Julian was bouncing up and down in Sienna’s arms.

He was simply beside himself with excitent.

He clearly was born to his mom, but so people liked to say he was born from another woman.

Every ti he heard that, he’d feel sad for a long while.

Dad obviously loved Mom so much—how could he possibly have a child with soone else?

Seeing him so excited, Sienna was a bit curious herself.

She stared at that photo, examining it closely.

She’d never seen a picture of Julian at one month old.

Last ti at the Prescott Family house, when she was looking at their photo albums, she hadn’t gotten a proper look at what little Julian was like one month in, before soone interrupted her.

But her own picture at a month old did look a lot like her lost son.

So that ant, when Julian was little, he looked a lot like her son.

No wonder, the first ti she t Julian, she had felt this inexplicable sense of déjà vu.

Could it all be fate?

Maybe heaven knew how much she missed her son, so it sent a child who looked just like him to her side.

Sienna lowered her head and kissed Julian’s cheek, smiling as she said, "Yes, Julian, you’re my child. But this is a photo of Mommy when she was little—not you."

Hearing this, Julian wrapped his arms around Sienna’s neck and kissed her again and again.

"I am Mommy’s kid! If anyone dares say I’m not, I’ll have the police arrest her!"

Watching this endless round of cuddles, Silas’s gaze darkened gradually.

His hands at his sides couldn’t help but curl into fists.

But that emotion flickered by and disappeared.

He joined them, pulling Sienna and Julian into a hug.

Following Julian’s example, he leaned over and kissed Sienna, smiling as he said, "That’s right. You’re the child Mom and I had—let anyone say otherwise, and I’ll break their legs."

The possessive note in his voice overlapped perfectly with how Silas used to be, in Sienna’s mory.

It made Sienna genuinely unsure how old Silas really was right now.

Just as Sienna was puzzling over it, she heard Julian pipe up, "Daddy, you should kiss Mommy’s lips. The kids at preschool said, when Daddy and Mommy kiss, you can have a little sister. I really want a little sister!"

The little guy hung on to Sienna’s neck with one hand and Silas’s with the other.

He tugged hard, pulling their faces together.

Their breaths mingled and beca one.

Sienna stared into Silas’s eyes, which seed clear and innocent.

She wanted to see what Silas—with the emotional intelligence of a ten-year-old—would do next.

Their eyes t, their breathing tangled together.

For two people who once loved each other so deeply, neither could resist the pull.

Silas gazed at the bridge of Sienna’s nose, his voice husky.

"Sienna, what does kissing taste like? Did we use to do that? Will you show ? It’ll help get my mory back."

Sienna refused instantly: "Silas, you’re ten years old right now—this isn’t appropriate."

"Then when is it appropriate?"

"When you’re mature. Otherwise it’s not good for you, physically or emotionally."

Silas stared at Sienna’s soft, plump lips, his Adam’s apple bobbing several tis.

He forced himself to push down the feelings inside, obediently nodding. "I’ll recover my mory as soon as I can, Sienna. Wait for ."

His eyes were pure and bright, yet Sienna still glimpsed a flicker of desire there that didn’t belong to a child his age.

Sienna couldn’t tell whether Silas had rembered sothing, or if he was just precocious.

She tried probing: "Silas, do you really want to kiss right now?"

At her words, Silas was startled and shook his head quickly. "No, I just want my mory back so I can take responsibility for you—I hate that you have to look after Julian and . I feel kinda sorry."

His voice was so sincere and deep, Sienna’s doubts started to lt away.

She ruffled Silas’s hair gently. "Don’t rush it. If you push too hard, it’ll backfire. We can take it slow, follow our feelings... This ti, I’ll walk with you out of the darkness."

When she said that, Silas hurried to hug her tight.

His chin rested on Sienna’s shoulder, like a gentle little pup.

"Sienna, to help rember sooner, I want to sleep with you. Please?"

"Aren’t you worried I might take advantage of you?"

"Nope, I know you’re the best to ."

"Then go wash up. The three of us can sleep together tonight."

Hearing that, Julian clapped his little hands joyfully: "Yay! Our family of three, all together on one bed, so happy! Daddy, let’s go wash up!"

While Sienna wasn’t paying attention, Silas shot Julian a fierce glare.

Once they were in the bathroom, he muttered, "Didn’t you promise you’d sleep alone? Why’d you go back on it?"

Julian blinked his big eyes and said, "Because Mommy asked to keep her company. I couldn’t say no!"

When they climbed into bed, Julian lay between Silas and Sienna.

Listening to Sienna’s lovely singing, he drifted off to sleep.

Sienna kissed his chubby cheek and whispered, "Good night, sweetheart."

She was just about to lie down herself when Silas said, "Sienna, you haven’t kissed yet—or said goodnight."

Seeing him act so jealous and needy, Sienna couldn’t help but laugh.

She pinched Silas’s chin. "Silas, you’re even cuter now than you used to be."

Silas blinked his big eyes a few tis. "So which do you like better?"

"This version of you."

"If you like so much, hurry up and give a kiss! Once I get my mory back, you’ll miss your chance."

"Good point. Better not waste it."

Sienna kissed Silas’s cheek with a smack, smiling: "Good night, honey."

He waited ages to hear those words, and finally a beautiful smile curled on Silas’s lips.

His Adam’s apple bobbed a little: "Good night, sweetheart."

The light in the room dimd, and the quiet night slipped into sleep mode.

Silas, who had just been sound asleep, slowly sat up.

He shifted Julian to the far side, pulling Sienna into his arms.

He bent down and kissed Sienna’s soft lips. He ant to just hold her while sleeping, but the beast inside him refused to be controlled.

In the end, it broke free.

In the depths of Silas Prescott’s dark eyes, desire roiled, unable to be suppressed.

His voice was low and hoarse: "Sienna, I can’t hold back. Just one kiss, please?"

As soon as he finished, he captured Sienna’s soft lips in his mouth, kissing her greedily, drinking her in.
