Eleanor: "..."

Back ho and already pushing for a baby, it’s terrifying!

She instinctively looked at Adrian Grant.

They’re getting a divorce, why have a child!

Adrian happened to turn his head to look sowhere else, as if he hadn’t received Eleanor’s signal for help.

"Grandma, we don’t have such plans for now..." Eleanor’s awkward smile was barely holding up.

Old Madam Grant imdiately looked heartbroken: "Eleanor, you know, Grandma isn’t in good health, I’m afraid one day I’ll close my eyes and never open them again. I’m just scared I’ll never get the chance to see the great-grandchildren you and Adrian give !"

"Grandma, don’t say that, you’ll definitely live a long life!"

Eleanor wanted to say that hoping for her and Adrian to give birth, that really might not be possible!

With soone else, maybe it’s possible.

Old Madam Grant held Eleanor’s hand, looking extrely pitiful, gazing at Eleanor: "Eleanor, my birthday wish this year is to hold a great-grandson or granddaughter, can’t you pity this old lady just a bit?"

"Grandma..." Eleanor was feeling a bit overwheld.

"Alright, stop acting." Adrian Grant had watched enough of the drama and finally intervened slowly, cutting off Old Madam Grant, "Eleanor’s still young, not having kids."

Old Madam Grant’s pitiful look vanished instantly, she gave her grandson a fierce glare: "The third one!"

It was unclear if she was reprimanding Adrian for the first part ’stop acting,’ or for the second part ’not having kids.’

Old Madam Grant leaned closer to Eleanor’s ear, pointed at Adrian Grant, and whispered: "Eleanor, be honest with Grandma, is it because he’s too busy with work, no ti? I can have him take more vacation, co ho more at night to be with you!"

Eleanor nearly lost her breath, couldn’t help but glare widely at Adrian.

No ti?

Adrian had been diligent enough before!

He could easily make one night feel like two, five tis in a night was no problem!

And, it doesn’t necessarily have to be at night!

Adrian’s eyes flashed with a barely discernible smile, his usual slight smile seed more pronounced now, it wasn’t easily visible, yet it added a touch of liveliness to him.

Mysteriously, Eleanor always felt that this dog of a man Adrian was now... a bit smug?

She imdiately withdrew her gaze, those indecent images made her ears feel a bit hot.

Eleanor tried to find an excuse: "Grandma, I’m still in school, it’s not suitable to have a child now."

Old Madam Grant grumbled discontentedly: "Married for three years and still no children, busybodies might say there’s sothing wrong with you two."

Adrian Grant is the future head of the Grant Family, many eyes both inside and outside are watching him, not having children could beco a flaw on his path to power.

Actually, in those first two years of marriage, Eleanor had full love and admiration for Adrian, she even thought, if they had a baby, they’d keep it.

But who knew, in those two years, Adrian almost never gave them a chance to et. And in every encounter after, Adrian would be prepared with asures.

Afraid she might get pregnant or sothing.

Eleanor understood, Adrian didn’t love her, didn’t want her to give birth to their baby.

Adrian carelessly said, "If asked, just say I have problems, can’t have kids."

Eleanor: "..."

"You little rascal!" Old Madam Grant wanted to raise her cane to hit him.

No sooner had she spoken than soone ca to call Adrian Grant, saying the Old Master was looking for him.

"Get out of here! Eleanor stays here with !" Old Madam Grant grabbed Eleanor and said, "Darling, you must ensure your husband listens to you when you go back! He’s not obedient at all!"

Before Adrian left, he quickly glanced at Eleanor. Her attention was entirely on Old Madam Grant, not caring about him at all.

"Old Madam’s just joking, how can Eleanor control Adrian?" a lady said with a laugh, "You see, she’s not even wearing her wedding ring, I just fear those divorce rumors are true."

Speaking was Adrian Grant’s Aunt, who had specially brought her grandson back today to please the Old Madam, yet with Eleanor back, her grandson wasn’t welco anymore!

Everyone looked at Eleanor’s fingers, both hands were empty, no rings. People’s gazes at Eleanor beca more curious and speculative.

Old Madam Grant’s face turned cold, glaring at Aunt Grant.

"Eleanor, is there really sothing wrong between you and Adrian?" Old Madam Grant nervously held Eleanor’s hands, "Tell Grandma the truth!"

"Grandma, that ring is too flashy, I took it off a few days ago at work and forgot to put it back on," Eleanor raised her left hand, shaking her wrist, answering without addressing, changing the concept, "See, I’m wearing the bracelet Adrian gave , don’t overthink."

"Good girl, if Adrian bullies you, you tell Grandma, Grandma will make it right for you!"

Eleanor’s heart felt sour, nodded and agreed.

Since Eleanor ca, Old Madam Grant mostly spoke with her and specifically had the servants bring her favorite snacks.

The better Old Madam Grant treated her, the more guilty Eleanor felt.

In between finding an excuse to go out for so air, Eleanor heard whispers at the corner:

"Didn’t our family give her a great-grandchild? It’s as if only Adrian’s counts as theirs!"

"What’s so special about Adrian and Eleanor, one is aloof, the other fake, yet both the Old Master and Madam dote on them!"

"If Adrian weren’t raised personally by the Old Master, it’s doubtful he could’ve gotten this far! Lucky him!"

"Second Aunt, Aunt."

Eleanor’s words startled the two, clutching their chests and gasping.

"Ah, Eleanor..." Second Aunt Grant awkwardly looked at Eleanor, "When did you co?"

Eleanor smiled and said, "When you were talking about the Madam’s favoritism towards Adrian and ."

Second Aunt Grant and Aunt Grant exchanged an awkward glance.

"Second Aunt, Aunt, including both your families, how many in the Grant Family enjoy the benefits from Adrian’s tireless work? If you don’t recognize Adrian’s contributions, who among you can do better? Who dares to say they can do better than Adrian?"

Divorcing Adrian was one thing, but that doesn’t an Eleanor could let these people freely criticize Adrian!

Aunt Grant had disliked Eleanor for a long ti, she snorted, looked Eleanor up and down with disdain:

"Eleanor, you defend Adrian so much, did he even like you a little? After all these years, you’re still so shalessly throwing yourself at him!"
