lissa Greenwood didn’t give Cooper Coldson a chance to speak, nor did she allow him ti to consider the problem.
She continued crying and said, "Have you ever thought that it’s not just and Eliana who know about this, but Gemma Morgan knows as well?"
Cooper was montarily stunned by the question and recalled that indeed, Gemma had been particularly good to Yolanda.
"Don’t forget, Gemma ended up in the ergency room because she gave a blood transfusion to Yolanda," lissa buried her face in her knees, sobbing uncontrollably.
As she cried, she accused, "Since childhood, Gemma has always liked Yolanda, thinking of her whenever anything good cos up. What about ? As a child, I didn’t understand and just thought maybe I wasn’t nice enough, always trying to behave better, but was it useful?"
Her cries grew louder, "Even before Gemma died, all she thought about was Yolanda, asking my dad to take good care of Yolanda, but how many tis did Yolanda hurt my dad’s feelings? Has she ever considered that?"
"Stop crying for now." Ultimately, Cooper didn’t understand these things and never cared.
Hearing lissa say this, he found himself at a loss for words, "Alright, alright, I didn’t an to bla you, I just feel that... whether it’s Yolanda or Jaxon, they should have the right to know the truth."
"I’ve always wanted to tell dad, but... I haven’t found the right mont." lissa lifted her head, "A lot has happened recently, as you’ve seen. Dad’s condition isn’t good. Give so more ti to reveal everything."
"I’m not trying to pressure you," Cooper said earnestly, "Decide when you want to tell."
"Cooper," lissa tremblingly reached for Cooper’s hand, "do you think I’m selfish? Will you hate ?"
"No, lissa, I’ve told you, you can have anything you want except my heart," Cooper added, "But rember, all this is because you and my brother owe your lives to her."
A sudden chill ran down lissa’s back; Cooper was warning her that if she hadn’t been the one to save them, then everything she had now would be taken back.
"Alright, it’s getting late, let’s rest," Cooper withdrew his hand and left.
lissa knew he was going to wash his hands, unable to accept her touch.
Damn it, what should I do now?
She couldn’t keep her secret much longer, but however hard she tried, this man never saw her as a woman, which was infuriating!
Ti passed quickly, and in a blink, it was the TaLa Annual International Show on December 31st, with New Year’s Day just around the corner. Everyone attending the big show was dressed to the nines.
Yolanda and others arrived at the venue early, waiting for the evening show to start.
It was Lola Gold’s first experience at such a grand show. Her face had mostly healed, and she was live-streaming, marking her official return.
The live chat was bustling, her fans clearly missed her.
[Lola’s finally back, I almost turned into a ghost while you were gone.]
[Lola looks gorgeous today, what event is she attending?]
[Is it the TaLa Annual Show? Did Lola manage to get an entry?]
Lola cleared her throat, "Luck for my ’wives’, I am now backstage at the TaLa Annual Show, and I’m about to introduce you to the most talented designer here."
Yolanda, Noah Coldson, and Adam Sterling were all in the room, shaking their heads at her exaggerated expressions.
Soon, Lola turned the cara to Yolanda, "Yolanda, say hello to everyone."
"Hello!" Yolanda smiled, tilting her head.
The comnts imdiately burst into praises, and so sharp-eyed viewers noticed two other n in the room and clamored to see them.
However, due to his special identity, Noah couldn’t be fild, so Lola shifted the cara to Adam.
"This is Dr. Sterling, my new male... friend. Isn’t he handso, everyone?"
Adam wore gold-rimd glasses and had a disheveled scholarly charm when he didn’t smile, sending the live chat into fits of screams.
Lola then continued chatting intently with her audience, as the live stream’s popularity soared.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
Yolanda went to answer it and was surprised to find President Ken and a foreigner she didn’t recognize.
Ken introduced the foreigner as Candy, the design director of TaLa, who was incredibly pleased with her work and even invited her to visit and study at TaLa headquarters.
"Really?" Yolanda was thrilled; going to TaLa was a chance for her to reach beyond.
"Of course, you are very talented, and our president likes your designs a lot," Candy spoke in sowhat clumsy Chinese, "Do you have plans to travel abroad soon?"
Yolanda hesitated, naturally wanting to go, but it obviously wasn’t possible right now as she was pregnant.
She spoke after a mont, "Director Candy, I might not be able to go abroad soon, but could this opportunity be reserved for ?"
"Yolanda, what are you hesitating about?" Ken asked, puzzled.
Yolanda looked apologetic.
"Miss Greenwood, I can’t give you an answer to that," Candy seed to imdiately lose interest in her and turned to Ken.
Ken furrowed his brows, "Take so more ti to think about it. The show is about to start, go on out."
Yolanda watched them leave, feeling sowhat disheartened as she returned to the room.
"What’s wrong?" Lola turned off the sound on her phone, asking with concern.
Yolanda shook her head, "I’ll tell you later; let’s head out, the show is about to start."
"Okay."
The four of them left together.
Yolanda had received an invitation as a designer, so their seats weren’t in the front.
Yolanda sat with Noah, while Lola and Adam sat together. The seating was designed for couples, in line with today’s the of ’A World for Two’.
Just after sitting down, Yolanda felt an intense stare from the front row and looked up to see Cooper.
Beside Cooper sat lissa, and they were in the front row.
Aside from them, Christopher Coldson and Sunny Coldson also attended. It was clear from Lola’s expression that she noticed them too.
It wasn’t strange for the Coldson Family to be invited since the Coldson Group didn’t venture into fashion, and Cooper would have typically had no interest in such a show.
Cooper’s presence there ant only one thing: he had co with lissa.
Yolanda forced herself to look away toward the fashion show stage. This was their first encounter since she had revealed the truth, and the outco was clear.
She didn’t care anymore; she was simply exhausted.
The show proceeded smoothly, with senior critics selecting the top three designs, including one of Yolanda’s.
Soon, she was invited to the stage to take pictures with Tala’s president, the design director, and the dostic sponsors of the event.
Yolanda hadn’t expected Cooper to also ascend the stage.
