Nathaniel Thorne looked a bit puzzled. "You know ?"
Lucy Rhodes said excitedly, "Three years ago, I went to ridia to find my parents, and I ended up in a riot. A bunch of us were surrounded by rcenaries. You led a group in and rescued us. That’s right, I rember you."
Back then, she thought they were going to die there. It was rcenaries everywhere.
They even had weapons in their hands. Killing people ant nothing to them.
Just as she was losing all hope, she saw a group break through the barricade and charge toward them.
She rembered clearly that the leader was really handso.
Such a dashing iron-blooded soldier, with a beauty mark right at the corner of his eye.
After he rescued them, he was covered in blood. That beauty mark, mixed with all the blood, made her think of those battered, brooding male leads in comics.
She instantly beca a huge fan of this man back then.
She never expected they’d et again after a few years.
After hearing all this, Nathaniel Thorne just curled his lips lightly. "Well, that was a coincidence."
Listening to their conversation, Julian Prescott looked up at them like a miniature grown-up.
"Uncle and Auntie are actually reuniting after years apart! That’s aweso! This kind of plot is the most fun—and the most exciting."
Lucy Rhodes laughed and rubbed his head. "Where did you pick all this up?"
"My dad’s been watching short dramas, learning how to woo mom, so I tagged along and watched too. That’s how it is in all the dramas! Auntie, you and Uncle Nathaniel are really destined! Don’t let it slip by!"
Nathaniel Thorne was both amused and annoyed by him and gave his head a gentle flick. "Alright, I’ve t the person you wanted to et, so I’m off to work, or I’ll be late and get punished."
Julian Prescott nodded in understanding. "Okay, Uncle, stay safe! Be careful on assignnt, okay?"
"Geez, your little mouth is way too sweet."
"That’s because I’m mom’s baby, so of course I’m just like her!"
Seeing Nathaniel Thorne’s car drive away, he kept waving at the distance. "Uncle, co ho early! I’ll wait for you for dinner!"
Lucy Rhodes was just about to bend down and pick him up, but her legs suddenly turned to jelly, and she nearly fell over.
She couldn’t help but curse, "Damn bastard! You’ve made too weak to pick up Julian."
Julian Prescott looked at her curiously. "Auntie, who’s the damn bastard? How did he make it so you can’t lift ?"
"Nobody. Let’s just go upstairs."
The two of them went up hand in hand. Just as they passed Nathaniel Thorne’s door, they ran into Mrs. Thorne, who was taking out the trash.
Julian Prescott imdiately grinned and greeted her, "Grandma, I told you, this is my auntie! Isn’t she pretty? I wasn’t lying, right?"
Mrs. Thorne looked Lucy Rhodes up and down, noticing how slim and delicate the girl was.
And her eyes were gorgeous, even when she wasn’t smiling.
She bead with delight. "She really is lovely! Hurry upstairs. I’m heading to the market soon. I’ll make you sothing delicious for lunch."
Lucy Rhodes replied politely with a smile, "Thank you. See you in a bit."
Mrs. Thorne got so excited that she nearly tripped going downstairs.
She was in a fantastic mood.
Humming a little tune, she headed straight for the market.
Silas had been up early, sulking alone in the study for a long ti, until Sienna Paxton knocked on the door.
Only then did he finally co out.
Sienna Paxton peeked inside curiously. "What were you doing in there? Why were you in there for so long?"
Silas looked awkwardly at his own out-of-sorts body and stamred, "I—I think I’m sick. This... thing just won’t go down."
He pointed down at his lower body, and only then did Sienna Paxton catch on to what he ant.
She eyed him suspiciously. "Were you watching those nonsense dramas again?"
These days, all those short dramas are full of stuff kids shouldn’t be seeing. And Silas is only ten—if he sees things like that and his body reacts, it’s kinda normal.
After all, his body isn’t a kid’s anymore.
Silas hurriedly shook his head. "I didn’t! Since you said it’s no good, I deleted everything Lucy Rhodes sent . It’s just... all these weird images keep popping into my head. Like, I see you and kissing on the sofa, and even... doing that. Sienna, did we use to live here before?"
Sienna Paxton gave him a helpless smile.
Silas sotis rembered little flashes of the past. It was normal.
This was actually a good sign for his mory coming back.
But why were those particular ’ssy’ scenes between them the first ones he’d recall...?
She ruffled his hair. "Don’t worry, it’s normal, you’re not sick. We did live here before. But those things aren’t really for you at your age, so try not to dwell on them."
Silas nodded obediently. "Oh. But what should I do now? I can’t leave my room like this."
Sienna replied without hesitation, "Take a cold shower. I hear it works."
Silas took out his phone and handed it to Sienna. "This is what I found when I looked it up. It says there’s another way too. Sienna, can you help ?"
Sienna stared at the phone, and when she saw what was written, her cheeks instantly flushed bright red.
Back when she was with Silas, she’d helped him out like that plenty of tis.
Every ti, her hand ended up sore from it.
But now, Silas wasn’t mature enough ntally, so she couldn’t help him that way anymore.
After a few monts of hesitation, she said, "If you want to, you can do it yourself. It’s a normal response in adolescence—your body is already grown up, after all."
"Then... can you teach how?"
