Everyone turned at the sound, only to see Caden Sinclair’s black shirt collar slightly open.

Striding over with his long legs, those sharp black eyes swept a glance at Lucy Rhodes.

Then he ruffled Julian’s hair and said in a deep voice, "The bite marks on your aunt’s neck weren’t from a dog, they’re from . Look, I have one too—she bit . It’s called ’an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.’"

Lucy hadn’t expected Caden to follow her, let alone blurt all that out right in front of Sienna Paxton.

Julian had no clue what was going on, but Sienna was an adult—of course she could guess what happened between Lucy and Caden.

Lucy, annoyed, kicked Caden, "Caden Sinclair, are you seriously stalking ? And spouting nonsense in front of a kid?"

Caden tugged his collar wider, letting the suggestive marks on his neck show off even more.

He fixed his gaze on Lucy, dragging his words with a teasing lilt, "I ca to get an explanation. What do you an I’m not good enough?"

He bent down, leaned close to Lucy’s ear, and whispered so only the two of them could hear, "If I’m so ’not good’, why were you moaning so loud last night? You drained dry and then wanted to just toss a coin and leave—Lucy Rhodes, what am I, a beggar to you?"

The more he went on, the wilder he got, so Lucy quickly slapped her hand over his mouth: "Caden Sinclair, if you dare say one more word, I swear I’ll bite you to death."

"Go ahead, you already bit last night."

Just like that, a single sentence threw Lucy right back to last night’s scene in her mind.

Just thinking about it made her throat ache all over again.

She gritted her teeth in anger, "Caden Sinclair, just you wait."

Then she grabbed Julian’s little hand, "Julian, let’s go inside. Ignore that lunatic."

Julian blinked his big, shiny eyes and asked, "Auntie, what secret did Uncle Sinclair whisper to you? Why is your face so red?"

"Just nonsense, nothing worth listening to. Let’s go, ignore him."

As they went inside, Sienna finally turned her gaze on Caden Sinclair.

With a skeptical look, "You and Lucy..."

Caden nodded, "She slept with , and now she’s trying to ghost —just left a single coin. So humiliating! I won’t let her get away with it."

"So what’s your plan?"

"If I don’t get revenge, am I even a man?"

"That’s all?"

"What, you thought I’d fall in love with her?"

Caden sounded blasé, but Sienna knew—over the years, plenty of won had tried to sleep with him.

But he always shut them down ruthlessly.

Even colleagues he worked with all the ti.

He never spared anyone’s pride.

So why did he just let Lucy succeed so easily? Did Lucy have tricks other won didn’t, or did Caden simply lose control around her?

But everyone’s an adult; Sienna couldn’t ddle too much.

She just gently reminded, "Lucy’s my friend. Don’t hurt her."

Caden frowned, "Sienna, haven’t you noticed—I’m the one who’s hurt here! I’m your friend too. But instead of comforting , you side with her? Weren’t we supposed to be ride-or-die?"

Silas, who’d been quietly standing to the side, yanked Sienna to his side.

He shot Caden a cold glare, "Serves you right!"

Caden gritted his teeth, "If you didn’t say anything I would’ve forgotten all about you. Lucy Rhodes probably did all this at your orders, didn’t she? Just so Sienna Paxton will fall in love with you—you pretend to have amnesia, then let your own sister seduce your imaginary love rival. First she goes after , now you’re making her go after Nathaniel Thorne.

Silas Prescott, are you even a man? Sacrificing your own sister’s happiness just to chase a wife? Is there anyone shadier than you?"

At that, Silas stared at Sienna full of grievance.

Bounced her arm and said, "Sienna, he’s framing —I didn’t do it!"

Seeing his red eyes, Sienna quickly soothed him, "He’s just joking. I know you’re not like that."

Caden chuckled, "Sienna, you just believe him that easily? What if this whole thing is just one of his cons?"

Sienna looked into Silas’ innocent eyes, "Reports don’t lie."

She’d watched Caleb Langdon run tests on Silas herself; if there were no psychological issues, those reports wouldn’t look like that.

Unless Silas had professional training and could fool an actual psychologist.

But that was pretty much impossible.

Caden tapped her on the head, "You really are naïve. You’re no match for him—he’d sell you off and you’d help him count the money."

Hearing that, Silas hugged Sienna tight with nervous urgency: "I’d NEVER sell Sienna! When I get my mory back, I’m gonna marry her. Sienna, don’t listen to him—I won’t sell you, ever! I’ll treat you SO good!"

His gestures, his expression, everything like an innocent child.

Which made Sienna believe even more that Silas’ amnesia was real.

She gently stroked his back to comfort him, softly said, "Okay, okay, I believe you."

Seeing Silas like this, Caden deliberately provoked him: "Sienna, look, he’s lost his mory. Who knows if he’ll ever get better? How about you and get together while we wait? I’ll even help take care of him—after all, I’ve liked you for so many years."

Sienna frowned at him, "Don’t test him—if you push him too far, God knows what he’ll do."

"He’s basically a ten-year-old brat right now. Like I’d be scared of him."

Caden patted Silas on the shoulder, grinning mischievously, "So, what do you say? Sienna and I will look after you, but you need to call ’brother.’ Say it for right now."

Silas’ hands, hanging by his sides, instinctively clenched into fists.

The veins bulged on the back of his hands.

But his eyes were rimd red as he looked at Sienna, "Sienna, you’re my wife. Don’t be with him. I’ll get my mory back soon."

Sienna glared at Caden, "Stop scaring him. He just started to stabilize."

She patted Silas’ hand to reassure him, "Don’t worry, I won’t leave you. Let’s go inside, it’s ti for you to study."

Like a kid, Silas leaned against Sienna’s shoulder.

"Sienna, you’re so good. You’re really the best wife ever."

And then he shot Caden a smug little smile.

Pulled Sienna into the room.

Caden ground his teeth, "Sienna, don’t say I didn’t warn you—this guy is totally faking."

He followed Sienna inside.

Silas saw him co in, and a hint of sothing dark flashed in those black eyes.

He poured Caden a cup of tea and handed it to him, catching Caden by surprise.

Caden looked at Silas with a grin, "So polite! Now all you need is to call ’brother.’"

Silas didn’t mind in the slightest, "Brother, please have so tea."

Caden, pleased with himself, said, "Not bad. Keep calling that, alright?"

"Mmhmm, brother, hurry and drink before it gets cold."

Caden blew on it, drained the tea in one go.

Watching the once high-and-mighty Silas serve him tea and call him ’brother’—Caden couldn’t help but laugh aningfully.

If Silas really had amnesia, that was fine.

He could use this chance to ss with him a little; Silas had done Sienna dirty five years ago, after all.

Not long after that, Caden suddenly felt a sharp stomachache.

He dashed for the restroom in a hurry.

But soone was already in there, so he banged on the door and yelled, "Silas, are you done yet? I need to use the bathroom!"

Silas was at the sink, calmly drying his hands, wearing a wicked grin.

"Not yet, just wait a little longer."
