After saying this, Silas Prescott’s shoulders began to tremble uncontrollably.

The emotions suppressed in his heart for years finally broke free at this mont.

Tears soaked a large part of the pillow.

The pain in his heart didn’t lessen one bit.

He didn’t know how long it took for Silas’s emotions to slowly calm down, and he gently rubbed the Peaceful Bracelet that Sienna had given him with his fingertips.

In a hoarse voice, he said: "Sienna, they’ve all abandoned . Why did you leave too? But you clearly promised you’d always stay by my side. Why did you lie to your brother?"

Tears glimred in Silas’s dark eyes, which appeared even chillier under the refraction of the light.

He lay in bed, inhaling Sienna’s scent, slowly closing his eyes.

The familiar sll quickly lulled him into sleep.

He dreamt of himself as a child, when he was just ten years old.

He went to the amusent park with the butler and was taken away by bad people.

The kidnappers threatened him with a knife, making him call his parents to get money for his ransom.

At the ti, he was very scared, although he had never felt parental love from an early age.

But he still placed his hope in them.

Because he believed that he was, after all, their son, and they would never leave him to die.

He took the kidnapper’s phone and called his father first.

Hearing his father’s voice, he imdiately cried out, "Dad, save , they’re going to kill ."

He thought his father would be anxious and would certainly find a way to save him.

But he heard his father coldly say: "Silas, your brother has a fever and is hospitalized. How could you try all ways to get attention? I’ve never seen such a malicious child as you."

Hearing this, every bit of hope in Silas felt shattered on the ground.

Since childhood, his father never showed him any care. From birth, he was brought up by the butler, never experiencing parental love. Who was the real cold-hearted one?

Hearing these words, Silas stopped struggling, forcibly swallowing all his emotions.

He didn’t say another word.

The kidnapper, seeing this, snatched the phone and threatened: "Your son is in our hands. Within an hour, I want ten million in cash, or I’ll tear him up."

Even at that mont, Henry Prescott didn’t believe it. He snorted coldly, "Then do it. That child has never been what I wanted."

With that, he directly hung up the call.

Eventually, the kidnappers called his mother, but she said that she had to stay with her kitten, suggesting they seek out his father if necessary.

So, in a critical mont, Silas received no help from either of his parents.

At that ti, his grandfather was bedridden with a serious illness.

The kidnappers, unable to get any ransom, decided to tear the ticket.

They brutally stabbed Silas in the chest, taunting, "So what if you’re a Prescott? Neither your father nor your mother loves you. You’re better off dead."

At that mont, Silas felt a sharp pain in his chest.

Warm blood gushed out of his heart.

He lay in the cold snow, feeling the bone-chilling wind.

But none of this pain compared to the agony of being abandoned by his own parents.

As he closed his eyes, tears slipped from the corners.

He wasn’t sure how much ti passed before he heard soone calling him, but he no longer had the strength to respond.

The dream replayed several tis, his parents’ cold, piercing words echoing in his ears.

"If not for you, I wouldn’t have married your father. It’s because of you that my life is ruined. I’d rather love my kitten than you."

"Your brother is my son. You’re just a tool from my union with that woman. Don’t co to ; I won’t care for you."

These words played on repeat in Silas’s ears like a loop button was pressed.

Silas jerked awake from the dream.

Sweat had already soaked his clothes.

Tears also rolled down the corners of his eyes.

Lying in bed, Silas gently brushed a tear with his slender fingertips.

He couldn’t help but laugh.

Laughed so hard he could hardly breathe, like a madman.

His father loved his brother more, his mother loved her cat more.

He thought Sienna loved him.

So he did everything to keep her by his side.

But now it seed, even Sienna didn’t love him.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t have returned without eting him.

Thinking of this, Silas tightly gripped the bedsheet with both hands.

A sinister smile appeared in his bloodshot eyes.

"Sienna, this ti, brother won’t let you escape again."

He walked into the study, pressed a button on the wall, and the painting of mountains and rivers slowly opened to the sides.

It revealed photos of Sienna from various stages of her life.

He had taken them secretly, back when Sienna was so pure, her clear eyes full of fondness for him.

She liked him cautiously, afraid of being found out.

She even recorded their heart-to-heart conversations in her diary, the elegant words revealing a young girl’s secret crush.

Seeing these, he felt as if his long-cold heart was wrapped in warmth.

It turned out soone had cherished and loved him, held him in their heart.

This was a feeling he had never experienced before.

Growing up, his parents were cold to him, while his grandfather was always busy with business.

His world was only filled with ticulously arranged courses.

His sole identity was the future heir of the Prescott Family.

He never experienced the love of parents, nor the feeling of being held dear in soone’s heart.

So when he saw Sienna’s feelings towards him, it was as if a ray of sunlight entered his cold world.

In an instant, he felt like the world could be this warm.

He swore to hold onto this ray of sunlight, not letting her slip away from his world.

So when Sienna had just graduated, he seized the opportunity, using alcohol to deceive her into his grasp.

He feared she would attend college, seeing the world beyond, eting more people, causing her affection for him to wane.

He coaxed her into enrolling in the local dical university.

Even bought her this apartnt, making sure she returned ho daily.

But despite all this, Sienna still had many suitors.

He used all sorts of ans to eliminate them from her world one by one.

His love for Sienna was like sand in his palm; the tighter he held, the faster it slipped away.

At so point, Sienna started having thoughts of escaping from him.

This made him feel like his world was collapsing.

He absolutely couldn’t let his once warm world turn dark again.

He determined to keep her beside him.

But in the end, she still managed to escape.

Thinking back, an undeniable pain flashed in Silas’s dark eyes.

He took a photo of Chloe Nash from his pocket and placed it next to Sienna’s.
