’Guess it’s ti to stop playing, huh.’ Calix thought as his hand moved towards his blade.
It was a double bladed longsword draped in a tallic sheath, as he gripped the sword gently. The leathered hilt of the sword felt just right.
With a fluid swing the blade ca out, shining with a graceful light as the rays of the ever continuing dusk hit it gently.
For a mont, Calix glanced at the drowning sun, which wrapped the edge of the colossal sky in the serene yet brilliant shade of pink and red, before his gaze returned back to Lunive.
Between them there were no words needed. Without saying anything they understood it all. Thus, for a split second the wind rustled through the proximity gently.
Then like a crack in a broken glass the mont shattered...both moved at the sa ti with fierce excitent and enthusiasm.
A streak of enchanting purple light was followed by a trail, as Calix dashed towards Lunive lightning wrapped around his blade and legs.
He was a blur made of lightning and power, wherever he walked on the ring charred stone remained as his tricolour pupils swirled with cold efficiency.
’Fast.’ Lunive thought, as she instantly brought her staff down towards the ground, hitting it lightly. As the staff hit, circles appeared around her into the air as they spewed out bursting fla.
People gasped around as they watched the circles, even the magic instructor of the academy nodded, impressed.
Conjuring a magic circle in the open air was a feat, only those who have reached the advanced rank could do.
That’s because to conjure a magic circles you would need a base that supports the circles when it’s being integrated and supplied with mana however it’s a task that is too difficult for Novice’s or Intermidiate’s as they possess neither that much control in mana not that finesse required to complete it.
However, it wasn’t an unattainable feat...after all they all were seeing the live example of it, in front of them right now.
A mage conjuring not one but four magic circles in the air, while still being an Interdiate ranked. It was truly in the realms of a prodigy whose genius surpasses it all.
Bsshh....whirr
"Searing Fall." Lunive spoke, while grinning.
Like a waterfall of fire, the torrent spewed flas from the four circles rushed towards Calix who was re feet away from Lunive, his sword raised backwards in taut.
’As expected.’ He thought as he saw the flas moving towards him.
Changing his direction from the front slightly, he dodged the first fla while he jumped above the other one feeling the high heat on his back.
The third appeared instantly on his face as he landed, however at the last mont he crouched back horizontally, his back almost touching the ground.
’Three down one left.’ With the thought he pushed himself up however instead of standing he remained ducked.
The last fla was before him, yet instead of dodging it like the other ones, he straight dashed towards the fla.
Lightning flashed like a descent of storm and chaos, as for a long mont only whistling silence followed. Then like a phoenix writhed in flas Calix erged from the fla.
Without a single blemish on him except for the slight burn on his hand. Heck, even his hood was safe as she could see the faint lightning around him protecting him from the fire.
"Insane bastard." That was she could utter before, a pulsing pain appeared in her stomach. For a mont, her vision blurred as electricity coursed through her body.
It felt like her body was being stabbed by thousands and thousands of needles just from a single punch.
"Kru-" Blood flowed out of her mouth as she skidded towards the back, from the force of Calix’s punch.
’What the fuck is that insane strength?’ Lunive questioned as she gasped for breath through the pain, she could feel the tallic taste on her tongue.
Without giving her even a second to think Calix moved again. His hand shot forward as spikes of electricity whizzed towards Lunive with brutal efficiency.
Watching this, Lunive gritted her teeth through the pain, as she flicked her long staff towards the spike.
Around her orbs of flas materialised as they struck the spikes instantly creating miniature explosions in the field.
Yet, even before the explosions could finish Calix moved on the offensive. It was unbelievable.
To most of them sitting here, it felt like they were just watching a dream. A dream shared by many.
They couldn’t believe it, a Novice ranked going toe to toe against soone higher ranked in them and even doing significant damage to them.
It was truly an astounding feat, one that felt unreal. They watched...eyes wide and jaw dropped as Calix appeared through the smoke, his sword slashing straight towards Lunive.
"Like I would for that again." Saying this Lunive snapped her fingers. A wall of condensed fla materialised in front of her. Simultaneously, she also dashed backwards from it, arrows of fire appearing around her.
"Yeh, I know you wouldn’t." The voice sent down cold shivers down her spine as she raised her head in the air.
Then, her eyes widened. A flare of athyst exploded around him as a concentrated charge of lightning erupted into the air.
Desperately, her hand swung forward as she sent the arrows towards him, yet they all failed, however one of the arrows caught onto his hood.
In the middle of the air, his hood burned to tatters as for the first ti his face was revealed.
A face that seed to be, what people would call divine, appeared in front of her.
His short black hair till his brows, fluttered into the air wildly painting a swirling visage of pure beautiful midnight on the canvas filled with azure, athyst and orange.
His face was devilishly handso, as if made just for the purpose of seducing and enchanting the woman till they forget
themselves.
Yet, what took the cake was his eyes.
The athyst eyes made from the purest of purple, while a tricolour blend of gold blue and white swirled in his pupils with an intensity that made her breath catch.
In a blink the world had stopped. Then breaking the deafening silence, a deep and calm voice spoke.
"Surrender."
