Chloe Nash wanted to sever ties with him and terminate the agreent.
Yet she was all smiles with these people, even accepting the gifts they gave her.
Silas Prescott couldn’t help but clench his fists.
Watching Chloe raise her glass in celebration with them, seeing her being surrounded like a treasured pet, Silas was on the verge of insanity with jealousy.
Only he could pamper his woman, no one else.
He was about to rush over and pull Chloe to his side when her words echoed in his head.
"If you say that again, we’ll terminate the agreent."
The consequence of terminating the agreent would be Chloe leaving him and their son, returning to her ho country alone.
Never to return again.
The thought of this possibility forced the possessive Silas to suppress his anger.
He gave Chloe a sinister smile: "Chloe, I’ll rember this debt."
He turned around with a cold deanor and headed to the restroom.
But the gloom in his heart wouldn’t subside; he took out a cigarette and lit it.
Taking several harsh puffs did nothing to improve his mood.
His mind was filled with images of Chloe laughing with others.
He stood in the corridor for a long ti, and several cigarette butts had already accumulated in the trash can beside him.
Just then, he heard the sound of high heels clicking on the floor.
As he looked up, he saw Chloe walking towards him, her face slightly flushed.
Silas imdiately stubbed out the cigarette, and as Chloe walked past him, he pulled her back forcefully.
With a swift turn, he pinned her against the cold wall.
His sharp eyes were ablaze with fire, and his lips twitched slightly.
His voice, hoarse from smoke, said: "Dr. Nash, was the red wine good, the salmon tasty, the perfu fragrant?"
As he spoke, his unnaturally handso face leaned closer to Chloe.
His eyes roiling like a storm, as if ready to engulf her any second.
Chloe glared at him irritably: "Silas Prescott, are you stalking ?"
Silas chuckled softly: "Do I need to stalk you? You’ve been chatting and laughing with people, and I stood at the door watching you for so long, and you didn’t even notice. Chloe, am I so insignificant in your eyes that those people outshine ?"
The thought of Chloe being so cold to him, yet so warm to those others, made a smothering anger rise up his spine.
If she were Sienna, he would not hesitate to kiss her breathless.
Kiss her until she went limp in his arms, begging for forgiveness.
Sienna was his, and he allowed no one, not even friends, to co close.
But now, he dared not do anything, only helplessly questioning her with bloodshot eyes.
Silas struck the wall hard with his fist, blood seeping from his knuckles.
Seeing him like this, Chloe’s heart skipped a beat with fear.
Why was it that even though she was Chloe, Silas still had such a strong possessiveness over her?
Had he discovered sothing?
Chloe feigned calmness as she looked at Silas: "President Prescott, I am Chloe, not Sienna who listens to your every command. I have my circle of friends, my work; you have no right to interfere."
Upon hearing this, Silas’s profound gaze flickered.
A subtle, ambiguous smile appeared on his lips: "How do you know Sienna listens to my every word? Do you know her? Or are you..."
Before he could finish, Chloe interrupted him.
"I’m not her. I rely guessed from the way you treat . Whether it’s Sienna or , you have no right to control us this way. We are independent individuals, not soone’s appendage. We have our own space, and if you confine anyone in an airtight place, they’ll suffocate eventually."
These were words Sienna had always wanted to say to Silas, but she never dared to back then.
Now, emboldened by being Chloe, confident that Silas wouldn’t dare do anything to her, she said it aloud.
But due to the shadow of past traumas, after saying those words, Chloe’s fingertips felt cold.
Just as she was unsure if Silas would react like he used to, she suddenly heard Caden Sinclair’s voice from behind.
"Chloe, what are you doing?"
Hearing this voice, Chloe felt like she’d seen a savior.
She pushed Silas away and ran to Caden’s side.
Caden looked at her with concern: "Did he bully you? Tell , and I’ll beat the crap out of him right now."
Caden was soone who was reckless in fights, back on the battlefield, seeing Chloe being bullied, he almost beat the perpetrator to death.
Chloe, frightened, hurriedly grabbed his arm and shook her head: "No, let’s just go."
She tugged Caden’s arm, leading him back to the private room.
Caden relentlessly glanced back at Silas: "If you dare to touch her, I’ll kill you."
This was sothing Silas used to say to other n often.
"If you approach Sienna again, I’ll make your life a living hell."
Now, he was threatened in the sa manner by another man.
Silas let out a sinister laugh from his throat.
Chloe’s words had deeply stung him, and combined with Caden’s threat, he felt like an inflated balloon ready to burst.
He returned to the room, picked up a glass, and drank several in succession.
Stella Sterling, seeing him in this state, quickly approached to pour him more wine.
Watching Silas drank himself into a stupor, Stella’s eyes glead with satisfaction.
She deliberately sent Chase Hughes away and then leaned on Silas’s arm, pretending to be Chloe: "Silas Prescott, you’ve had too much to drink. Let take you ho."
Hearing this voice, a drunken Silas looked at her through bleary eyes: "Chloe, you’re heartless. I’ve been so good to you, yet you’re so cold to ."
Seeing him like this, Stella was elated, imdiately coaxing in a gentle tone: "Okay, I won’t be so cold to you anymore. Let take you ho, alright?"
The two stumbled back to the hotel, and just as Stella was about to enter, Silas suddenly sobered up.
He pushed Stella away, his voice icy: "Who told you to touch ? Get out!"
After saying that, he staggered to Chloe’s room door and knocked forcefully a few tis.
When the door opened, the man who’d been yelling at Stella monts ago was now like a sheepish puppy, lunging into Chloe’s embrace.
His voice soft and feeble: "Chloe, I drank too much, my head hurts."
