Ten more years passed since the Space Whale’s death...
In this past decade, Cedric did nothing but instruct his clones to go around exploring the death zone and picking fights with the creatures living here.
He has killed so and fled from so. But victory or defeat wasn’t really his main concern. He did it to polish his skills and to hasten his synchronization with the Primitive Universe.
And his efforts weren’t in vain. Because during this past decade, his progress accelerated greatly.
Cedric now stood at the peak of the Cosmic Level, just a step away from the Immortal Level.
His efforts brought imnse progress to his law comprehension. Now, he’s looking at
[Fire Laws—Entry at Great Law Level.]
[Sword Laws and Runic Laws—Entry at Great Law Level.]
[Space and Ti Laws—Proficient at the Great Law Level.]
[Misc. Concept Laws—Major Mastery at the Fundantal Level.
And just like before, Cedric mainly focused on Fire, Sword, Ti, and Space Laws. The rest just followed as he moved forward.
Anybody who’s heard of his progress would probably cry tears of blood due to unfairness. So might even be tempted to kill him out of jealousy.
Having five concept laws reaching the Great Law level at the Cosmic Level shouldn’t have been possible. It’s unheard of, given how vast and complicated concept laws were.
One must know that the more concept law one knew, the stronger their foundation was in their life evolution.
As it stands, Cedric’s current foundation was at least five tis greater compared to most Immortal Level experts. And this would just increase over ti, given how his other concept laws followed his progression.
Cedric’s eyes were such a cheat. The ability to directly stare at the concept law structure without suffering any backlash shouldn’t be allowed.
Truthfully, Cedric didn’t think that it’d be this way too. He thought that he had long since outgrown the usefulness of his eyes. Sure, it paved the way for him to reach the peak, but he was never too reliant on it.
He thought that he already got all the possible benefits it could give him. Yet after arriving at the Primitive Universe, he was proven wrong.
But is it really the eyes or him? At this point, he’s not so sure anymore. However, Cedric also wasn’t one to push away such a grand gift. He’s past the point of caring too much. Since he had this ability, he might as well take advantage of it.
One thing’s for sure, though. With this ability, Cedric was steadily making progress towards his goals.
While it might take others more than a decade, perhaps even centuries, to reach the sa level as his current one, Cedric only needed a fraction of that, which was already a great advantage. But it doesn’t make him invincible.
Like it or not, Cedric remains mostly ignorant about the world outside this death zone. His strength and progress might be impressive to so, but with how many people are out there, he couldn’t be the only one, so he couldn’t be too confident or arrogant.
On another note...
Because of his activities within the past ten years, Cedric has mapped out the Death Zone quite well on his own.
He had sent his clone to almost all corners of this place to not only search for suitable sparring partners but also search for any possible exits.
Cedric didn’t have to worry about finding sparring partners. Hell, he just needed to breathe loudly, and sothing would throw itself to him to participate.
Searching for an exit, though? Well, that’s more challenging. Because even after ten years of searching, Cedric only discovered one, and it’s the sa one he suspected before, being blocked by the Space Whale.
Now that it’s dead, Cedric could go use that exit to get out of here, right?
Wrong!
Because as it turns out, that so-called exit was, in fact, a spatial wormhole...the bad kind.
While regular wormholes weren’t bad, most being stable and precise, this one was different. It used to be stable until the Space Whale ca; it recklessly barged in, collapsing the wormhole through forced entry, before blocking it with its imnse body.
It was supposed to recover on its own, especially since nobody used it after the Space Whale did, but that’s when the Spatial Turbulence occurred, which ravaged it even further. Its progress was ruined, and it would take at least a thousand years before it becos barely usable again.
Cedric discovered all of this by peering through the history of this place through the use of Ti Laws at a Great Law level.
One could imagine how upset this made him feel. Cedric even spat harshly at the skeletal remains of the space whale because of what it did. Alas, it’s too late to complain now.
And so, Cedric could only search for another exit. Alas, he had yet to find another. At this point, he’s already thinking that this might be the only one, and it’s left in this state.
But Cedric has yet to completely explore the Death Zone. There are still areas he hadn’t checked yet, mostly because they’re either too far or too dangerous for him. Not all hope is lost yet. But it certainly is difficult.
This made him recall sothing that he got from Cade’s mories. It says that ’It’s very easy to enter the Death Zone, yet it’s almost impossible to escape from it.’
In Cade’s mories, there had been a lot of people who either accidentally entered the Death Zone or willingly ca to it seeking challenge. However, those who managed to get out of it could only be counted on one hand. And when they ca out, they’re not quite the sa anymore.
Cedric could imagine why. He’s here after all. If it weren’t for him being careful at every step of the way, he’d be dead by now; that’s how dangerous this place is. Even one wrong step could cause death.
The only difference is that Cedric’s used to it by now. In fact, it has beco normal for him to be extra cautious with everything he does. He breathes and bleeds caution at this point.
This isn’t to say that he’s acting like a coward, afraid and suspicious of everything around him. He’s just cautious. Besides, a coward wouldn’t provoke the unknown inhabitants of the death zone to beco sparring partners.

Clang! Boom! Crash!
This day, just like many others in the past, Cedric was out sparring with strange creatures once more.
His sword flashed around him, sending sharp projectiles that sliced through everything in its path like a hot knife through butter.
The enemy was greatly alard, seemingly sensing the incredible threat this sword posed to its existence and barely getting out of its way. It snarled hatefully at Cedric, feeling humiliated and deathly afraid of him.
Yet Cedric was unmoved. He pressed on the advantage and swung the sword once more; this ti, it contained a temperature so high that it might even lt the sun itself.
The sword burned space in its wake, leaving behind a trail of burning tears. It was fast, too. Unlike the previous attack, this one was sothing it couldn’t avoid. And so, the sword pierced its body and set it ablaze.
Roar!
The enraged and incredibly pained roar of the creature echoed through the vast space, yet nobody ca to help it out. It tried to flee to save its life. But the pain was too much, and the fire was too domineering. Before it could even take a couple of steps away from Cedric, it was already burnt to ashes.
Cedric’s sword, still glowing orange from the excessive heat he stuffed into it, returned and hovered behind him like a royal guard waiting for another instruction.
He sighed and was about to return when all of a sudden, he felt a strange buzz erupting from sowhere nearby.
Boom!!
Cedric’s eyes widened in surprise. He crossed his arms in front of him, just in ti to block the shockwave coming out of nowhere. The force caused him to skid several hundred ters away from where he originally stood.
His eyes shone with a phantasmal radiance as he began searching for the source of this sudden explosion. But before he could even see anything, he was startled because...
Roar!!!
A strong and enraged roar followed the explosion. The sound was so loud it echoed throughout the entire death zone, alarming every living creature within.
But it’s what followed this that truly astonished him.
Woosh!!
A strange fluctuation appeared, and when it passed through Cedric, his eyes widened because he felt a warm current stimulating his body and clearing his mind. His inner world stirred within him, sending him an urgent request to take whatever the source of this fluctuation was.
Then, he slled it...
The scent of sothing light, sweet, citrusy, and crisp. It was a refreshing scent that shouldn’t be appearing in a place like this, yet it’s here and couldn’t be mistaken.
"What kind of treasure is this?"
