"The child is nad Emily Parker?" lissa Greenwood asked happily, "That’s a lovely na, she must beco a beauty when she grows up."
Brooks Parker’s face changed, but he did not correct lissa.
"Brother Brooks, when I left, I really thought about coming back, but I hadn’t expected that upon returning to the country..." lissa sighed repeatedly, "You know the power of the Coldson Family, trying to leave again was impossible."
Brooks gritted his teeth, "Then why did you leave without saying goodbye? Why did you take my ID?"
"Brother Brooks, when I gave birth to May, I was actually very scared, uncertain about the future, and wanted to return ho, but I was afraid to tell you." lissa began to cry again, "I feared you would insist on coming back with , and if the Coldson Family found out about us, you and May would certainly not survive."
Brooks’s expression grew colder, "Damn Coldson Family, do they think money gives them the right to do whatever they want?"
"I took your ID because I was afraid you’d co back to look for ." lissa grabbed Brooks’s hand with courage, "I really feared sothing might happen to you and May."
This ti, Brooks did not pull away. He asked coldly, "Is everything you’re saying true?"
"If there’s a single lie, let die a horrible death." lissa raised her hand and swore.
"What are your plans for coming here this ti?" Brooks’s tone softened considerably, "In the past year, May has missed you a lot, always talking about you."
He looked at lissa with so anticipation, "Do you want to... go see her now?"
"Not now!" lissa imdiately refused, she did not want to see that bastard child at all.
"So you are deceiving again." Brooks shook off lissa’s hand.
"Brother Brooks, listen to , I can’t just go see her like this, give so ti to get ready." lissa approached Brooks again, "Brother Brooks, over the past year, surely May hasn’t been the only one who missed ?"
Brooks instantly froze, his whole being rigid; he was afraid of misunderstanding, but his desire had already started to stir.
lissa imdiately realized she had gambled correctly, this pathetic man still couldn’t stop thinking about her, what a fool.
She gently hugged Brooks’s arm, "I told Cooper Coldson that I’m eting with a good friend tonight, we’ll have plenty of ti to catch up."
"I look like this now..." Brooks dared not look into lissa’s eyes, "You... don’t mind?"
"What silly things are you saying, Brother Brooks? In my heart, you’ve always been the brightest student I admired." lissa leaned in closer, her voice low in Brooks’s ear, "Brother Brooks, do you know of any lodging nearby, preferably without caras?"
For Cooper Coldson, she hadn’t touched a man in over a year.
Today, seeing Brooks again, she was moved; after all, who wouldn’t have a crush on such a gloriously studious guy?
But she would not allow any evidence to be left behind.
Brooks nodded.
The two walked one after another out of the park, quickly disappearing into the darkness.
After about a ten-minute walk, Brooks finally stopped; they were in front of a signless dive, filled with people who seed very poor.
Brooks turned back to look at lissa, "Will this be okay?"
lissa was disdainful, but it was already too late to turn back.
She handed so cash to Brooks, "You go in first, I need to buy sothing and will be right back."
Brooks grabbed her wrist suddenly, "Are you planning to run?"
"What would be the point of lying to you?" lissa bit her lip and kissed Brooks on the face, "Be good, go in and wash up; I’ll be right back."
Brooks hesitated, then let go.
lissa went to buy a baseball cap and a disguise; she could not allow the past mistake to happen again.
When she returned to the hotel and went upstairs, Brooks had just co out of the bath.
The man had obviously been through a lot these past two years; even after cleaning up, he looked especially world-weary, not at all like the vibrant young man he once was, and certainly not comparable to Cooper Coldson.
Instantly, lissa felt a pang of regret.
But how could Brooks give her the chance to regret? He imdiately tossed aside the towel and pounced, quickly stripping off lissa’s clothes.
The two kissed passionately toward the bed, and as lissa was undressing, she caught sight of the dingy bedsheet and felt instantly sickened.
"Wait a second!" she pushed Brooks away, "How can the bed be this dirty?"
Brooks, panting, bit lissa’s neck, and during a pause, he scoffed coldly, "What? You co to this kind of place and still think you’re so Greenwood family princess?"
lissa felt a sense of utter desolation.
Brooks, regardless of all else, had beco destitute in lissa’s absence, left to consort only with black prostitutes.
When he stripped lissa and saw her skin as white as snow, he went completely mad.
This was the woman he deserved.
Brooks ravaged lissa’s body recklessly, and she felt nothing.
Even at the mont Brooks entered her, she couldn’t stop the tears.
She hated Cooper Coldson, hated Yolanda Greenwood; if not for them, how would she have ended up in this situation?
How could she have ended up with a tramp?
They were the cause of all her troubles, and she vowed to make them regret it!
Who knows how much ti passed, but Brooks finally released inside lissa.
He lay drained on top of her, teasing, "Never thought after all this ti you’d still be a little minx who bites; there were a few tis just now, I almost surrendered."
lissa didn’t want to talk; every word Brooks said was an insult to her.
"Hey, you didn’t have so surgery, did you?" Brooks propped himself up to look at her, "Just to please Coldson?"
"Get off, I need to go back now." lissa forcefully pushed Brooks away and headed to the bathroom to shower.
Pushing open the door, the stench was so bad she nearly vomited, so she ran out, staring at Brooks in disbelief.
She couldn’t understand how he endured it.
Brooks began to dress, his deanor casual, "Nothing to make a fuss about, the place where May and I stay isn’t even as good as this."
lissa couldn’t imagine.
"I should go back too," Brooks said as he got dressed, "I only paid for two hours, hurry up and wash, then leave as soon as you’re done."
"..." lissa was livid; the money she’d given Brooks was enough to book a whole week.
As she reached the door, Brooks reminded her, "Get whatever you need ready fast, next ti, you’ll have to et May with ."
Once Brooks left, lissa kicked and punched the door.
This past hour had been nothing but humiliation, a nightmare!
"et your daughter?" lissa scoffed, "That damned bastard child, I will never et her in my life."
When Brooks got ho, he saw the note Yolanda Greenwood had left on the table; he thought for a mont and then decided to go upstairs to fetch May.
