Bai Mu did not lose his composure in the face of the ergency. If one simply ignored the monster's roars and the shrinking walls to observe carefully, it beca obvious that the walls were closing in at an extrely slow pace. Although visibly moving, they still left the group plenty of room to maneuver. The trap's true purpose seed to be instilling a sense of urgency in the five people trapped inside the cage, forcing them to take action rather than simply crushing them to death.

Otherwise, based on the speed at which the wall in the drawing room had retracted earlier, logically speaking, it would only take a few seconds for the walls to crush them into a pulp.

"Let's go, we are heading out!" Bai Mu took a step forward. "Let's take out that thing outside!"

"Brother Bai, you finally decided!" Great Northern Wilderness exclaid with joy.

"We probably won't be able to clear this Script unless we kill it," Bai Mu declared. "Besides, it is obvious that another will is currently controlling the movents of those zombies. They don't possess the initiative to attack on their own; soone else is manipulating them to target us."

"Just listening to these sounds, you can tell they are in agony. Rather than letting them continue to suffer, it is better to be decisive and grant them complete release." Bai Mu retrieved a Cherry Bomb from his inventory. The wailing outside was heart-rending. The zombies making up that massive ball of flesh clearly harbored deep trauma regarding this cage. Even in death, their bodies instinctively recoiled from the place that had subjected them to such imnse tornt.

Yet they were being forcibly driven to slam against the walls. The shrill cries and wails threatened to pierce their eardrums. "Is this... a cherry?"

Scattered Fireflies stared blankly at the flowerpot in Bai Mu's palm. Two massive red cherries caught her eye. In this place filled with the stench of rust and rotting corpses, she caught a whiff of a refreshing, sweet and sour botanical fragrance.

Among Bai Mu's four teammates, only Scattered Fireflies had never seen this item with her own eyes.

However, Scattered Fireflies also noticed from the expressions of the other three that the flowerpot was definitely not as simple as it looked. When Bai Mu brought this gadget out, the expressions of the other three visibly relaxed.

"It is a Cherry Bomb," Bai Mu explained. "We still don't know how difficult the Boss battle will be, so we must minimize our consumption as much as possible. Although those zombies have rged into a giant ball of flesh, its core components are still fragile zombies. When they slam against the brick walls, their bones and flesh shatter just the sa." "Even if a Cherry Bomb doesn't kill it, it should be enough to inflict severe damage. Watch my hand signal. The mont I throw this bomb, we will all rush out and attack together."

"I was just waiting for you to say that, Brother Bai!" Great Northern Wilderness drew his sword, eager for the fight.

Nancheng Port also pulled an arrow from his quiver. It featured a specially crafted pine resin arrowhead. The quiver on his back was a Rare grade piece of equipnt that could produce a wide variety of special arrows.

Aside from standard iron arrows, it held flaming arrows, poison arrows, and even a limited number of explosive arrows. These arrows would automatically replenish after a certain period of ti.

Although the bow was only a common grade weapon, paired with this quiver, it could unleash trendous power.

He had fought zombies back in the Village of Mist, so he was very well aware that a zombie's weakness was fire. Thus, he drew out a flaming arrow that could be easily ignited. Misty Rain Traveler also retrieved a scalpel from her pouch. Before entering the Script, she had gone to the Player market to prepare gasoline and torches. However, her Forensic Doctor profession granted her bonus damage when using bladed weapons to attack monsters that could be dissected.

Even though zombies did not bleed, she could still destroy their bodily tissues through laceration damage. Destroying their bodies to a certain extent would kill them just the sa, though it wasn't quite as simple as burning them with fire.

Moreover, she wanted to earn so class experience along the way. After all, if she wanted to level up her Forensic Doctor profession, she needed to constantly dissect monsters or human bodies. Killing monsters with bladed weapons would also grant her bonus professional experience during the final tally.

Seeing her teammates fully prepared, Scattered Fireflies also gripped her staff tightly, ready to channel a Fireball Spell.

"You'd better cover your ears!" Bai Mu warned. He then plucked a Cherry Bomb and hurled it toward the narrow stone doorway. The Cherry Bomb, featuring a fierce scowl of raised eyebrows, spun through the air. It began radiating a harsh light as its round body swelled and expanded. Then ca the deafening explosion. A resounding boom echoed out, as if a violent thunderbolt had struck.

The blast overpowered the roars of the massive flesh-ball monster, causing the entire house to shake violently. The power of a Cherry Bomb was plain for all to see. If this thing detonated inside an ordinary house, it would absolutely blow the structure to smithereens. It was inherently a Rare grade consumable item, logically only capable of being used once. Its item grade was on par with Boor's Bile. However, thanks to a special synergy between the skills and items Bai Mu had acquired from the Scripts, it had transford from a one-ti consumable into a sustainable, replenishable tool.

The various items produced within the Scripts were highly balanced in these aspects. Items with limited uses were generally much more powerful than replenishable ones, and vice versa.

In truth, Bai Mu's combination could be considered a hidden set effect. A Cherry Bomb that could only explode once was a Rare item, but if it could be detonated repeatedly, its overall utility surpassed the scope of a standard Rare item. Even if it did not quite reach the Perfect grade, it wouldn't be too far off.

Before the shockwave of the explosion fully dissipated, Bai Mu activated Plant Care, replenishing one charge for the Cherry Bomb.

His Stamina was still at 70 percent. Earlier, while reading the diary, the special effect of the Murkoff military boots had fully restored his Stamina. This Script wasn't the type to heavily drain one's physical energy. Almost an hour had passed since the Script began, and they hadn't even spent much ti walking. Seventy percent Stamina was more than enough. According to his deductions, if they followed the normal progression, the Boss would likely appear right after they eliminated these zombies. There shouldn't be too many obstacles left after this.

The sound of the explosion subsided a few seconds later. Bai Mu positioned the Flaming Sword at his left waist and shouted, "I'll go first!"

He took the lead, rushing out of the narrow doorway and into the drawing room.

The place had been set ablaze. The bearskin on the wall, the desk, and even the piano had been blown to pieces. Scattered fragnts burned fitfully, releasing plus of black smoke.

So of the destruction was caused by the Cherry Bomb's blast, while the rest was the result of the massive ball of flesh smashing through the room.

It appeared that the monstrosity had taken the brunt of the explosion head-on. Severed limbs were scattered everywhere. Bai Mu even saw a few heads rolling on the ground. The entity had been blown apart, leaving only about one-third of the zombies at its very center still intact.

The surviving zombies crawled up from the ground. So only had their upper halves remaining and used their fingers to drag themselves forward. Their initial direction of movent wasn't toward Bai Mu, but rather toward the mansion's main entrance.

But very quickly, as if compelled by an unseen force once again, they turned back around, directing their vicious fury at Bai Mu.
