While the rchant was relieved of his life being spared, he couldn’t help but glance at the multiple corpses left behind.

"Just who gave these people the courage to spy on certified gold rchants?" He hissed coldly and blad the losses he incurred from these corpses.

Out of frustration, he decided to kick one of the corpses, sending it flying.

"Hmph, I’ll definitely file a complaint and report this to the rchant guild to recoup my losses—"

Slash!

Before the rchant could finish their sentence, his eyes suddenly widened when he saw his body.

’Eh, why is there no head?’ That was the last thing on their mind before a small thud sound was created. Their head had officially been detached from their body as a pool of blood drenched the gray cobblestone.

Next to the rchant’s death, a shadow silhouette could be seen sheathing their sword, their eyes trailing toward the direction where Leonard had left. As the sunlight shone over the narrow alley, their attire was soon revealed and resembled that of a city guard’s uniform.

"Looks like I was correct to lay low and not do anything. A sixth magic circle bodyguard. What kind of influence and wealth is needed to hire soone like her?" The silhouette was none other than Jeffrey, who had silenced the rchant from trying to cause a bigger ss than necessary.

Initially, he was going to let the rchant live. But after seeing how he kicked one of the corpses and talked about filing a complaint. Jeffrey knew this rchant needed to stay quiet permanently.

Despite Jeffrey’s swift action in killing the rchant, there was already a crowd heading toward the scene to check it out.

"Relax, people, just another group of troublemakers who wish to destroy the peace of Velastra." Jeffrey promptly revealed himself and explained the situation.

"Ah, it’s one of those again?"

"And here I thought we had so more drama available."

"Sigh, I should get going now. Otherwise, my father’s going to scold for being late."

In the blink of an eye, the onlookers quickly lost interest upon learning it was another group of troublemakers.

The city of Velastra was practically a gold mine, so there was bound to be so bad blood who sought to get so wealth through unscrupulous ans.

It was such a common occurrence that they had long gotten used to such people being killed on the spot.

Once the crowd dispersed, Jeffrey heaved a sigh of relief.

’Phew, this is too much stress for a lowly man like . I should just head over to Enchanted Oasis and enjoy so won.’ He patted his chest and decided to call it a day. He assisted Manager Darren today, so he reckoned the quality of the won he would receive should be a delight.

Soti later, Jeffrey walked over the puddle of blood, his shoes drenched in them, and exited the narrow alley. In the anti, the city’s built-in magic formation activated and began to cleanse the area. The blood was rapidly dried into nothingness, and the corpses were reduced to re particles.

The process didn’t even take more than 5 minutes before the narrow alley returned to its original state.

The shattered buildings caused by the fight were also repaired by the city’s reparation mages. Everything was handled well, and the Trader’s Market never stopped functioning once.

"Co and look at my cheap yet amazing items!"

"The Crown Prince’s arrival ans a 30% discount on all my items. Even if you don’t want to buy, co and take a look. I’ll gladly accept any loan papers provided by the Velastra Bank."

As the rchants and low-ranked traders shouted slogans or whatnot to attract custors, the wealthy folks would browse the items one by one.

"Daddy, I want that jewelry." A young girl asked their father for jewelry priced at 30 silver coins.

"Haha, anything for my precious." The father laughed heartily and tossed out 30 silver coins in a heartbeat.

"Thank you, dearest custor." The trader’s eyes lit up, and he hurriedly treated the two as gods. "Allow to package them nicely for you. The young lady has a keen eye for picking jewelry. This is one of my prized possessions."

"Of course," the father was naturally pleased and satisfied with the complint. "We’ll be headed to a banquet in a few days and another one held by the Crown Prince. Hence, I’ve brought my precious out to pick a few nice accessories."

"Ah, I see. Being invited to the Crown Prince’s banquet is a dream." The trader nodded and gently handed the rchandise over to their custor.

Besides this stall, similar things were happening across, with many hoping to find so valuable or great accessories to put on in hopes to impress the Crown Prince. They couldn’t be bothered about the previous incident involving the death of lowly beings.

While they wished to prepare themselves, the supposed Crown Prince remained aloof toward the situation.

"Your friend better not be staying in so shabby place to create a mysterious but profound environnt," Leonard warned Mirelle as they spent the last 15 minutes walking.

They had already left the Trader’s Market region and were in the inner region.

"Uhh... that I don’t know." Toward the question, Mirelle was unsure of the possibility. After all, she had known Caroline for a long ti, and the latter was the type to not care for much aside from the research.

Seeing her reaction, Leonard was more or less convinced that they would be headed toward so discreet or rundown building.

They were in the city’s inner region, so shouldn’t there be more regulation compared to the Trader’s Market, which was located in the outer region?

Soti later, Mirelle pointed at a building and exclaid, "It’s here!"

Leonard followed her pointer and glanced at the building.

"Now, this is quite unexpected." He comnted, looking at the luxurious exterior. "Are you sure your friend is frugal and not a spendthrift?"

"Eh, I’m not sure either. The letter we exchanged was indeed this address and na." Mirelle smiled awkwardly.
