The flashlight swept around, looking for a lush bush that could hide a person as a cover. Better safe than sorry, if a mutant beast appeared nearby the next ti she showed up, it wouldn’t matter if she was seen by people, but being caught by a mutant beast would be a different story.

Thinking this, Ye Nai searched for over ten more minutes until she saw a bush that satisfied her needs. Just as she was about to head over, a bright light in the distance montarily dazzled her eyes.

Ye Nai quickly stuffed the flashlight into her chest and squatted down, then she fumbled for the switch and turned it off, stowing it away in her Space.

She squatted quietly for a while, allowing her eyes to adjust to the darkness around her.

Without the flashlight, it stood to reason that she shouldn’t have been able to see anything; even though an Awakener’s senses were enhanced, it was still like being blind without a light source.

In this pitch darkness, where she couldn’t see her hand in front of her face, the light that had just dazzled Ye Nai seed to stand out more prominently.

And the light grew brighter, vaguely resembling the light of a torch or a campfire. However, the base of the fire was incomplete, unseen, as if the light was floating in mid-air.

Ye Nai found this strange and took out her binoculars for a closer look, faintly making out what seed like a large pit. The light was within it, which was why it seed to be floating in mid-air.

She imdiately dashed over at full speed.

As she approached, she could see more clearly. The earth was dug up all over, indeed revealing a freshly excavated pit.

She lay down at the edge of the pit and gazed downwards, her eyes widening in surprise.

Around the bottom of the pit, torches and campfires burned. In the center was a man-made platform, and on that platform was a Space Vortex resembling the entrance to the East Ridge Secret Realm in Town №1, though not as large or oppressive, but still sufficient for passage.

Below the platform, a group of Otherworld enemies were bustling about, ceaselessly pulling out large bundles from the Space Vortex.

These creatures were exceptionally tall, clad in non-reflective armor, making them appear even bulkier. At a glance, each stood over two ters tall.

Ye Nai’s fingers twitched, releasing a large number of spores, yet she didn’t imdiately act, choosing instead to wait patiently for over ten minutes. She watched as the enemy extracted all the bundles from the Space Vortex before shutting it down.

The poised spores sprang into action, penetrating the bodies of all the enemies and downing them in a second, clearly indicating that the spores had found a carbon-based food source.

The excess spores sunk into the soil, eting up with the extending thin strand of Fungus, providing Ye Nai with feedback that confird her suspicions.

The energy attracting this Fungus strand to travel the long distance was indeed this place.

Ye Nai got up, slid down into the pit, and examined it in detail.

The large altar in the middle of the pit floor had stairs on one side, and these Otherworld enemies had been moving items up and down them.

With her experience in playing online gas, Ye Nai considered such a man-made platform of stone should rightly be called an altar.

The Otherworld enemies lying unconscious on the ground numbered twenty, each fully equipped with broadswords at their waists and machine guns on their backs.

It appeared to be a mix of ancient and modern because, indeed, the machine guns were Blue Star models, which didn’t match with the invaders themselves. At the sa ti, these guns were very old, with scratch marks and peeled paint, bearing all kinds of wear and tear, likely acquired from the battlefield.

The enemies had been invading Blue Star for fifty years, yet, to this day, they had not been able to produce munitions; this was good news.

She took another careful look at the enemies’ features. Although they looked like Blue Star people, with two arms, two legs, one head, two eyes, one nose, one mouth, and two ears, their appearances were distinctively different.

First and most noticeably, their foreheads were broad and their eyes were set wide apart. Currently, their eyes were closed, so it wasn’t clear whether they would appear as "extrely intelligent" when open, but since all of them had this feature, it likely constituted the normal appearance of their race.

Then there was the fact that they had a heavy bone structure and were very tall, with fingers that had one more joint than those of the Blue Star people.

Their skin was a distinct earthy yellow, which, at a glance, might lead one to think they suffered from liver disease, but clearly that wasn’t the case; it was just their natural complexion.

This Great Altar must have been buried. They had dug it out arduously and co back to it. Normally, working at the bottom of a pit would have kept them from being discovered, but they had to light a bonfire, and Ye Nai just happened to be nearby.

It was a matter of timing and fate; even the Secret Realm from the Otherworld territory wasn’t on their side. Tough luck for them.

Ye Nai gathered these twenty enemies from the Otherworld into her Space, letting the Fungus break them down and digest them.

This was her spoils of war, not ant to be shared with anyone, because the nation wasn’t lacking bodies of enemies; if not within its borders, then plenty could be found on the frontiers.

All the lands of neighboring countries around her own nation had fallen into enemy hands. The enemy encroached on their borders daily, sworn to gnaw away at this tough bone. The news was filled with frequent reports of battles, so of losses and others of victories, but since she was in the inland, she didn’t feel much impact from the border conflicts.

Now it was different.

The enemy could indeed use the Secret Realm for transportation.

"Space Channel" was not a misnor; "Secret Realm" was the colloquial term derived from the nature of its internal environnt, succinct and easy to morize.

Ye Nai didn’t know whether the enemy had co this way before, nor did she have any way to ask; such information was definitely a military secret. If she were to inquire carelessly, she’d certainly beco the focus of an investigation, which would not be worth it. She quite enjoyed her secrets and had no intention of sharing them with others.

Thus, she wasn’t curious, nor did she want to ask. Those who stumbled into her would simply et their end.

She was only interested in the altar now.

These twenty enemies must have co through the altar; it was the instrunt for opening the Space Channel.

By the light of the bonfire, Ye Nai caressed the rough surface of the altar with her hands. After sweeping off the dust, she unearthed a complete set of lines engraved on it that resembled Magic Patterns. These lines ford a closed circle, indiscernible as to beginning or end.

This "resemblance to Magic Patterns" was based on Ye Nai’s experience with Western fantasy online gas.

Online gas of this genre had always had a market, and after the arrival of the enemies from the Otherworld, the ergence of the Awakener on Blue Star provided explosive material for similar online and single-player gas.

Not understanding wasn’t an issue, as simple reasoning was sufficient to deduce that if the Magic Patterns were like a lock, then there must also be a key.

The key was certainly an energy stone or a Heart Core from within a mutant beast, or perhaps a mineral stone. It didn’t need to be large, just portable, but it had to contain super condensed energy.

Ye Nai imdiately gazed into her Space where the twenty enemies from the Otherworld had already been encapsulated in thick fungus cocoons. As her thoughts transmitted, the Fungus swayed like seaweed in the waves, and soon, a deep blue irregularly shaped stone small enough to fit into a pocket was tossed out.

Just as she was about to take out the small mineral stone for a closer examination, a violent turmoil suddenly erupted within the Space.

Ye Nai’s spiritual power was severely impacted, almost bouncing her out and severing her connection with her own Space.

Luckily, that unfortunate event didn’t occur, or else she would have ended up as a patient suffering from spiritual power trauma.

The Space itself contained a massive "Super Concentrated Heart Core," around which the Fungus wrapped itself to absorb the dense energy, thus allowing Ye Nai the ability to perform Space Teleportation.
