The first ti soone pointed a gun at her, Lola Gold felt as if she were in a trance.

She instinctively stepped back, looking at the gun uneasily, wondering if it was real.

The man was dressed entirely in black, including a hat and mask which covered his face, revealing only a pair of slender eyes. He first glanced at the sickbed, then fiercely demanded, "Where’s the patient in this room?"

Lola Gold was surprised. Was the visitor here for Yolanda Greenwood?

Her trembling voice managed, "What... what patient?"

"Stop playing dumb. I’m talking about Yolanda Greenwood, the woman known as Yolanda. Where did she go?" the man bellowed, visibly angry.

"Who... who are you?" Lola Gold swallowed hard, her palm sweaty with fear.

"Cut the crap. Where did Yolanda Greenwood go?" The man stepped forward, pointing the gun at Lola Gold’s head, "Speak now or I’ll kill you."

Imnse fear blanked Lola’s mind, but she was determined not to let him find Yolanda.

"Speak! Do you want to die?" the man’s patience seed to have worn thin.

"She... she went to the restroom," Lola lied, "Why don’t you check there?"

"You think I’m a fool?" the man sneered, "I’ll wait here. She will have to co back."

Lola Gold wanted to scream for help, but the man quickly advanced and knocked her unconscious with his gun.

anwhile, at the Empire Grand Hotel, Cooper Coldson and lissa Greenwood’s wedding was being held again at the rooftop, this ti on an even grander scale with more dignitaries and dia present.

In the bride’s makeup room, Wendy Bennett and Athena White surrounded lissa, flattering her nonstop.

"lissa, Cooper really loves you, doesn’t he? This wedding is even more lavish than the last. I’m so envious."

"Indeed, lissa will soon be the wife of the Patriarch of the Coldson Family. Now there are so many ladies outside who want to ingratiate themselves with you. Please don’t ignore us then."

"How could I?" lissa tilted her head slightly, allowing the makeup artist to touch up her makeup. She intended to be the most beautiful bride today, "We’ve been friends since childhood, and we will continue to be."

Wendy Bennett and Athena White exchanged glances.

They both knew about the mix-up between lissa Greenwood and Yolanda Greenwood. In other words, if lissa hadn’t initially been Third Greenwood’s daughter, how would they have ever played together?

It was a pity that Yolanda was so unfortunate, having lost her family and now the support of the Coldson family.

Unfortunately, lissa had been a substitute for over two decades, and with Cooper having fled the last wedding, many people were still watching and waiting. Otherwise, the room wouldn’t be so quiet.

"lissa, did you make sure this ti no one will disturb the ceremony? Not like Yolanda last ti."

"Gentle!" lissa’s expression cooled, and she snapped at the makeup artist.

A flash of hatred crossed her eyes, but it quickly disappeared as she smiled warmly at the two behind her, "About last ti, Cooper has explained it to . Yolanda said that his grandfather was in poor health, so he had to leave with her."

Wendy clenched her teeth, "Did the Old Master Coldson not co today? Does he like Yolanda that much? Only acknowledges her?"

"It doesn’t matter." lissa smiled, "He can’t change Cooper’s heart towards and besides, he won’t live much longer."

"That’s for the best."

Wendy Bennett and Athena White exchanged another look, then presented two carefully prepared gifts to lissa.

"lissa, this is just a little sothing from us, congratulations!"

lissa curved her lips, thinking that after today, she would be the wife of the Family Head of the Coldson Family. All those who doubted and scorned her would beco her lapdogs!

Elsewhere, in Cooper Coldson’s groom’s lounge at the hotel, he was alone.

He had sent everyone away and glanced at his phone on the table, as if hesitating about sothing.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

"Cooper, it’s , your brother!" It was Noah Coldson.

Cooper thought for a mont before getting up to open the door.

"Everything ready?" Noah asked with concern as he entered.

"Yes." Cooper sat back on the sofa, stretching his long legs casually.

Noah nodded, hesitated for a while, then sat beside Cooper, "Congratulations."

Cooper said nothing.

"I know I wronged you with Yolanda," Noah said, looking down, "I owe you an apology. But you two were actually over, and since you decided to marry lissa, she’s free too."

Cooper snorted but still didn’t speak.

"Alright, I won’t disturb you anymore. The auspicious ti is almost here, I will go out and wait." Noah added finally, "Congratulations, brother, I truly an it."

However, as he reached the door, he heard Cooper speak again.

"Brother, have you ever thought, does Yolanda truly love you?" Cooper raised an eyebrow.

Noah stopped, his hand on the doorknob, but he didn’t turn it.

"Think about it, I’ve known that woman for quite so ti now. I know what it looks like when she loves soone. Her feelings for brother..." Cooper’s tone was provocative, "I believe gratitude outweighs affection."

Noah remained still.

Cooper pushed further to provoke him, "Does that not bother you?"

Finally, Noah turned around, his expression unreadable, "Cooper, what are you trying to accomplish by saying these things now?"

Cooper’s eyes darkened, "Nothing, I just hope you see the reality."

Noah chuckled softly, "The reality is that Yolanda is pregnant with my child, and you are about to marry lissa."

"Cooper, I know you might be struggling inside, you know you might have feelings for Yolanda but..." Noah glanced at the red ’happiness’ character nearby, "you no longer have the chance to choose again."

"Live well with lissa. After the divorce proceedings are settled, don’t co looking for Yolanda again." Noah finally turned and left the room.

Cooper grabbed a wine glass from the table and hurled it to the floor, his eyes bloodshot with anger.

He didn’t know what was wrong with him, why his longing for Yolanda had grown so much, even to the point that the thought of her carrying Noah’s child drove him mad with jealousy.

These days, he had been trying hard not to think about her, wanting to live well with lissa, but it all seed futile.

His gaze shifted back to his phone.

At this mont, he didn’t want to see the bride he was about to marry, but to hear... even just to hear her voice.

Cooper finally picked up the phone, telling himself that after this call, he would delete Yolanda’s contact details and sever all ties with her.

He would treat lissa well, give her everything he could.

Except for his heart, his love, those he couldn’t give her.

Resolved, Cooper finally made the call to Yolanda, waiting silently for her to answer.
