Fwip.
Calix landed on his feet, as the dungeon gate threw him out like a chewed peice of gum. The dizziness from Spatial Teleportation hit him however this ti already knowing about it helped in maintaining sembelance.
Turning around through the ss of his senses, he watched the gate dulling and flickering out of existence..a mont later it disappeared like it was never there.
Fwirrrr
As his senses cald down. A sensation hit him instantly.
Heat.
Harsh and dry heat covered him like a blanket so dry, that he found it hard to breathe in it. His lungs felt like they had been filled with spice that slowly scratched them internally.
Frowning from the irritating wind he moved so so steps forward from the cave he was in and finally caught the glimpse of where the heat ca from.
Lifeless.
That was the word which ca to his mind almost imdiately as he looked at his front. His pupils growing slightly bigger.
A vast barren and uncomprehensible desert lay before him completely devoid of life and vegetation. Instead hard peak of obsidian rock and large dunes of sand filled his gaze as far as he could look.
The wind was fast like... really fast as the small particles of sand hitting him felt like small ants crawling all over his body.
However what unsettled Calix the most here was.. It was the absence of light.
Yes, the whole literal desert from the harsh rocks to the minute particles of sand everything here was black.
Quickly, he raised his head towards the sky with widened eye’s only for his breath to be caught again. In the vast expanse of black, stars...millions of star shimred with an eerie black light.
Yet...even in the absolute black he could see perfectly without any trace hindrance.
A cold feeling feeling settled over his heart. Wrong...this harrowing place in which he hadn’t even took a total of ten steps felt very very wrong.
As if confirming his doubts the system’s voice chid once again.
[You have entered the Dungeon...
Evaluating....
Host hadn’t completed any of his previous two assignnts before entering the Dungeon.
Evaluating the Dungeon again....process complete.
Quest has been updated.
Difficulty-????
Survive.]
The system monotouns voice rang freely in his mind as he stood still. The quest window regarding the instructions opened again.
[Quest Update- Complete first and second objective of the quest with the giving ti.
The third objective had been unlocked as host had entered the Dungeon.
3)- Survive....
Due to a slight error...a malfunction has happened. Thus, the host had been provided with a hint.
Hint- Look for the light in the middle of black as it serves both as the reward and gate of dungeon... however if you ever see red...RUN. Stop everything and run without thinking anything.
Pushing down the gravel filled breath that stuck in his lungs down, Calix read everything on the screen...
"Malfunction? Fucking malfunction?" He kicked the wall of the cave in slight anger as he growled at the system.
"What do you an there’s a malfunction?"
[Sorry, host...your Bond had caused more damage than i was originally allocated for. Thus, there were so disperencies which were left uncheck. And when you were given the quest they were triggered allocating you for a dungeon which should have been given when you were an interdiate rank.]
Calix went quiet.
’What kind of stupid system I have been given? Weren’t these things supposed to be perfect according to the novel?’
He thought in his mind.
"Didn’t you fucking boasted about being a great system? What happened to that?"
He received no answer.
"Hey....hello, anyone there?" Taunting system Calix didn’t noticed sothing moving very slowly.
[Please! Host stoppp...you also know that nothing is omnipotent right? Sotis error happens even with greats like ...so cut it so slack will you.]
"Uh-huh, yes. As if leaving stranded in this barren place wasn’t enough you want to cut so slack? How cheeky."
As Calix finished those words, the walls above of the cave shifted slightly. The vibration so small that Calix couldn’t catch it.
[Host, if i were you... instead of yapping complaints about sothing both you and i couldn’t do anything about...I would be moving already. Also the system would be going on reboot process. It would assure that there will be no problem like that in the upcoming future.]
"Wait-what? Hey, sys-" Before, he could finish saying anything Calix’s mouth fell shut.
Shivers.
Cold and crawling shivers ran down his spine as his body moved without any thought instinctively. He dashed towards the front.
Chomp
A sound of rock hitting rock, echoed in the silenced black world as the cave..no as the mouth of monster in which Calix was closed it’s mouth shut.
"Haa haa." Heavy breaths ca out his nose as he looked at the closed mouth of the monster. Then raising his gaz, he was t with an abyss of black.
Eyes stared at him, filled with nothing.
Not malice, not with hatred and not even with hunger.
Nothing filled in those eyes as monster looked at Calix. Calix gazing back into the abyss felt himself go cold and strength left his arms and legs for a mont.
For a mont silence reined.
Then like a whip the cave monster’s mouth lashed out from the black sand towards him. However, as the sand hit Calix in the face it also broke him from his freezed state.
Instantly sparks of electricity materialized in the world as Calix dashed towards the side.
’Too close.’
He througt. For it’s size the monster moved too fast almost as if it was a rank...higher than him.
As the thought ca into his mind. A very bad feeling rose in his heart. However the monster didn’t seed in any mood to give him chance as it lashed out again.
Though, this ti Calix was moving first.
Standing on the black sand as electricity whipped around him.
He turned and run.
