The warriors imdiately got to work, transferring the injured to the stretcher carts and securing them in place with their own elastic bands.
But the edge of the trailer was much higher than that of an ambulance, and everyone waited to see what Ye Nai would do next.
Ye Nai deployed a forklift, her approach simple and crude.
"Holy crap!!!"
"It's actually a forklift!"
"Big win!"
"It's like carrying around a whole engineering vehicle team!"
The warriors clapped and laughed heartily, running to the side of the trailer to help. They lowered one of the side panels and climbed up to assist in receiving.
The others lined up the stretcher carts next to the trailer, waiting their turn.
Ye Nai threw several large bundles of rope onto the vehicle and then began to fork lift the injured.
She slid the forks under the stretcher carts. The warriors pressed down hard, retracting the foldable legs beneath. The carts sat firmly on the forks and were lifted up easily.
The two warriors on the vehicle didn't need to adjust the height. They simply positioned the stretcher cart and secured it with the ropes wrapped around both the side panel fras and the cart's handles, creating a suspension tie-down. This way, when the vehicle swayed, the stretcher cart would sway slightly without ejecting the injured.
After the six injured were all settled toward the front of the vehicle, the body bags on the ground were moved to the rear.
Two dics climbed onto the vehicle to take care of the injured.
The body bags weren't secured, for fear they would move around and land on the stretcher carts.
"This trailer looks pretty new, hasn't it been used before?"
"It's clean because it's been washed. This one's specifically for transporting the injured. The one for transporting animals is this one."
Ye Nai slamd out another trailer. It was the one previously used for live cargo. As soon as the side panel was lowered, a stench that washing could not remove rapidly invaded everyone's nostrils.
Tears and snot flowed, and continuous retching sounds filled the air.
"Oh my god, what kind of mutant beast was hauled in this? It's downright marinated!"
"Live ones—it's the sll of feces and urine. Even enzymatic detergents don't work; it's just like this now."
"Retch, it's really too foul. When we get back to the main camp, you should ask logistics which brand of detergent they're using. Buy the sa one. We've never slled anything this bad."
"Sure, sure!"
Ye Nai happily agreed, having been troubled by this issue for a long ti. She had bought detergents advertised online but was never satisfied, always thinking that was as good as it could get. It seems she just hadn't found the right stuff.
After that, she threw a few bundles of even longer ropes onto the ground, opened one side panel of the stinky trailer, collected the seven carts on the ground into her space, and stacked them in the trailer like building blocks.
She wouldn't dream of keeping other people's vehicles in her space to bring back. If sothing went missing, that would be a difficult situation to explain.
The warriors helped her secure the ropes on the top to prevent the cars sticking out from falling off.
The rest just watched her perform.
Ye Nai put the foul-slling trailer into her space and moved it behind the trailer transporting the injured, connecting the two together.
Then she climbed onto the tractor, linking it to the trailer that was carrying the injured.
"All set, we can go now."
"Let's go, let's go, it's getting dark," the squad leader called out and everyone boarded their vehicles—the off-road vehicle led the way, with the tractor in the middle, followed by two empty military transport vehicles.
The journey that had taken more than half an hour at full speed on the way there was even slower on the return. The tractor, towing two large trailers, couldn't go fast and took more than an hour before they finally saw the periter of the Mountain Leopard Team's main encampnt.
The people in the camp also saw their strikingly conspicuous convoy and imdiately cleared the way, guiding the tractor trailer combination to an open area to stop.
Captain Li and Deputy Captain Xu were also quick to co upon hearing the news.
When the two captains arrived, they were greeted by a wave of laughter.
As they got closer, they couldn't help but laugh.
The rescuers were all barelegged, wearing only a white lab coat and a pair of simple slippers on their feet, as if they had been robbed.
"What happened to you guys?"
"Captain Li, don't worry, we're fine. We just took a bath after moving the injured. Our clothes got stained with blood," the squad leader said, standing at attention.
The two captains then nodded in relief. When they turned around, they saw Ye Nai jumping down from the tractor's hood.
"Captain Li, Deputy Captain Xu, I'm back to turn in my assignnt."
The two captains looked at Ye Nai, then at the tractor rig behind her, and then at Ye Nai again.
"How did you run into each other?"
"Outside the camp. They were coming out as I was going in, and they asked for help."
"Really, Captain Li, without Ye Nai, we couldn't have brought back the injured and these vehicles in one trip," the squad leader and the team mbers nodded repeatedly.
"Is this your tractor?" Xu Tong asked with a smile.
"Mmm-hmm."
"You carry a tractor in your Space?" Xu Tong felt he was seeing sothing new; a Solo Hunter with space equipnt using a construction vehicle for hunting was unheard of.
"Having more tools allows to cope with various situations. That's why I get hired for hunting missions, and how I've earned my one hundred percent task completion rate," Ye Nai replied confidently.
Her reasoning was quite sufficient.
So much so that it was irrefutable.
Xu Tong even started to consider whether to have his own team's logistics personnel with space capabilities carry a few as well?
"Alright, enough of that. What's the situation with the injured?"
"Six survived, all with full-body fractures, two with open fractures, and internal bleeding that has been stopped with surgery, but they still need to be get out of here as soon as possible."
"Surgery? You operated on the injured? You have an operating room?"
"Yes, we do." Ye Nai and the two dics responded in unison.
The dics added,
"Really, a standard operating room."
The two captains' gazes fell on Ye Nai again, their expressions one of disbelief.
"You take advantage of the large Space to pack everything, don't you."
"It's all useful stuff. If it weren't for tily surgery, these six people would have died on the way back. Now they just need to be sent out for fracture treatnt."
"Send them out first thing tomorrow morning, just to Town Number Two. There's a hospital there that can take them."
"Alright, I'm going out too, so that works for ."
"Let's move the injured down. It's not okay to leave them in the vehicles overnight."
So, a bunch of people clumsily lowered the ramp, and Ye Nai pulled out a forklift with a bang.
Wiping their faces, Captain Li and Xu thought they wouldn't be surprised by any type of heavy machinery Ye Nai might produce next ti.
With the help of the forklift and everyone's clumsy coordination, six stretcher carts were safely placed on the ground, pushed under the dical tent by the dics, who then checked the wounds and hung another round of IV bags. The stretcher carts served perfectly as their temporary hospital beds.
The body bags were left in the vehicle, untouched by anyone.
Ye Nai stood still; she was entirely focused on turning in her assignnt now.
"Right, you have an assignnt to turn in. Let's see what good stuff you brought back," Xu Tong said, calling for the squad responsible for tallying the ga using his walkie-talkie. In the open space, many people gathered around to watch.
Ye Nai didn't disappoint them. She started by releasing ga like wild boars, wild buffaloes, and wild deer, all adult-bodied, piling up like a small mountain.
