Silas only told him that Chloe Nash is actually Sienna Paxton, and nothing more.

But Old Master Prescott is no fool.

Sienna Paxton is not soone who acts on impulse. If she wanted to beco a Doctors Without Borders volunteer, there was no need to hide it from the family.

Unless she had no other choice, not wanting anyone to find her.

And the root cause of this decision, anyone could guess, was his grandson.

From the day he announced in front of everyone that Sienna Paxton was his white moonlight, Old Master Prescott understood the reason why Sienna ran away from ho.

Silas did not argue but obediently nodded, "Alright, I’ll go kneel."

With that, he headed towards the ancestral hall.

Old Master Prescott, feeling guilty towards Sienna, patted the back of her hand and said, "You don’t need to feel sorry for him. He nearly got you killed in the war zone. Letting him kneel for a few days in the ancestral hall is lenient; I ought to apply the family law."

Faced with Old Master Prescott’s favoritism, Sienna felt a pang in her throat.

In a hoarse voice, she said, "Grandfather, I also made mistakes. I was the one who fell for him without regard for my identity first."

Hearing this, Old Master Prescott furrowed his eyebrows, "Who has a status as noble as yours? Your grandfather was once a hero on the battlefield, your uncle gave his life for the country at twenty, and your father was injured protecting the people; otherwise, he wouldn’t have passed away so early. Your whole family is loyal and true. If we’re talking about family background, it’s Silas who doesn’t match up to you.

It’s my fault for being blind, not realizing you two had been together for a while. Otherwise, I would have arranged the marriage much earlier.

Sienna, I don’t know what exactly happened between you and Silas back then, but grandfather wants to tell you that if you still have him in your heart, no one can stop you two, and your grandfather will stand by you. If anyone dares to block you, I’ll break their legs."

Hearing this, Sienna’s eyes brimd with tears as she looked at Old Master Prescott, "Grandfather, I’m sorry. You raised , and I shouldn’t have fallen for Brother Silas. If I hadn’t co to the Prescott family, none of this would have happened, and Brother Silas wouldn’t be in such pain, and you wouldn’t worry about either."

Old Master Prescott spoke earnestly, "It’s all destiny; you and Silas are ant to have this fate. How far it can go, I don’t know either, but grandfather hopes you can help Silas. This child lacked love from a young age. I can see he’s sincere with you; otherwise, he wouldn’t have searched for you for five years. It’s just that the hurt his parents caused him as a child made him not know how to love soone. Perhaps he hurt you because of this."

Lucy Rhodes, with reddened eyes, looked at Sienna, "Sienna, my brother is very pitiful. Only you can help him. I really hope you can be my sister-in-law, so we can be together every day."

She wrapped her arm around Sienna’s and rested her head on her shoulder.

Just like in their youth, always leaning on each other like this.

Sharing the secrets of their teenage years.

Back then, Sienna hid her crush on Silas very well, so much so that Lucy didn’t pick up on any clues.

And as for Silas’ childhood experiences, Lucy never ntioned a word to her.

Sienna found it hard to imagine that Lucy, who was always straightforward, could keep such a sensitive secret from her.

So, from this, Sienna could easily deduce that Silas must have gone through unimaginable hardships as a child.

Thinking of this, Sienna hesitated for a few seconds and asked, "Grandfather, what kind of harm did Brother Silas endure as a child? If possible, can you tell about it?"

She helped Old Master Prescott to sit on the sofa and poured him a cup of hot tea.

Sitting obediently across from him, she quietly waited for Old Master Prescott to speak.

The tea was very hot, and it made Old Master Prescott’s eyes moist.

He slowly blew on the tea to cool it down and sipped it little by little.

During this ti, the living room was extrely silent, and one could even hear Old Master Prescott swallowing the tea.

After who knows how long, Old Master Prescott finally set down the teacup.

His eyes reddened as he looked at Sienna.

"This incident is a taboo in the family. Since that day, no one dares to ntion it at ho for fear of unearthing Silas’ scars.

He was ten years old when he was kidnapped. I was abroad on business at the ti. The kidnappers asked him to call ho for ransom money.

He called his parents. One said the youngest son had a fever and couldn’t go, and the other said a pet cat was having kittens and didn’t bother. In the end, Silas was almost killed by the kidnappers, a knife plunged into his heart.

Fortunately, his heart was slightly off-center compared to normal, so he narrowly survived.

But after that incident, Silas beca silent, unwilling to communicate with people. He focused solely on frantically studying various subjects.

To , he seed like a living dead person. He appeared alive, but his heart seed dead.

Every day, he filled his schedule to the brim. I knew he was in pain, being abandoned by his biological parents at such a critical mont in life. No one could endure that blow.

Thankfully, he persevered. As ti went by, he gradually started to let go of the incident, slowly returning to normal.

Perhaps what I saw was just the surface; maybe he still can’t get over it inside.

Sienna, you might be the one to help him overco it."

Upon hearing these words, Sienna couldn’t stop her tears from falling.

It was as if she saw her younger self.

When her mother saw her father injured, she left behind a divorce agreent and left.

Back then, she chased after the car for a long way, calling out ’mom’ as she ran.

She so dearly hoped her mother would stay for her sake and take care of her father.

But her mother never looked back, leaving her alone crying in the snow.

She was only three years old then; her mory wasn’t very clear, but thinking back still brought a stab to her heart.

But Silas was ten years old at that ti, a boy who understood everything.

He was abandoned by his biological parents just like that, disregarding his life or death.

That’s why to this day he dislikes cats, why he doesn’t believe in anyone’s love.

No matter how many tis she says she loves him, he still feels no security.

He thinks he can only feel secure by keeping her close.

As it turns out, he had always been afraid of losing her, clinging to his only love, which is why he acted that way with her.

She couldn’t imagine how heartbroken Silas must have been when he found out she ran away five years ago.

Did he feel no one in the world loved him?

Thinking of Silas carving her na over his heart, Sienna felt as if the knife was carving into her own heart.

The excruciating pain left her trembling all over.

Only after a long while did her emotions gradually calm down.

She went upstairs, washed her face, changed her clothes, and walked towards the ancestral hall.

Silas, who was kneeling on the ground, suddenly heard the sound of a door opening behind him.

He thought it was the butler sneaking in to bring him food, but in the next second, he heard a familiar voice.

"Brother."

Upon hearing this voice, Silas turned sharply. In the light and shadow, he saw a girl in white walking towards him.
