As an observer, Lola Gold already found it extrely difficult, let alone the person herself.

Yolanda Greenwood had loved Cooper Coldson for six years, married him for one, and what did seven years yield?

Nothing but Cooper Coldson’s contempt and disdain for her.

Everything was indeed supposed to have ended.

Yolanda wiped her tears away and squeezed out a smile at Lola.

"Lola, you’re right, after seven years, every cell in a person’s body has changed, so why should I still obsess over Cooper Coldson?"

She had to perk up and work towards her own future.

Over the next few days, Yolanda turned off her phone, refusing any connection with the outside world, focusing solely on painting.

Finally, by Monday, she designed a set of dresses thed "First Love."

She decided to take these design drawings to the company to make a final attempt for herself.

When she reached the company’s entrance, she unexpectedly encountered lissa Greenwood.

"Yolanda, what brings you here?"

lissa pulled her aside, "I’ve still been fighting your case with the company’s executives, don’t rush; go back and wait."

"Cousin," Yolanda said, holding the portfolio, "I’ve designed a few dresses and wanted to show them to Manager Reyes."

"Really?" lissa’s eyes brightened, "But Manager Reyes is out of town, he won’t be back until tomorrow afternoon."

She looked at the portfolio in Yolanda’s arms, "Cousin, how about I preview them for you?"

Yolanda hesitated a bit before nodding, "Okay, that would trouble you, cousin."

She handed over the portfolio.

lissa flipped through it briefly, "Very nice, Yolanda. Go back and tweak so minor details, and I believe Manager Reyes will definitely like it."

"That’s great." Yolanda, overjoyed, said, "Thank you, cousin. I’ll co again on Wednesday."

"Alright, I should head to work now." lissa left, clicking her high-heeled shoes.

Yolanda, clutching the portfolio, watched as that graceful figure disappeared.

A shadow of murky emotion flickered in her eyes, but soon, she turned and left.

Back at the apartnt, Yolanda shared the incident with Lola Gold.

"You showed the design drawings to lissa?"

Lola’s tone carried a bit of disappointnt.

"Yes." Yolanda nodded.

"Yolanda..." Lola didn’t know what to say, "I know you have always trusted lissa, but..."

She could only sigh quietly in the end, "Maybe it is really just overthinking."

At noon the next day, Lola urged Yolanda.

"Yolanda, didn’t you say Manager Reyes is coming back this afternoon? I think you shouldn’t wait till tomorrow; go find her at the company now."

She feared delayed issues might complicate further.

However, Yolanda had no intention to leave, instead, she used her phone to photograph the design drawings.

"Yolanda, what are you doing?"

"I want to send the photos to Manager Reyes first."

"That works." Lola sat down next to Yolanda, entirely in agreent, "Just say these are what you painted over several sleepless nights, you’ll value..."

Yolanda shook her head and showed Lola the edited WeChat ssage.

Lola was initially shocked but quickly understood Yolanda’s intention.

The two exchanged nods in silent agreent, and Yolanda hit the send button.

The wait was sowhat long, and it wasn’t until evening that Yolanda received a reply from Jenny Reyes.

"I’ve seen this; isn’t this Director Greenwood’s ’Love’? I think it’s excellent, I wanted to use it as the leading design for the next season, but Director Greenwood wasn’t satisfied and said it needed revisions."

Reading the ssage, Yolanda’s hands trembled uncontrollably.

She passed the phone to Lola.

Lola imdiately burst out cursing.

"How can the nation not use lissa’s thick skin to research bulletproof vests?"

"The shalessness of this woman really opens my eyes."

At noon, Yolanda had sent Jenny a WeChat ssage, "President Reyes, have you seen this set of design drawings?"

Therefore, after seeing Yolanda’s designs earlier, lissa imdiately went back, replicated them, and showed them to Jenny first.

"Yolanda!" Lola was furious.

All these years, Yolanda had been living in the shadow of lissa.

Especially in the past year, both being victims, Yolanda had felt a deep sense of guilt towards lissa.

Now with these events, it was clear that lissa had been putting on an act all along.

Yolanda looked at Lola, her voice trembling as she spoke.

"Lola, is it possible that the incident at the birthday party was really a conspiracy between my mom and lissa?"

After all, it was lissa who had taken her into that VIP room, and the only other person who knew Cooper Coldson was there was lissa.

Lola couldn’t answer; she didn’t even dare to think.

If one’s own mother and cousin had conspired to deliver one to soone else’s bed, how horrifying would that be?

"Yolanda, calm down for a mont." Lola held Yolanda’s hand, "It doesn’t make sense, lissa wanted to marry Cooper so badly; there’s no reason for her to do this!"

Yolanda couldn’t stay calm. "There might have been so compelling reason why lissa couldn’t marry him back then. Or perhaps, she had to leave?"

"But why you?" Lola found it all too unbelievable.

"I don’t know, I just don’t know."

Yolanda couldn’t wait any longer; she had to go to the Greenwood’s house imdiately.

She wanted to ask Eliana Reed in person what had really happened back then.

"Yolanda, you need to stay calm. Currently, your mom clearly sides with lissa; even if it was related to lissa, your mom won’t tell you."

Lola grabbed Yolanda’s wrist, "Yolanda, if you’re going to ask, you can’t do it directly. You need to think about how to ask."

Yolanda nodded.

On the way back, the events of that year replayed in her mind.

lissa had her birthday party, inviting many prestigious families from Gray City, and it was quite a grand affair.

Yolanda rembered it was Eliana who took her there; later, it was also Eliana who gave her a drink.

After drinking, she felt uncomfortable, and lissa tily appeared, leading her into the VIP room.

Once inside, she saw Cooper Coldson, his eyes unnaturally red.

Later, when lissa burst in, Yolanda was in a daze, sitting on Cooper Coldson’s lap.

Eliana rushed in and slapped her, and Cooper, halfway sobered from the effects of the drug, furiously told her to get out.

Overnight, she beca a laughingstock.

Afterwards, no matter how much she explained, nobody believed her words.

Eliana scolded her for shalessness, Cooper called her a scher, and lissa refused to see her... but Yolanda hadn’t done anything.

If all this had indeed been engineered by lissa and Eliana, it all made sense.

But why?

Like Lola said, why her?

When Yolanda reached the front door of the Greenwood house, she saw lissa’s shoes.

A servant approached, "What a coincidence, Miss, you’ve co back too."

"My cousin is here?"

"Yes, Miss lissa and the lady are speaking in the study, they said not to disturb them."

"It’s okay, I’m not here to see them, I just want to get sothing from my room."

Yolanda looked towards the study, her heart inexplicably beating faster.
