Adrian Grant repeated her na over and over again, filled with endless longing.

Eleanor Winslow’s eyelashes trembled slightly, feeling a discomfort in her heart.

"Adrian Grant, wake up!"

Eleanor raised her voice a bit, gently patting his face, trying to wake him up.

After a full minute, the man reopened his eyes and looked at her.

His eyes were exceptionally deep, but with a layer of drunken moisture, adding a touch of gentleness to those Ray eyes. Yet his handso face remained expressionless, cold and intimidating. The extre contradiction was alarming.

Eleanor was taken aback; Adrian Grant had never looked at her with such eyes.

Quickly, the next second, he returned to his usual indifferent appearance.

Adrian Grant averted his gaze, pinching Eleanor’s waist, moving her off him to the side, then picked up a glass of wine and poured it into his mouth.

Eleanor felt a weight lifted off her and was moved to a different place, sowhat dazed.

Then she looked at the man who steadily moved her: "Adrian Grant, are you sober?"

Adrian Grant didn’t answer or look at her, but his drinking motion paused for a mont.

"Your stomach isn’t good, stop drinking." Eleanor removed the wine, "Where are you going back to? I’ll get soone to take you ho."

Adrian Grant had several properties in Aethelgard, and usually there was a backup house prepared in places he frequently visited.

"None of your business." Adrian Grant refused coldly.

Eleanor rolled her eyes, took the wine from his hand, feeling difficult.

"Adrian Grant, Lance Lowell asked to take you back, I have the obligation to arrange you safely!"

"What obligation do you have?" Adrian Grant suddenly lifted his head.

Eleanor: "..."

"If you say it’s the obligation of a wife, I’ll go ho with you."

"..."

Eleanor turned and found a bartender: "Take his wine away, watch him, send him to this address, arrange soone to take care of him."

Eleanor gave Adrian Grant the address of a recent house, along with a tip for the bartender.

"Sure sure!" The bartender busily nodded, "May I ask, are you this guest’s?"

"Wife."

In this circle, it’s common for couples to be estranged, not to ntion wives finding soone to send husbands back or even finding won for husbands.

The bartender asked: "What kind of person would you like? Any gender requirent?"

Eleanor: "..."

Isn’t it just asking whether it’s safe or a bed companion?

Eleanor said: "No gender requirent, but they need to keep their mouth shut, and not be clever."

The bartender readily agreed.

Once Eleanor left, the man on the sofa stopped drinking and watched her.

Until the woman’s silhouette disappeared completely through the crowd and out the door, he retracted his gaze and took another sip of wine.

"Sir, I found soone to send—"

Before the bartender could finish, Adrian Grant stood up, his gaze cold and daunting, making the bartender dare not speak.

"Call her in an hour."

Eleanor received a ssage from the bartender less than an hour after getting ho, saying he had safely sent him ho.

Eleanor felt a mont of doubt.

Adrian Grant being so obedient, returned so quickly? His deanor earlier hardly seed obedient?

She shook her head, controlling herself not to think too much, not to care excessively.

Two days later.

Eleanor received a phone call: "Mrs. Grant, I’m President Grant’s private lawyer, President Grant said you want to discuss divorce matters with , correct?"

Eleanor hadn’t expected the lawyer to call her so soon, feeling a bit incredulous.

Only after sitting with Adrian Grant’s lawyer in a café did it feel real.

"This is the property division contract, have a look."

Eleanor didn’t open the contract to look: "I don’t need it."

Eleanor just wanted to quickly complete all the procedures; property division would only slow down the divorce process.

"President Grant said it’s necessary; he doesn’t shortchange people." The lawyer said.

Eleanor frowned slightly, still wanting swift resolution. After thinking, she directly opened the divorce agreent and signed her na.

If property division couldn’t reach consensus, questioning it may drag on indefinitely.

"Mrs., aren’t you going to look at it?" The lawyer was surprised Eleanor directly signed.

"He wouldn’t do anything to burden with debts, as for assets, I don’t care."

Two people discussing divorce, one proactively dividing assets for the other, while the other trusted the partner to not even look at the divorce agreent; the lawyer had never seen such a situation.

"President Grant has given you twelve properties, six dostic, six in countries you frequently visit, along with stocks and cash from Grant Group, and so jewelry."

"There’s foreign property too?" Eleanor felt sowhat uncomfortable, "I can do without those, they aren’t useful."

The lawyer professionally smiled: "Mrs., this was decided by President Grant; if you have objections, it’s advised to discuss with President Grant."

President Grant’s requirent was to provide Mrs. Grant with practical assets she could use, preferably those requiring extended procedures.

Transferring foreign assets is troubleso, so is transferring stocks.

"...Forget it, let it be." She didn’t want to discuss with Adrian Grant.

Eleanor comforted herself, at least she signed the divorce agreent, officially making the first step.

-

"President Grant, Mrs. Grant signed." The lawyer handed copies of the signed divorce agreent to Adrian Grant, "She has no objection to the property division."

Adrian Grant acknowledged with a hum, placing the divorce agreent into the drawer without a glance.

The lawyer reminded: "President Grant, this divorce agreent hasn’t been signed by you yet, it requires your signature to take effect."

"I know."

The divorce agreent needs signatures from both spouses; now Eleanor signed, but he hadn’t.

"If Mrs. Grant asks about the progress..."

"Continue with the property transfer procedures, you figure out the rest."

Don’t let Eleanor find out, Adrian Grant never intended to divorce, wants to pretend the divorce process is proceeding orderly, just taking a long ti.

The lawyer was montarily stunned before realizing Adrian Grant’s intention, montarily unsure how to feel.

Other wealthy individuals divorced fearing more money slipping through their fingers.

This gentleman, however, actively sends gifts—in large quantities!
