Irma Goldtooth...
The na wasn’t particularly flattering, really. And for the longest ti, the owner of this na hated it, especially his surna. Why? It’s because it had been the source of ridicule to him for the longest ti.
And no, he doesn’t have a gold tooth.
If you consider his demonic heritage, this becos even more aggravating. Because as creatures who are deeply in tune with their rage, even the simplest of teasing could end up in a life-and-death fight.
And Irma had been in a lot of those his entire life.
The only saving grace is that he survived these fights. He got stronger with each one, and before he himself knew it, he beca so strong that nobody dared to tease him about his na anymore.
However, this wasn’t really the main highlight of his life. Oh, no. Far from it, actually.
The main highlight was his people’s war against humans. In comparison, the mockery he got because of his na and the fights that followed it would be child’s play.
Irma had been one of the warriors of his ilk against humans.
And humans...oh, damn those humans.
Who could’ve ever imagined that those tiny and frail creatures could reach the heights they’ve reached today?
They went from being scared of the predators of their own world, huddling together in front of bonfires in a pitiful attempt to survive the night, to becoming a sovereign race of an entire chaos realm.
If anybody told them in a distant past that humanity had this kind of destiny, Irma himself would be the first one to laugh at that. And his reaction would’ve been justified considering how miserable humans were back in the day.
And he wouldn’t be the only one who would deny this. Every single one of his kind will react the sa. And it’s not just demons either. The chanoids, the beastfolk, the dragon race, and more importantly, the Horde.
Everybody would laugh and mock that ridiculous notion.
But now...it’s not hilarious anymore, is it? Yeah, no. Not at all.
The worst part? Irma had been there to see it all.
Like what was stated earlier, he had been one of the main warriors who fought humans in the suppression effort.
At first, he couldn’t believe it.
The first ti he discovered humans, they were nothing but prisoners, slaves of their own world. Hell, they can’t even get out of their own planet. They’re weak, pathetic, and worse than insects.
They didn’t leave any decent impression on Irma at all. But that changed when, a few hundred thousand years later, the humans had apparently beco powerful enough to have a seat in the council.
That’s the second ti he heard about them. And Irma almost couldn’t believe how ridiculous that was already.
Still, they hadn’t beco much of a threat. They’re clinging to the thighs of the beastfolk and dragons. Borrowing their blood, learning their ways, and ducking into their shadows for protection. Still pathetic, but not as much as the first ti.
But then ca the third ti. And that had been a monuntal shock to Irma because all of a sudden, he was being drafted to fight the unified frontier to suppress and/or eradicate the human race.
His mind reeled in shock when he realized that humans had beco so powerful that everyone, not just demons, EVERYONE, decided to join arms to drive them to extinction.
He didn’t believe it at first. He thought that there might be a cruel joke behind his drafting, that all of this was just a ruse, an excuse, or whatever. He refused to believe that humans had beco so powerful that it scared everyone else.
But that illusion had been broken the mont he and his team had their first clash against human elites.
Try as he might, he would never forget that day.
The way how their ship was imdiately taken over and stripped, and how his team was forced to fight on unfavorable terms because of a ruthless stroke of an ambush.
He couldn’t forget how their enemies wielded concept laws as if they were born to do it. Half of Irma’s teammates died before they even knew what happened, and within an hour, only he was left alive.
They didn’t kill him. They allowed him to live to tell the tale, to serve as a warning to the demon race.
It was a humiliation that had burned oh-so-deeply into his bones, a sha that he’d never ever forget.
But...so what?
So what if he was humiliated? So what if he’d never ever forget about this sha? It didn’t change a damn thing.
It’s laughable, really. Because even with the demons, chanoids, beastfolk, and the dragon race all joining hands to eradicate humans, they still lost to them anyway.
And it wasn’t close. Not at all.
Because as it turns out, while they were all so busy laughing and mocking humans, the humans were busy observing.
They were analyzing, learning, experinting, and progressing right under their noses. They kept their cards close to their chest and played them really well.
Humans were deeply curious creatures, and more importantly, they’re slaves of progress. Stagnation simply doesn’t exist in their vocabulary.
The beastfolk went down first. They enslaved their masters and turned them into resources. Then, the dragons were hunted next. Humans scraped off every valuable piece of their corpse, understood them completely, and stole their knowledge.
They then stole and reverse-engineered the tools of the chanoids. They even rewrote their code and turned them into convenient servants—tireless and loyal machines that built the weapons they could aim at them.
And finally, they studied infernal energy and created several thods to counter it. Which, in turn, neutralized and weakened demons.
Demons had beco experintal subjects for humans’ perverted desire to understand everything.
Irma himself nearly beca one.
The only race that stifled humanity’s advances was the Horde, and that’s only because they were already a sovereign race long before humans ever knew the Primitive Universe.
But even they were kicked out of the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm when it’s all said and done.
Humans weren’t scary because they’re strong. They’re scary because they will freely admit that they don’t know everything, and they’re willing to learn. And once humans take one step forward, it would take a divine intervention to force them a step back.
And so, that’s how they rose to beco the sovereign race of the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm.
As for Irma, he had beco one of the very few demons who survived. One of the re tens of thousands who had been driven out of Heavenly Star.
The worst part? Irma only survived out of luck. His luck veered him off the path of the Human Sovereigns.
And as the very last few of them traversed the void outside the dinsional gap, Irma was one of the very few and defeated demons who wanted to let go of the idea of revenge. He even wanted to join those who separated from the group.
Alas, he’s too much of a coward to voice out his grievances. And in the end, he followed the main group to migrate to the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm.
And maybe because he had been unfortunate for so long that, upon arriving here, his luck turned around.
Irma was the first to talk to the young infernal who got a little too curious. He was the first friend of the Infernals as a whole, and he was the one who perford the ’Ascension Ceremony’ for his Infernal friend.
A ritual, if that could even be called such, that turned out to be the key to their fate’s divergence.
Irma beca one of the holy priests. Later, a Grand Oracle of the Infernal Race, and now...
The Demon God.
Oh, what a life it has been for Irma.
He went from being teased because of his na to becoming the second coming of the Demon God.
Now, he stood above all else in the entirety of the Black Pegasus Realm. The Demon Race, under his rule, had all beco the sovereign race of this realm.
Sure, he wasn’t alone in this endeavor; he couldn’t have made it on his own. But he sure was the first spark of the change.
He was the one who converted the young and curious infernal who befriended him, which later corrupted the poor child into his mindless slave. He was the one who practically seized the fortune and riches of the whole Infernal Race. He even renad them as the new Demon Race too.
And more importantly, it was him who decided to let his people out to spread the corruption of infernal energy everywhere.
Now, that corruption has steeped very deeply into every corner of the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm.
And he was coronated as the new Demon God.
Oh, how the tables have turned indeed.
But as much as he felt comfortable seizing this throne. The idea of revenge didn’t seem like the right choice for now.
No. Not yet. The ti for that will co.
First, he had to search for allies.
