"Child, how’s the child?"
Yolanda Greenwood saw Noah Coldson co in and struggled to sit up, grabbing his arm anxiously and looking at him.
"Please lie down first," Noah Coldson spoke in a deep, soothing voice, "Aren’t you curious where you are?"
The longer he didn’t speak, the more frightened Yolanda Greenwood beca, "Tell first, is the child... is the child still here?"
She couldn’t bear to think about it, she just wanted to hear a definite answer.
"The child is fine," Noah Coldson noticed that Yolanda Greenwood finally breathed a sigh of relief when she heard this, he added, "But it’s only temporary."
Yolanda Greenwood lay back on the bed, staring straight at the ceiling, as if the excitent had exhausted all her remaining energy.
Noah Coldson could see that these two children really ant more to Yolanda Greenwood than her own life.
He sighed softly, feeling sowhat gloomy, covered her with a blanket, and instructed, "Dr. Hall said you need to stay in bed for at least a month."
Yolanda Greenwood rembered that before she passed out, she had seen Cooper Coldson.
She felt sowhat despairing, "Cooper knows, doesn’t he?"
"Do you want him to know?" Noah Coldson didn’t even realize how tense his voice was as he asked, "Think carefully before answering."
He hesitated before speaking, "Maybe if he knew, he wouldn’t divorce you."
Yolanda Greenwood looked at him, "Brother, what do you think a good marriage should be like? Maintaining it just for the sake of the children, can we really keep it up?"
"But you still love him," Noah Coldson affird, and moreover, he felt that Cooper... might also be starting to feel the sa.
Most importantly, Cooper Coldson’s willingness to marry lissa Greenwood was because he mistook her for that girl from the past, and Yolanda Greenwood didn’t know any of this.
Noah Coldson’s gaze struggled, should he tell her? Let Yolanda Greenwood decide for herself?
Yolanda Greenwood gave a bitter smile, her voice no longer retaining any affection, "Perhaps I still love him, but I have already let him go."
In that mont, she looked around, realizing she seed to be in a ward, but this place didn’t look like a hospital.
She rembered Noah Coldson ntioned Dr. Hall from Ivy Hall, "Where are we? Is Dr. Hall here too?"
Noah Coldson sat down on the chair next to her, "This is the camp, simply put, it’s where I work."
Yolanda Greenwood was slightly surprised, she was in a military camp?
She asked in a timid voice, "This... won’t it be against your rules?"
Noah Coldson’s expression changed, did not respond, looking very troubled.
"Is it to help hide from Cooper?" Yolanda Greenwood imdiately struggled to get up, "No, I can’t stay here, please send away."
Noah Coldson quickly stepped forward and gently pressed her down, "Alright, I’m not joking anymore, bringing you here doesn’t violate any rules, rest assured."
"Really?" Yolanda Greenwood was doubtful, then she could vaguely hear the uniform training sounds outside.
Noah Coldson firmly nodded, "When have I ever lied to you? Also, Cooper doesn’t know about your pregnancy, so just focus on getting well."
After all, it was his territory, and his rules were the rules.
"Why don’t you take a nap, is there anything you want for dinner? The chefs here are not bad."
Yolanda Greenwood gratefully tugged at the corner of her mouth, "Anything is fine, thank you, Brother."
"Still being polite with ? Then I’ll go and arrange it," Noah Coldson smiled, closed the door carefully after leaving.
He instructed the kitchen on a few things, upon exiting he saw Alex Johnson cheekily looking at him.
Noah Coldson kicked toward him, "You little rascal, instead of keeping an eye on their training, what are you staring at for?"
"They don’t need monitoring; every one of them is more obedient than rabbits," Alex Johnson cleverly dodged, "But you, you’ve been acting unusual, making everyone very worried."
Noah Coldson huffed and walked towards the training field.
Alex Johnson followed behind, "Captain, really not going to share even a bit? Those youngsters are bursting with curiosity, if I don’t bring back so intel, they might not listen to in the future."
He exaggeratedly shook his head, "These newcors are really hard to manage, I wonder what the Special Training Camp is doing."
The two found a place to sit by the training field.
Noah Coldson was silent, appearing deeply troubled.
"Captain," Alex Johnson, being sharp and having followed him for many years, imdiately asked considerately, "Have you encountered so problems? Share it, brothers can help you think of a solution."
"From you?" Noah Coldson sneered, "You’re still wet behind the ears."
"Just tell , more people, more ideas," Alex Johnson put on a look as if he would die without hearing sothing.
Noah Coldson’s expression beca slightly more composed, appearing especially solemn.
Alex Johnson imdiately pricked up his ears.
"Actually, I did sothing wrong, and I’m afraid to face it," Noah Coldson gave a bitter smile, "After all these years, I’m still a coward."
"Nonsense!" Alex Johnson completely disagreed, "Whether it’s our brigade or the headquarters, is there anyone who would dare to call you, Noah Coldson, a coward?"
His face was full of admiration, "You were six when you entered the Special Training Camp, others were at least eleven or twelve. In everyone’s eyes, you are the true iron-blooded tough guy, an example to us all."
Noah Coldson looked at him, "Do you know why I entered the Special Training Camp at six?"
"Probably ignorance at a young age?" Other than that, Alex Johnson couldn’t think of anything else.
What was the Special Training Camp? A place where hundreds of people entered and only ten were left. It was a hellish training camp, and those who ca out were the strongest support of the country, also its sharpest blade.
"Want to hear a story?" Noah Coldson suddenly raised his eyebrows and asked him.
"Sure," Alex Johnson nodded vigorously, knowing well at this mont the story would be a fact, as personal as himself.
"There were three children kidnapped, an older brother, a younger brother, and a little sister."
"How were they kidnapped?" Alex Johnson curiously asked, "Are they heirs to so major family?"
Noah Coldson’s expression changed, he then snapped impatiently, "Do you want to hear it or not? If you do, don’t ask questions, just listen."
"Listening, listening," Alex Johnson dared not interrupt anymore.
"Later, the little sister and the older brother managed to untie their ropes and could escape, but only one could leave, to go back and alert their parents, to seek help."
Noah Coldson paused, "And the two left behind could be beaten by the kidnappers or even worse."
He looked at Alex Johnson, "Who do you think should go back?"
"Definitely the sister..." Quickly, Alex Johnson realized sothing was off, "It should be the brother who goes back, he runs faster and is more reliable than the sister, since it might be their only chance at rescue, it should be given to the brother."
Noah Coldson pulled at the corner of his mouth and continued, "After the older brother escaped, he quickly found their family, but..."
