Yolanda Greenwood visited the hospital early the next morning, and Little Maria had already woken up.

The little one’s face was sowhat pale, and she spoke weakly, "Sister Yolanda, Maria has missed you so much."

"I’ve missed you too, so I ca as soon as I got up," Yolanda said tenderly, gazing at the child.

Little Maria waved her hand, beckoning Yolanda to co closer.

Curious, Yolanda leaned in.

"I heard Edmund say there are little babies in your belly – two of them."

Yolanda smiled, "Yes, but why are you whispering?"

"Edmund said it’s a secret, that the babies should be three months old before we can talk about it. But since we are your favorite kids, he told us early."

Yolanda laughed heartily, "That’s right, you are my favorite little ones."

Little Maria smiled happily, "Don’t worry, Sister Yolanda, we will pray every day for the babies to be healthy and happy."

"What a good girl, Maria!" Yolanda caressed the little one’s cheek.

Noah Coldson ca in and called Yolanda out, "Maria is going to be transferred to another hospital."

"Why?" Yolanda was reluctant, as having Little Maria in Gray City ant she could visit her often.

"They’ve found a potential heart donor; Maria needs to go there to prepare, and she can have the surgery soon," Noah’s tone was clearly joyful.

"Really?" Yolanda imdiately turned her sorrow to joy, "That’s wonderful."

"Yes," Noah nodded, "Maria is lucky; if the surgery goes well, she could be back soon."

"It certainly will," Yolanda was overjoyed.

She spent another half-day in the hospital with Little Maria before seeing them off in the afternoon.

Edmund and Stella Sterling went together, and Noah Coldson also arranged for others to help take care of her.

At dinner, Yolanda received a WeChat ssage from Christopher Coldson, an invitation to the engagent party of Christopher Coldson and Sunny Coldson.

She sneakily glanced at Lola Gold, planning to sideline the ssage.

Unexpectedly, Christopher quickly sent another ssage.

[Ask Lola Gold if you can both co.]

"Jerk!" Yolanda cursed inwardly and glanced at Lola again.

"What’s up?" Lola sensed sothing was off.

Hesitating, Yolanda handed her phone to Lola, "Christopher Coldson sent an invitation."

"The day after tomorrow night?" Lola handed the phone back to Yolanda without changing expression, "Aren’t I supposed to accompany you for the prenatal checkup that day? We might not have ti."

"Yes." Yolanda packed away her phone, "Then I’ll just pretend I didn’t see it."

"There’s no need, Yolanda, you are still Cooper Coldson’s wife, and Christopher is your brother-in-law," Lola put down her chopsticks, "You could just reply that you are busy and can’t make it, no need to deliberately ignore him..."

Lola stood up, getting ready to leave, "It’s as if we care too much."

"Oh."

Over these many days, this was the first ti Lola had ntioned Christopher Coldson’s na; if she didn’t bring it up, Yolanda naturally wouldn’t either.

But Yolanda understood that this was a scar on Lola’s heart, only she was uncertain if it was slowly healing or growing worse.

Seeing Lola return to her room, Yolanda asked, "Are you going out again today?"

"Yes, I have sothing to do," Lola’s voice ca from the door.

Lately, Lola had been going out quite frequently, sotis returning with new bags or jewelry, clearly having been on dates.

But Yolanda wasn’t sure if she had a new boyfriend or... had t with those people from her streaming room.

After a mont’s thought, Yolanda went to Lola’s room door where Lola was putting on makeup.

"Lola," Yolanda began hesitantly, "have you been going on dates recently? Have you found a new boyfriend?"

"No, just so ordinary friends," Lola continued with her makeup.

She usually went makeup-free most of the ti, but now, made up, she looked more like Sunny.

Yolanda sighed, "What friends? How co you’ve never ntioned them to ?"

"They are people I t in the streaming room, we get along, so we just have a al together; nothing worth ntioning."

"Lola..."

"Yolanda!" Lola cut her off, "I’m really fine; with those people, it’s just eating and singing, not selling myself!"

"Lola, that’s not what I ant, I just..." Yolanda’s eyes reddened in frustration.

"Sweetie! Go back to eating. I really have to leave!"

Yolanda reluctantly closed her mouth and went back to eating.

On the day of the prenatal check, the weather was particularly good, and Yolanda had been taking extra care of her rest and diet lately, so the baby had grown a bit, and she was especially happy.

"At last, I’m relieved," Lola seed distracted since morning.

Yolanda took her hand, "Thank you, Lola."

"Silly girl."

The two left the hospital cheerily, only to unexpectedly encounter Cooper Coldson at the entrance.

Yolanda’s face drained of color, and she almost faltered.

Lola supported her promptly; she was still calm, "Yo, what a coincidence to et here."

Cooper Coldson stared intently at Yolanda, implying sothing, "Indeed, it’s surprising to et in such a place."

Yolanda gripped Lola’s hand tightly, not daring to look up at Cooper Coldson.

"You wouldn’t misunderstand anything, would you?" Lola suddenly smiled, "Don’t worry, the pregnant one isn’t Yolanda."

Both Yolanda and Cooper Coldson turned to look at Lola.

Lola remained unconcerned, "Can we leave now?"

"Wait a mont!" Cooper Coldson was still blocking their way, he glanced at Lola’s belly, "You aren’t carrying a Coldson Family child, are you?"

"What are you thinking? Are Coldson Family’s genes that outstanding? Any woman pregnant must be carrying a Coldson?"

Lola rolled her eyes and pulled Yolanda along, "Go ho and look in the mirror."

"Lola..." Yolanda was worried.

"It’s nothing, don’t bother with him." Lola hailed a cab.

After getting into the taxi, Yolanda looked back and saw Cooper Coldson making a phone call, which made her even more anxious.

"Cooper Coldson won’t tell Christopher Coldson that you are pregnant, will he?"

"So what if he does?" Lola was completely indifferent, "Anyway, by then I’ll just say I had it aborted, don’t worry."

Yolanda was still uneasy.

Indeed, Cooper Coldson did call Christopher Coldson, saying only one sentence, "I saw Lola Gold outside the maternity hospital."

On the other end, Christopher Coldson was at the Empire Grand Hotel, confirming the final details of the engagent party that evening.

Sunny saw his face darken after the call, "Christopher, who was that? What happened?"

"Sothing ca up, I have to go out," Christopher strode out hastily.

Sunny had an ominous feeling, not at ease, she cautioned him, "Co back soon, don’t delay the lucky hour."
