Ti passed by incredibly swiftly, and soon, another trial was upon Cedric.
Once again, he’s being called to the core inheritance zone to take its challenge and fight for his right to remain here.
Sighing to himself, Cedric actively controlled his clone in the Origin Heaven Continent once more. He walked out of his humble shelter and nodded to the rest of his fellow people who were being called too as he slowly made his way to the core zone.
He kept looking around, sowhat hoping to see a new face. Anyone would do, non-humans included. Alas, he failed to see anyone new.
’Really, this place is just that picky, huh? ’He thought to himself.
Co to think of it, the appearance of an Unstable Heavenly Realm fragnt should be coming up soon.
One such fragnt appears randomly in the Five Known Chaos Realms every 1500 years. The last one appeared within the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm, which led to a confrontation between the Human Sovereigns and the Bug Empress.
That was their most recent confrontation, by the way. Now, nearly 1500 years have passed, and many things have changed for the Human Sovereigns. The Bug Empress would be lucky if she manages to escape either Nicholas’s or Patricia’s ire if she ever shows up before them again.
She’s no longer an enemy for them, including Cedric for that matter.

Whether the next Unstable Heavenly Realm fragnt marks another person to be sent here was sothing he couldn’t predict. Not even through divination. He might as well focus on his business instead of uselessly thinking about this.
Shortly later, Cedric appeared in the core inheritance zone. He walked at the vast vacuum of space, slowly approaching the nebula where the origin heaven tablets swam.
Last ti, he left without spending all of his comprehension ti rewards. He’s got 50 days left to use. Now, since he had to participate in another trial, he could accumulate more.
Cedric was excited and motivated.
Now that he had been recognized by the Origin Sword Laws, the next on his list was the Origin Fire Laws.
Fire is what he used to cleanse the putrid corruption of demons from his ho, back when all he knew was the void prison his ho was in. He was hailed as the Sun God of his people.
His cleansing fire is what reclaid their ancestral lands. His brilliance shone so bright that it burned the filthy demons to nothingness and brought prosperity to his people.
Fire, along with the sword, had been beside him for a very long ti. He used it in so many ways and on so many occasions that he had beco incredibly familiar with it; that’s why this was his next Origin Law to comprehend.

Cedric launched the sa tactic as before: stick close to groups, land killing blows to get the reward, and aim for assists if that’s not possible.
The scenario was slightly more chaotic than before. That gigantic and enormous abyssal that resembled a slowly advancing black hole was still there. And it’s exponentially moving faster now than before, as he noticed. Still, slow though.
But like last ti, Cedric avoided that thing like the plague. He calculated each step he made because he knew that the scenario was trying to nudge him towards its location to force a confrontation.
Cedric refused to play by the rules, only his own; that’s why he’s very vigilant.
His strategy still worked just fine though. Because of his opportunistic way of surviving, the difficulty of the scenario didn’t increase sharply since the last ti. The only difference he noticed so far was the exponential increase of the speed of that gigantic abyssal.
The regular abyssals, while still a challenge, weren’t so hard to defeat. Especially with Cedric being as opportunistic as he was.
If other participants saw Cedric playing this way, they’d probably curse him for his shalessness or curse themselves for being stupid.
See, the first assumption any participant would have when they’re thrown in this situation is to confront the abyssals with their own skills while holding their trump cards close to their chest. The scenario itself reacts to this. The participants will find themselves isolated sotis in a 1v1 fight, and whether they survive that fight or not will be up to their luck and skill.
And because the scenario was watching closely, it’s also learning. It sees their strength, their habits, scenarios, etc. And since it is in its nature to adjust the difficulty based on the data it gathers, the participants will find themselves surprised by their next trial having a sharply increased difficulty compared to before.
That’s the trap that kills most of the participants or sends them to ’The Other Side.’
The scenario also tried to do the sa to Cedric during his first ti. But Cedric just refused to play to its hand. He kept sticking to groups, stealing kills, and prioritizing his safety. He does it so naturally that the intelligence behind the scenario was rendered helpless against him.
He skirted around their rules cleanly. His actions might be shaless but not illegal. That’s why his own trial wasn’t becoming difficult as quickly as others did. And this allowed him to accumulate a lot of comprehension ti rewards.
This was Cedric’s third ti, and by now, this was as much confirmation as he needed to know that his thod was working.
Of course he knows what he’s doing. He’s not a stranger to limiting rules like this. And even though he remains largely unfamiliar with the background of this place, he knows how to play his cards without being caught cheating. It’s not the first ti he’s been placed in an unfair situation, and it probably won’t be the last.
Cedric could probably deploy more disgusting ways to skirt around their rules even more. He could annoy the people behind the scenes with his dirty tactics so more and gain more comprehension ti rewards that way, but he decided against it. He didn’t want to test their temper because they might actually just kick him out.
And Cedric would hate for that to happen. Now that he’s this close to Origin Laws, how could he possibly leave? He has already decided to comprehend as much as he can; Cedric will fight tooth and nail to remain here.
So, he’d do just enough to comply but also gain more for himself. So long as he doesn’t go overboard, at most, they’d be annoyed at him but won’t kick him out.
Of course, it could also be that they’re not really annoyed at him. That this was all just in his head. That in reality, the people behind the scenes didn’t care about his shaless tactics.
Why would they offer rewards to those that comprehend more origin laws and make such ’difficult’ trials? Isn’t that a contradiction to their purpose? Were they that bored?
No. Maybe they’re doing this on purpose. Maybe this is what they intended after all, and Cedric was only one of the very few who caught on.
If others were that stupid to run headfirst to the problem before them, then maybe they don’t deserve to see what’s on the other side of all of this.
Either way, Cedric might eventually learn all of this on his own, but for now, he’d just do his best to fight for the chance to remain here.

The trial ended seven days later. Cedric made it out and brought back 150 days’ worth of comprehension ti rewards. Add the 50 he had left, and he’s got a total of 200 days’ worth of comprehension ti rewards.
That is absurd.
Mind you, even the so-called ’veterans’ of this place could only grab this much on a really lucky day. So achieved it once upon a ti, but never again. Most couldn’t even break past 100 days.
For Cedric, who’s fairly new to this area, to grab that much at once was practically unheard of.
Again, if stealing were allowed and everybody were to learn of what he had achieved, Cedric would probably be in danger right now. Luckily, that wasn’t a thing.
With 200 days’ worth of comprehension ti rewards, Cedric eagerly stepped into the nebula.
He was sowhat surprised when he saw the Origin Sword Law Tablet already beside him. He stared at it for a bit, but it offered no additional insights to him anymore, so he ignored it.
Maybe that’s just what happens when he’s already recognized by a specific origin law.
Before sitting, he called to the Origin Fire Law Tablet, which swam and appeared before him in an instant.
The mont he saw it, insights about fire laws were already rushing towards him even before he could sit down.
Once he was fully seated, he stared at the tablet and began comprehending.
In an instant, Cedric got imrsed. It didn’t take long before his eyes turned dull and wisps of fire began dancing around him.
And as more ti passed, the complete diagram of Origin Fire Laws was being reflected in his consciousness and his inner world.
