Chapter 379: Chapter 379 A Small Encounter to Showcase Strength (3)

“Where are the supplies?” Fan Zeyang imdiately asked.

“In the space,” Ye Nai replied concisely.

“And the people?” Fan Zeyang continued to inquire.

“Released them. All the supplies are gone; I’m not keeping any prisoners,” Ye Nai shrugged.

“Really released them?” Fan Zeyang still had so doubts.

“Really released them. You can still see a lot of footprints left in the sand at the camp’s gate, all leading out,” Ye Nai confird.

“Is there really no one left? Are you sure no one sneaked back in? After all, military camps are good houses, aren’t they?”

Fan Zeyang, still a bit uneasy, asked as the deputy minister of the Combat Departnt needed to ensure a clear and accurate understanding of all situations and be responsible for his work.

“There really is no one. The territory I captured, I’m sure it’s absolutely safe,” Ye Nai’s expression was firm, and his tone left no room for doubt.

Joking, if she couldn’t defend the territory she captured, it wouldn’t reflect her spore’s ability, then why fight at all?

“Absolutely safe? So confident?”

“Uh-huh.”

“Then shall we take a walk around?” Fan Zeyang slightly eased up, imdiately suggesting.

“Sure, where to first?” Ye Nai nodded.

“Let’s start from the gate and slowly walk in. Just the thing for my secretary to draw a map,” Fan Zeyang said without hesitation.

“It’s just right for five of us,” Ye Nai said as a military off-road vehicle suddenly appeared behind her, a vehicle that had traveled with her for over four years in the Otherworld, leaving marks on its body, “Shall we ride?”

“Oh wow, your car has really seen much,” Fan Zeyang remarked, looking at the vehicle in amazent.

“Yes, it’s been through a lot with in the Otherworld. The car tires even had to be replaced once. Luckily I had two spare ones,” Ye Nai patted the car body as if seeing an old friend.

“Did the tires blow out? What happened to you?” Not only Fan Zeyang was curious, but Camp Commander Lin and the other three were also curious.

Recalling the events, Ye Nai began speaking.

“Nothing much, just so adventurers found my location and surrounded . There were warriors and wizards; I was too busy escaping to see how many there were. When rushing out, the wizards buffed the warriors, who broke the tires, but I still managed to get out.”

As Ye Nai continued narrating, she led them around to the back of the car, pointing at a noticeable knife mark on the right rear of the car.

“There, that’s the knife mark from back then. You can tell, right? This tire is noticeably newer.”

“This strike was fierce, slicing through the steel plate,” Camp Commander Lin observed the knife mark closely, filled with wonder.

“Yeah, to be able to run like this after such a cut, clearly shows the sturdiness of military vehicles,” Ye Nai nodded, her eyes full of admiration for the car.

“No worries, I’ll get you a new one when we get back,” Fan Zeyang generously promised.

“Ah, thank you, Deputy Minister.”

Ye Nai’s face bead with a smile, she hadn’t expected such a developnt when she brought out the car, she rely intended to use it for transportation given the military camp’s large area; walking by foot would be impractical.

The five of them returned to the car door, Ye Nai took the driver’s seat, the secretary who needed to draw sat in the passenger seat, and at the back seat, Fan Zeyang sat in the middle, with the staff officer on the right and Camp Commander Lin on the left.

Ye Nai started the vehicle, slowly driving out of the field.

She first drove to the camp’s gate, intending to use it as a starting point for circling the entire camp.

Upon reaching here, Ye Nai specially instructed them to observe the ground, indeed finding many footprints not entirely visible due to dust, all leading outwards.

During the journey, Ye Nai drove and softly explained their current location to the secretary.

The secretary folded his small laptop in reverse, instantly transforming the screen into a handwriting pad, then began scribbling away.

As the logistical headquarters of Selsa Country’s military, it occupied an imnsely large area, with the warehouse district taking up half of it.

However, at this mont, they were more focused on the thick layer of dust everywhere within the camp.

Accumulating dust was ordinary; because of the ti difference, Ye Nai had been running around the Otherworld for over four years, with this camp covered and controlled by her fungal blanket for over four years without any outsiders entering; naturally presenting a scene of long negligence.

“This camp is indeed vast, capable of accommodating many people,” Fan Zeyang remarked while looking at the expansive camp outside the window, filled with emotion.

“Deploying forces to rest here is a good spot temporarily,” the staff officer nodded slightly in agreent.

Camp Commander Lin, silently listening beside them, felt a growing excitent in his heart.

Though they hadn’t gotten any concrete information, at this mont, he had so considerations in his mind.

It seed a massive counterattack was imminent.

After completing the round, everyone returned to the gate, where the secretary had also finished drawing the map.

Fan Zeyang, looking at the weed-grown but evidently wide road outside the gate, felt an overwhelming urge to see beyond.

“Where does the road outside lead?” Fan Zeyang squinted slightly, curious.

“A military housing town, where most n’s families are soldiers here,” Ye Nai replied.

After speaking, Ye Nai sensed sothing amiss; she swiftly communicated with the surrounding spores to obtain a larger spore map.

Then, as the spore map unfurled in her mind, revealing the town’s situation, Fan Zeyang’s question echoed again.

“It’s been vacant so long, is there anyone left in the town?” Fan Zeyang’s curious gaze at the road carried bewildernt.

“No one there anymore, deputy minister would like to visit?” Ye Nai inquired, taking the opportunity.

“Deputy Minister!” Both the secretary and staff officer chid in simultaneously, trying to stop him from making such a risky move.

“They said no one was there, no need to be tense.”

Fan Zeyang waved at his subordinates with a smile, his gaze warm as he looked at Ye Nai.

“If I want to take a look, is it safe there?” Fan Zeyang’s question carried a hint of anticipation.

“It’s safe. The tiline here passed over four years; the town is just two or three kiloters away, and is also part of my absolutely safe controlled area,” Ye Nai assured.

After speaking, she adeptly restarted the car, drove through the open gate.

A road not traversed in over four years, weeds covered most parts of it, but the off-road vehicle’s excellent performance ignored such terrain, keeping a steady ride.

Covering two or three kiloters in a flash, a deserted small town left unattended for years edge the main road, ca into view.

In the crevices of the stone road, wild grass and idle flowers grew exuberantly, vitality bursting; while the house doors and windows by the street were tightly shut, the wooden window fras making a slight creaking sound with the breeze. The unmaintained house walls showed signs of damage, appearing neglected and perilous.
