Silas suddenly felt like he couldn’t breathe.

The knuckles gripping his phone turned cold and white.

His voice trembled: "When he ca to donate, was there any video footage?"

"There’s none in the office, but he took a cab here, and there are caras at the front gate."

"Alright, please check for if the footage is clear. I’ll head over right away."

After hanging up, Silas staggered backwards uncontrollably, slamming into the wall.

His eyes turned bloodshot.

That ’Sienna’ character was one Sienna Paxton designed herself—she said after she graduated, she’d use it to sign surgery reports.

If that signature really was Sienna’s, it ant Sienna was still alive.

This was the first hint Silas had received in years that Sienna might still be alive.

He didn’t know how to describe what he was feeling right now.

Excitent mixed deeply with sorrow.

If it really was Sienna, and she knew he had been looking for her all along, why would she still hide and refuse to see him?

Just how much did she hate him, to do sothing like this?

Silas glanced at Chloe, eyes still tinged with red.

An unbelievable thought flashed through his mind.

He walked over to Chloe and stroked Julian’s head a couple of tis: "Daddy has things to take care of. Can you eat with Dr. Nash?"

Julian nodded without hesitation.

Seeing his son agree so easily, Silas quickly gave Chloe a few instructions before hurriedly leaving.

Noticing the speed with which he was leaving, Jett, just stepping out, waved at him.

"President Prescott, don’t worry, I’ll keep an eye on your son for you."

He shot Chloe a mischievous glance. "Co on, let’s check on Auntie, then head to eat together."

Silas looked back at them, clenching his fist tightly.

But he still turned and left.

His mind was flooded with a single thought—he had to find out as soon as possible where Sienna really was.

Was she really alright?

She was just a doctor—how could she possibly have that much money to make a donation for Grandpa?

If she knew Grandpa was sick, that ant she had co to see him at so point.

Lost in these thoughts, Silas pressed the gas pedal even harder as he drove.

What should have been a one-hour drive, he finished in thirty-five minutes.

The director was already waiting for him at the gate.

Seeing him arrive, the director imdiately took him to the surveillance room.

They pulled up the footage showing the donor walking from the car to the office for Silas to watch.

The person was dressed in casual clothes, wearing a cap and mask, clearly presenting as a man.

The video wasn’t high-def, making it impossible to see their face clearly.

But from the build and the gait, Silas could tell—it was a woman dressed as a man.

Silas enlarged the footage, zooming in on the person’s face.

When he saw those eyes, Silas’s heart clenched hard.

Those were Sienna’s distinctive cat-like eyes—outer corners upturned, inner corners curved.

Back when they were together, to make things exciting, he’d once covered Sienna’s face with a gauze scarf.

What he rembered most from that was those very eyes.

The signature, plus those eyes—Silas was almost certain the donor was Sienna.

So she was still alive.

With that realization, the knot in Silas’s chest that had been there for years finally loosened a bit.

As long as Sienna was alive, he’d find a way to track her down.

He imdiately took out his phone and called Chase.

"Check this cab driver’s license plate for . I want to know where he picked up the person that afternoon."

Silas had just arrived back at his apartnt when Chase called.

"I found the car. The girl got in at the General Hospital. But the driver was in an accident the day before yesterday and is still in a coma. If you want detailed info, you’ll have to wait until he wakes up."

"Keep a close watch on this. I don’t want any slip-ups."

After hanging up, Silas couldn’t help but glance at Chloe, eyes deep and unreadable.

He said gently, "The lawyer has fully investigated your father’s case. There are even more people involved than we thought. This is going to be a tough lawsuit—maybe even make enemies in high places."

Chloe felt a sinking feeling at his words.

She quickly said, "Tell the lawyer, whatever he wants for paynt, I can give it—as long as he’ll take the case for my dad."

Silas fixed his eyes on her. "He wants a ten-million fee up front."

Hearing that figure, Chloe’s back stiffened instantly.

Even if she cashed in all her assets, she couldn’t co up with that much.

She looked at Silas, troubled: "Is there any way we can negotiate, maybe pay in installnts? I just don’t have that kind of cash right now."

Hearing this, a shadow flickered in Silas’s eyes.

"Didn’t I give you ten million as your dical consultation fee? You can use that for your father’s lawsuit."

Chloe’s heart squeezed tight.

She could absolutely not let Silas find out she’d donated that money.

She’d gone out of her way to pick an orphanage far away from here to donate to.

And not one supported by the Prescott Family.

She even disguised herself as a man.

She was sure Silas would never notice.

Chloe steadied herself: "My husband’s company was caught in a cash ergency, so I gave him the money."

Hearing this, Silas couldn’t hold back a laugh. "What kind of guy is Dr. Nash’s husband, anyway? Taking your money—are you sure he’s as good as you say, or have you been lying about him all along?"

Silas’s tone was even, not the least bit aggressive.

But to Chloe, every word was pressing in on her.

If Silas ever found out her ’husband’ was fake, he’d definitely start suspecting who she really was.

Chloe clenched her fingers tight. "Whatever kind of person he is, I know best. You don’t need to put him down like that. I’ll find a way to get the money."

Seeing her so protective of this other ’man,’ a faint shadow passed over Silas’s face.

But that look quickly disappeared.

He gave a small, apologetic smile. "Sorry, that was out of line."

As the car pulled up to Silas’s apartnt, Chloe’s phone began to ring.

Seeing who it was, she imdiately answered.

"Mom, what is it?"

Mrs. Nash spoke in a hushed voice: "Chloe, Albie and Fries are here, already in the hospital room. Why didn’t you go et them?"

The news made Chloe frown. "They told they were arriving tomorrow! I’ll co right away."

She hung up and grabbed her purse, ready to go. "My husband and son are here—I have to check on them. You stay with Julian."

The next second, Silas grabbed her wrist, lowered his head to look her in the eyes, and said, "Julian and I can go with you. I happen to want to et your husband, too."

There was a gentle smile on the man’s face, but those jet-black eyes held an unnerving sense of darkness and discord.

Even if he did nothing, Chloe still felt her skin crawl at his presence.

Chloe’s lashes fluttered in nervousness. "Julian needs to nap. I’ll introduce you another ti."

Silas ruffled Julian’s hair. "So, are you napping now, or going with Mom to see your brother?"

"See my brother." Julian answered without hesitation.

Chloe felt like ever since she got back, her brain cells were dying fast.

Every day felt like she was walking on the edge of a knife.
