"et with the assassin?" Curtis was alard. His body jolted slightly and glanced at Leonard in concern.

"What’s so alarming about it?" Leonard frowned in response.

"Or are you hinting to that the Crimson Guards can’t even keep a prisoner in place?"

"Of course, not." Curtis flashed a solemn expression.

He even saluted and declared, "The Crimson Guards would never allow a re prisoner to harm the Crown Prince."

"Then all is well. Bring over there."

"Yes, Crown Prince!"

Soti later, Curtis guided Leonard to the basent level of the large ship.

Upon arriving at the basent level, the guards were about to bow in respect to Curtis but beca stunned when Leonard was following closely behind.

They kept their mouths shut and only dared to speak once their presence was gone.

"Is the Crown Prince going to start the interrogation?" One of them asked in disbelief.

"Maybe the Crown Prince wanted to have so fun instead. He got a female companion previously, but that female companion seed to have lost favor." Another one comnted.

"I’ve heard from a close comrade who had the shift earlier to watch the Crown Prince’s female companion. She was quite the beauty, but they were ordered to keep an eye on her. Although not explicitly ntioned, it was clear that she’s being restricted." A third guard chid in and explained their findings.

The guards all held their own thoughts when inford of such an event.

However, they only discussed it briefly before returning to their post. It wasn’t rare for nobles, especially royalty, to ss around with many beauties.

Many knew about it but kept a tight lid on the news because no one wanted to seek death.

These guards were rely curious about why the assassin remained alive and not executed imdiately for the attempted assassination of the crown prince.

While the guards stopped gossiping as curiosity killed the cat, Leonard and Curtis remained unaware of the gossip.

Moreover, they didn’t have the ti or energy to care about the gossip either.

"We have arrived, Crown Prince," Curtis said and gestured to the guards to make way for Leonard.

"The assassin is currently cuffed and restrained from any movent." He explained and wanted to enter the room alongside Leonard.

However, he didn’t get far when Leonard halted him.

"No need to follow in." He declared and said, "I wished to chat with them alone."

Unwilling to disobey the command, Curtis nodded slightly. He stood by the side and watched as Leonard entered inside. His worried expression betrayed his supposed calm behavior. It was obvious that Curtis didn’t wish for the crown prince to enter a room alone with the assassin.

But at the sa ti, he was just like the other Crimson Guards. Having personally witnessed the assassin’s appearance, even he had to admit the assassin was a beautiful woman.

’Hopefully, the crown prince isn’t going to be seduced by the woman.’ Curtis prayed and made sure to check on the cuff frequently.

The cuff was a two-set magic item.

The cuff was labeled with a Slave Part whereas the key to unlocking was labeled with a Master Part. With the Master Part, any sudden abnormality that occurred in the Slave Part would instantly alert the Master Part.

"The two of you stay alert. If the key has any reaction, then we will rush inside imdiately." Curtis’ face turned cold and commanded the two guards.

Even if it was a false alarm and risked a severe scolding from the crown prince, Curtis couldn’t care less. He would rather be scolded than allow the crown prince to be in harm’s way.

"Yes, Sir Cobra." The two guards didn’t dare to relax and kept a straightened back. They were ready to charge in at any given mont, their eyes extrely focused and concentrated at the door.

While they remained vigilant, inside the prison’s room, Leonard made eye contact with the assassin. The assassin was chained up by the wall and completely immobile.

Now that he had a clearer look on them, she was a woman with short black hair, and her eyes were green. Her muscles and physiques were clearly trained for agile movent.

"So what should I address you as? Black Lotus or Justice Lotus?" Leonard took a seat and asked.

The woman ignored his question and avoided his eyesight.

Seeing her behavior, he didn’t mind it one bit.

Instead, he continued to ramble on.

"Looks like one of the guards was right about your identity. I was hesitant at first whether they recognized it wrongly or not." He mused.

Then he crossed his legs and grinned, "I’ve heard you killed quite a lot of corrupted nobles in rural regions, saving many commoners or those without power from their plight. Maybe I should pay them a little visit and use so special ans to inquire why you assisted them."

Sure enough, the woman finally reacted. They tried to move their arms a bit, and their gazes shifted to him. Staring at him with her green eyes, she seed to be expressing regret for not being able to kill him.

Unfazed by her glare, Leonard continued, "You can either stay quiet now and forever hold your peace with many following alongside you. Or you can stop acting like a mute and talk to ."

"What’s there to talk about with a corrupted crown prince?" The woman hissed coldly. Their teeth were gnashed tightly, almost as if they were trying to suppress the fiery emotion dwelling within her.

"Stop trying to act like you won’t incriminate the innocents. You’ve already massacred many innocents to cover your cris."

"I’ve massacred many innocents?" Leonard raised an eyebrow and laughed hysterically.

"What kind of falsified information have you been fed with? I’ve been cooped up in my palace all along. So where and why in the world would I be able to commit so cris?"

"Cooped up in your palace?"

The woman sneered and cursed, "Staying cooped up but using human lives as nothing more than livestock to increase your wealth and power is considered cri-free?"
