edmund continued looking at Yolanda’s belly, "but now that you have a child, does that an you won’t be separating?"

Hearing this, Cooper’s expression grew odd and he instinctively looked at Yolanda.

Yolanda imdiately said, "No, Brother Cooper and I are already separated. This child in my belly... has nothing to do with him."

Edmund instantly looked at Cooper with sympathy.

"Let’s go." Cooper looked upset and got in the car first.

Yolanda didn’t intend to continue riding with him, "I’ll just take a cab back."

"Suit yourself." Cooper was in a bad mood and drove off right away.

Yolanda took a cab back and imdiately told Lola Gold that Brooks Parker was dead.

"Could it be that lissa Greenwood did it?" Lola was extrely shocked, "Is that woman really mad, addicted to killing?"

"I don’t know, but it’s quite possible," Yolanda suspected too, sighing softly, "Should I have not suggested that Little May should go back to lissa Greenwood? Then perhaps lissa wouldn’t have had the heart to kill."

"Yolanda, it’s not your fault," Lola quickly consoled her, "lissa Greenwood is too heartless; she’ll face retribution."

Yolanda remained silent; she had indeed considered too little.

At that ti, she just felt that since Brooks Parker was into drugs, he definitely couldn’t keep looking after Little May, even most likely to drag Little May down, and so it seed like a good idea for Little May to stay with lissa and Cooper.

But she hadn’t anticipated that under such circumstances, lissa would still harbor murderous thoughts and kill Brooks.

If it were truly lissa’s doing, she would have to step forward to seek justice for Brooks and Little May.

Just then, Noah Coldson’s call ca through, "Yolanda, did you hear about Brooks’s accident?"

"Mm," Yolanda replied, already inford by Adam Sterling who had been involved in the investigation and told Noah, "Leah Diaz and I will return tomorrow."

"Okay, I’ll join you." Noah had gone back to the base for a report today and tentatively asked, "Did you and Cooper get your divorce...?"

"Not finalized," Yolanda exhaled, "I’ll figure sothing else out later."

After hanging up, she quickly booked a ticket but discovered she already had a ticket for the first flight tomorrow. Was it Leah who bought it?

She imdiately confird it with Leah, who said she hadn’t.

Noah sent another ssage, [Yolanda, what ti should Leah and you buy plane tickets for? I can get them for you.]

[No need, big brother, Leah got her own, and soone got mine for .] Yolanda suddenly felt guilty as if she was doing sothing wrong.

But she hadn’t done anything, so she quickly sent another ssage, [It seems like it was Cooper, maybe he accidentally bought mine too.]

Noah didn’t reply but went straight to Cooper’s room.

"Sothing wrong?" Cooper looked up, dropping his pretense of indifference.

"Did you buy Yolanda’s ticket back to the States?" Noah bluntly questioned.

"Yeah, I just bought it on impulse," Cooper was browsing a magazine, feigning nonchalance.

Noah, imdiately enraged, grabbed Cooper by the collar and hauled him up, "What are you trying to do? You refuse to divorce, but now you’re helping her here and there, what do you think it ans?"

Cooper looked at him coldly, "It ans nothing, why are you angry?"

He chuckled lowly, "What’s the matter? Big brother, is Yolanda not loving you enough to make you this insecure?"

That hit a nerve with Noah, and he swung a punch at him, "Shut your mouth!"

Not to be outdone, Cooper stood and retaliated. Although he hadn’t gone through any special forces training, he still had learned self-defense arts like taekwondo and combat fighting.

The two soon got into a scuffle.
