Cooper Coldson rushed over imdiately after receiving a call from lissa Greenwood.
"Cooper..." lissa threw herself into his arms, "What should I do? I mistook the gas pedal for the brake, am I going to go to jail?"
Cooper frowned, pushed her away lightly, and looked her over. Seeing only so redness on her forehead, he asked, "Are you injured anywhere else?"
lissa shook her head and pointed to the car across from her, "Cooper, why hasn’t the driver co out yet? She... she’s not dead, is she?"
The car across was clearly a small vehicle driven by a woman, and judging by the distance and damage to the cars, it was unlikely that there had been a fatality.
Cooper patted lissa on the shoulder, "I’ll go check."
"I’ll co with you." lissa carefully tugged on the hem of Cooper’s shirt, following closely behind him.
The mont he pried open the car door, Cooper’s head buzzed—he saw Yolanda Greenwood’s pale face lying there, seemingly lifeless.
"How could it be Yolanda?" lissa covered her mouth, exclaiming in disbelief.
Cooper turned around, grabbed her by the neck, "Did you do this on purpose?"
"No, no," lissa shook her head frantically, tears streaming down her face, "I didn’t know Yolanda had bought a new car, and why would I call you if I had intentionally hit her?"
Her tears fell like rain, "Cooper, you have to believe , let’s take her to the hospital first."
"You better not be lying!" Cooper pushed her aside, carefully nudged the person in the car, "Yolanda, wake up?"
Yolanda’s complexion was poor, but no injuries were visible.
He nudged her several tis, but Yolanda showed no signs of waking.
Feeling puzzled, Cooper carefully picked her up, and suddenly a pungent sll of blood spread.
"Ah..." lissa scread, pointing at Yolanda’s coat, "So much blood, Yolanda has lost a lot of blood."
"Shut up!" Cooper had seen it, but he didn’t know where Yolanda was injured.
He carried her, turned, and ran towards his car.
He had to hurry; with so much blood loss, it could be life-threatening!
Cooper’s heart raced as he got into the car and imdiately commanded Richard Reyes to drive.
lissa followed, but before she could get into the car, it had already sped away.
She clenched her teeth in hatred, but didn’t dare delay, imdiately calling Noah Coldson.
"Brother, sothing terrible has happened, Yolanda had a car accident."
"What did you say?" Noah’s voice shot up three octaves.
"Right now, Cooper is taking her to the downtown hospital, Brother..." lissa didn’t finish her sentence before the call was disconnected.
Thinking about how much both brothers cared for that woman Yolanda, lissa gritted her teeth in hatred.
She believed that Yolanda’s child would definitely not be saved, and whether Cooper would find out about Yolanda’s pregnancy would depend on Noah’s speed.
At this point, it didn’t matter if Cooper knew because the child was gone anyway.
Actually, lissa didn’t need to take action herself, but she believed she would be fine, and this was the last ti she would harm soone; she didn’t want to leave any leverage for others.
Noah arrived at the hospital while Yolanda was still in the resuscitation room.
"What happened?" he rushed up to Cooper, demanding, "What happened?"
Cooper was pale, still in shock, "I don’t know, it was lissa... lissa accidentally drove..."
Noah’s fist struck out, "Accidentally? You still believe it was an accident?"
Unprepared, Cooper was knocked to the ground.
His mind was in chaos, his body covered in blood, he looked at Noah and muttered, "The accident wasn’t serious, but... but I don’t know why..."
He opened his hands, his eyes filled with horror, "Blood, she lost so much blood, and it couldn’t be stopped."
Noah gritted his teeth with hatred, but he couldn’t reveal yet that Yolanda was pregnant—at least, he shouldn’t be the one to say it.
"Go wash up," he said sternly, anxiously peering into the resuscitation room.
Cooper sat back down in his chair, banging his head in frustration, never knowing he could be so scared.
As ti ticked by, the resuscitation room doors finally swung open, and a nurse hurried out.
"How is she? How is the patient?" Cooper and Noah rushed over together.
"The patient has lost too much blood, her life is at risk," the nurse hurried on, "We need to find blood now."
"Use mine, take mine," Cooper’s mind seed incapable of rational thought.
The nurse glanced at him, "The patient is B-type RH negative, are you?"
In a mont of bewildernt, Cooper suddenly roared, "I don’t care what blood type she is, I need her to live!"
"Nuts!" the nurse clearly didn’t know Cooper.
"I’ll handle it," Noah left a brief reply and quickly walked away.
About ten minutes later, five military pickups arrived at the hospital entrance, and hundreds of soldiers jumped down, a truly intimidating sight.
These were all people who didn’t know their blood type, and they imdiately lined up for the blood donation room.
However, as "panda blood" is incredibly rare, the blood testing continued unabated, with new pickups arriving as others left.
The atmosphere in the hospital resembled a battlefield.
Regaining his senses, Cooper utilized the national hospital system, requesting an imdiate supply of B-type RH negative blood.
But distant waters cannot quench a near fire.
Just when everyone was at a loss, lissa suddenly appeared with Gemma Morgan.
Seeing lissa, Cooper almost wanted to hit soone, "What are you doing here?"
"Cooper, my mom, my mom has the sa blood type as Yolanda," lissa said plaintively, "I’m here to help."
She had anticipated that Yolanda would urgently need blood due to severe bleeding, so she brought Gemma at the right ti.
Gemma imdiately nodded, "I have the sa blood type as her, I’ll go draw blood right now."
Cooper’s expression softened a bit, "Then go quickly."
lissa took Gemma away.
He looked at Noah, "Do you still suspect her?"
"I’ve seen the scene, such a short distance wouldn’t kill anyone, lissa had no reason to do this," he reaffird his judgnt.
Noah’s expression darkened, "All she wanted was to deploy the airbag."
"What do you an?" Cooper was confused.
"Never mind, let’s discuss it when Yolanda wakes up," Noah thought for a mont and decided to look for lissa, "I’ll go see how it’s going."
Cooper had a creeping suspicion, he caught up in a few steps, "Brother, what did you an by that?"
"It ans nothing," Noah quickened his pace.
Cooper grabbed his arm, "Brother, why does Yolanda seem unhard but lost so much blood? Do you know sothing?"
He really couldn’t understand; lissa just bumped her head, but Yolanda was bleeding profusely and had gone straight to the resuscitation room.
Wasn’t that too strange?
