Cedric was right in his assumption that it won’t take long before he learns all the necessary law essences needed to complete the Origin Sword Laws...

Many years have passed, and his clone was still inside the tiny shelter he created. All the insights he got since his first ti comprehending the Origin Sword Law tablet had been properly digested but certainly hadn’t been exhausted.

His mind was still swimming in the vast sea of laws. The law essences for Origin Saw Lords lit up like suns in his perception. He swam to them, approaching them with ardor, curiosity, and awe. He comprehends them like a man starved by knowledge.

Cedric was devouring the insights like he was afraid they’d disappear if he wasn’t fast enough.

This resulted in him comprehending sword law essences at a pace that would make even the Human Sovereigns speechless.

With about 30 years left before he had to go on another trial, Cedric’s clone opened his eyes.

In that instant, a sharp whistle echoed out from within him without his conscious permission. This sharp sound was akin to a sword being unsheathed, and it wasn’t that simple either.

Just this sound was able to leave sword scars all over his shelter. The scars were deep and laced with sword energies that prickle the skin just by re sight and cut the longer one stares at them.

Cedric didn’t an for this to happen. It occurred because he relaxed his control over his sword laws. But this was also a testant to how frightening his abilities had beco.

Just by rely existing, he could inflict incredible harm on his surroundings. He just relaxed his control for a bit, and that’s how this happened.

The astonishing part is that this was far from the worst he could do. Cedric hasn’t even tried yet.

Itching for so action, he stepped out of his shelter and flew outside of the inheritance zone. He found an empty land, scanned his surroundings for any traces of life, and was relieved that there were none around.

Then, a sword appeared in his hand, and in that mont he held it, and Cedric’s entire existence seed to shift.

His scholarly countenance transford into a sharp and piercing one. But it’s weird because Cedric didn’t really ’transform’ per se. He still looked the sa as he had always been: handso, tall, scholarly, and even gentle.

But the mont he held a sword, it was like he suddenly turned into soone else without any deliberate or physical transformation. He gives off an impression that he was no longer the sa man as soon as he held that sword.

With a tight and firm grip on his sword, a sharp whistling sound echoed out of his body again. This ti, it was louder. But instead of leaving sword scars everywhere around him, this ti, it was controlled.

His sword law sang in a fever pitch, howling as if jubilant for its release. It was fearless, brave, and unyielding.

The fabrics of space, ti, and reality around him curdled and warped. In his perception, these fabrics were too brittle.

With a slow and soft slice of his sword, he opened a rift above him. One that revealed the vast and ominous starry sky above. The rift was cut clean; the motion was perfectly calculated.

The rift didn’t last for long. Because of how dense and active the concept laws here were, it nded just as soon as he sliced it open.

However, his act of cutting that rift open was particularly eye-opening for Cedric.

He had never, and he ant ’NEVER,’ had such an easy ti cutting space like that. Cedric wasn’t trying at all. It’s more of a whim of his rather than an idea.

He looked at the sword in his hand and saw it humming gently as if it was pleased. It’s being doused into such rich and dense sword laws that, as ordinary as it was in composition, it was changing, evolving into a better sword.

Cedric closed his eyes for a bit and focused. The whistling sharpness around him faded and was being actively reeled back to his body.

Shortly after, it’s gone. Like it was never there to begin with.

But when Cedric opened his eyes, his pupils were dilated.

In a swift and incredibly elegant motion, he already assud a stance.

Swoosh!

The sword slash appeared. It’s like a gigantic shark’s fin that appeared out of nowhere and cleaved the land. Cedric moved so fast that it’s simply impossible for the naked eye to follow his movent.

He had made that attack and returned to a neutral stance before anybody could notice. Hell, so would even say that he simply didn’t move at all.

As for that shark’s fin-like sword energy? Cedric had to actively disperse that one, or else it’d go on to the very end of this continent, possibly even further, if he didn’t.

That thing wasn’t just cutting the earth. It’s slicing through space, ti, and reality as it goes on. Even Karma couldn’t escape from the sharpness of that thing.

The crazy part is that Cedric could easily send out hundreds of that thing in a single minute. Possibly even thousands. And with how absurd even a single one of those was, Cedric could easily dismantle hordes of enemies effortlessly.

With this power over Sword Laws, distance wasn’t an issue for him.

Sword Laws isn’t about cutting the hardest tal; it’s about the ability to cut through things that are, otherwise, impossible to be cut in the first place using even the most ordinary sword there is. Things like conceptual laws, soul, spirit, etc.—everything was on the table.

This is why Sword Laws ranks among the top of the most lethal concept laws in terms of offensive abilities.

Cedric could slice through his shared karma with his enemy, killing them across spaceti.

If Cedric could perceive it, he could cut it.

And the most insane part? This wasn’t even its pinnacle. This wasn’t at the level of the Origin Sword Laws just yet. It’s just the barest and crudest fusion of all sword law essences, not a true Origin Sword Law.

Which ans it can still go crazier than this.

Cedric sighed in awe. As expected, concept laws were truly where real power lies. This wasn’t even the worst that he could do, and he already feels invincible. So much so that he had to actively try to relax and humble himself because he could already feel his ego swelling massively with this much power available at his fingertips.

’Be in control. Don’t let power consu your sanity. Stay focused, grounded, and confident,’ he told himself repeatedly as if it were a mantra.

And sohow, it’s working.

But Cedric didn’t return to his shelter just yet, no. He stayed out and decided to let loose for a bit.

He’s trying to completely familiarize himself with the new ceiling of his strength to control it better.

If there’s one thing Cedric couldn’t stand, it’s not being in full control of himself, his strength, and his power. If it’s his, then it had to obey him. If he doesn’t want it to appear, or even peek out, then it shouldn’t.

This has always been how he viewed himself—in control.

And that’s what he’s working on right now. He wants to be in control so that he can only show what he wants others to see.

Besides, being in control ans mastering himself. This will also, undoubtedly, help him when the ti cos for him to begin structuring all of the sword law essences to build the frawork for the Origin Sword Laws.

If either, or both, Nick and Pat were here, they’d probably cry in envy of his talent and his luck.

The two of them had to literally fight tooth and nail to continue comprehending law essences. They’ve felt aggrieved and desperate and almost went nuts just trying to hold on to the opportunity, yet here he was, relaxed and taking his sweet ti being in control over his abilities.

Not even they have this kind of luxury.

Though, to be fair, if they were in his position, they’d probably do the sa as him because, well...the Origin Heaven Continent won’t run away; it’ll remain there, and they’d always have a chance so long as they survive the trial.

Alas, they’re not as lucky as Cedric.

They probably wouldn’t even dare to imagine that he, a mid-stage Heavenly Venerate, didn’t just catch up but was also completely far ahead of them in terms of comprehending concept law essences.

Actually, even if they were here, Cedric would still outpace them. Why? Because he’s much more talented than they are. He has already proven this when he participated in the tournant and broke every record there was.

It couldn’t be helped. Cedric was just different. A monstrous genius through and through.

As he is, he’s actually already more than qualified to beco the 6th Human Sovereign. He could join their ranks if he so chose. It’s just that Cedric had no interest in doing so.

Cedric was already content with managing a small corner of the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm. He has no interest in more.
